Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Trombone,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.742937 Composed by Ian Deterling. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 50 pages. Ian Deterling #3382509. Published by Ian Deterling (A0.742937). This rather unconventional instrumentation is the product of Deterling being commissioned to compose a work for two friends: Matthew Booth and Hannah Swanson. Although set in F Minor, Allegretto con brio has a playful, energetic quality, reminiscent of exciting times that foreshadowed dark events. Adagio laments is a reflection of forgotten memories, and Allegro con fuoco is a furious rapid-fire of anger and confusion with light being shed upon the findings of oneself.

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1173897). A beautiful song about coming to the Savior with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Kathryn W. Hales.Text:I went in the Gold Rush like many a man,To search for some nuggets or a flash in the pan.But few were the findings from a grand mother lode,I went for the Gold Rush, but I didn’t find gold.I found what was there, growing right from the ground,The flora and fauna, with trees that abound.I found the beauty of nature’s own place,I found the beauty shown by God’s grace.Like those in the Gold Rush, I’ve oft followed man,To search for the shiny, a flash in the pan,But the glamour soon ended when the glitzy wore thin,I went for the sparkly but found grace for my sins. The world cannot offer the true value of souls,For they are more precious than nuggets of gold.I found true wealth, not deep in a mine,But in the pierced hands of a Savior divine.I might lose my way, when guided by man,So, look to the heavens and follow God’s plan. The glitter of Fool’s Gold has many deceived__A glimmer of hope, then deep tears of grief.I’ll look for the riches only He can bestow,I’ll avoid that ol’ Gold Rush but seek for true gold.By seeking a life, eternal and pure,Seeking for Jesus, who gives gold that endures.

Digital Download SKU: S9.Q25917 Vocal Score based on the Richard Wagner Complete Edition edited by Wolfgang M. Wagner. Composed by Richard Wagner. This edition: vocal/piano score. Erstveröffentlichung - Oper - Theater. Wagner Urtext Piano/Vocal Scores. Downloadable, Piano reduction. Schott Music - Digital #Q25917. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q25917). German • French. An important addition to Schott's newly published orchestral material is the first publication of piano scores for the ten major operas by Richard Wagner in all major versions. For the first time, we offer the stages and interested opera lovers piano scores as urtext editions that were designed according to uniform editorial criteria.•The score is aligned with the performance material of the Complete Edition. •All piano scores have study numbers and continuous measure numbers for rehearsal and study practice. •The editors are renowned musicologists from the circles of those working on the Richard Wagner Complete Edition who contribute detailed information on the respective editions to the critical prefaces.•The prefaces are printed in three languages (German, English, French). •The uniform appealing cover design with reproductions of paintings from the Wagner era emphasizes the serial character of the edition.TANNHÄUSERFor the Richard Wagner Complete Edition, the editors Egon Voss, Peter Jost and Reinhard Strohm as well as Cristina UrchueguÃa have researched and presented Tannhäuser's genesis and history of more than thirty years, which also took about thirty years of scientific work, on 2,959 pages in eight volumes. With the present piano score, the findings gathered therein shall now also to be made accessible for the musical practice. (Wolfgang M. Wagner, quoted from the foreword to the new Tannhäuser piano score)The piano score unites for the first time all four stages of the work (the score as of 1845, the score as of 1860, the Paris version as of 1861/62 with the complete French text of this version, and the Vienna version as of 1875) in a single excerpt for rehearsal and study practice, thus allowing the comparison of the versions, without sacrificing practicability. All variants are printed one after the other in the chronological sequence of the action on the stage, so that each of them can be explored in their context of action by simply turning over the pages. Only two variants rejected before the Paris premiere were printed separately in the appendix. A fascinating insight into Richard Wagner's thinking in terms of stage practice and into his very precise ideas of tonal balance, scenic details and role-conception are made possible by the quotations printed in key passages from his work On the Performance of Tannhäuser, published in 1852.For example, soon after the world premiere, Wagner suggested the deletion of bars in the orchestral part in the 4th scene of Act I, reasoning that […] due to the tremendous woodenness and self-consciousness of our usual supernumeraries, the impression of overwhelming liveliness, which was intended by me and which was to imply a heightening of the mood led up to by the liveliest manifestations of life, was not achieved. (piano reduction, p. 221)In the big ensemble scene at the end of Act II, Wagner puts in a comment at a certain passage, referring to the conductor and his great responsibility for tonal balance:The exclamations 'Ach, erbarm' dich mein!' require such a piercing emphasis that he [the performer of Tannhauser] as a mere, well-trained singer is not enough; it is but the highest dramatic art that has to provide him the energy of pain and desperation for an expression that must seem to break forth from the most gruesome depths of an awfully woeful heart, like a cry for salvation. The conductor has to ensure that the implied success is made possible for the principal singer by the most discrete accompaniment of the other singers as well as of the orchestra. (piano reduction, p. 367)3 (3. auch Picc.) · 2 · 2 · Bassklar. [nicht in Pariser F.] · 2 - 2 Ventilhr. · 2 Waldhr. · 3 Ventiltrp. · 3 · 1 [Pariser F.: Ophicléïde] - P. S. (Trgl. · Beck. · Tamb. · gr. Solo Guitar - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1021517 Composed by Victor Rebullida. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary. Individual part. 14 pages. Victor Rebullida #6055667. Published by Victor Rebullida (A0.1021517). Recorded by Alberto Royo in CD Mistúra. Música para guitarra. Cuatro autores contemporáneos aragoneses. Edited by Delicias Discográficas 2001. Reference DCD-28. More information about the CD: alberto.guitarra@gmail.comGioco is a five part piece: Allegro leggiero; tpo. giusto Triste e intenso; poco rubato Scherzando Adagio meditativo Allegro agitato The author wrote:Gioco, an Italian word meaning game, is the title of this guitar work composed in 1994.Gioco is a work of current aesthetic, atonal, built however on a structure as classic as that of a Sonata, of great conciseness and clarity and brief duration. It consists of five movements in which the former has a simple, school sonata shape, with two well-identifiable themes, one ethereal based on sets of bells and harmonics and another choppy, contrasting, in parallel ninth intervals, which are developed and subsequently reexposed at the end of the movement. The second movement is a slow time when the resonance of arpeggiated sounds is important. As will happen in the fourth half, the music conveys a sense of freedom, almost improvisation resulting from its unsympted writing and the irregularity of the measure. The third is a Scherzo in which humorous character is accentuated by the rapid descending and ascending glissandi. No less grotesque is the contrasting quote of Gaspar Sanz's Spaniard played in a singular way as will be seen in the interpretation, suddenly interrupted by the glissandi. The fourth is another slow movement in which resonances are also the center. Here you resort to obtaining a particular, harmonic sound similar to the sound of a gong, by placing paper clip on the three boards of the guitar. The fifth and final time is live movement in the form of a purr in which the different episodes are quotes from the themes appeared in the previous movements. The player says about this work: Work dated in 1994, virtuoso and contrasting, of resounding accessibility, not intending to reach the audience using easy resources but an admirable capacity for communication, Gioco is divided into five movements in which varied colours and textures occur and almost all the abundant classical and contemporary timbric resources of the guitar are exploited with intelligence, (controlled challenges, blows on the board, metallic vibration of a clip...), In this work one of the outstanding findings of its author is the alternative use in the Scherzando of his contemporary language and two recognizable literal quotations of the Aragonese Baroque guitarist Gaspar Sanz, which appear softly in an ironic and evocative loudness. Justino Losada wrote this review:Gioco, represents a continuous game of sonorities of very rich timbric nuances as well as an exacerbated game of frets (such as in its 3rd movement Scherzando), and abundant contemporary resources such as the microtonal vicinity of the detuned passages or the blows on the box for our interpreter to show of his skills, a task that although complicated he knows how to perform perfectly coming out of all difficulties. Rebullida's language is not simple, but the composer is clearly aware of the difficulties to reach a large audience, and to do so he polishes his language by seeking an exchange between modern and ancient sonorities in a continuous game creating a climate of warm and direct communication. Large Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe,Percussion - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.555864 Composed by Edmund Angerer - ascribed variously to Joseph Haydn, Leopold Mozart, Michael Haydn, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Rainprechter. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Children,Christmas,Classical,Standards. Score and parts. 52 pages. RayThompsonMusic #6047585. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.555864). This work was long reputed to be the work of Joseph Haydn, but later scholarship suggested that it was actually written by Leopold Mozart. Its authorship is still disputed, however, and other composers have been proposed as the symphony's true author, including Joseph Haydn's younger brother Michael Haydn, who purportedly contributed movements to the work.Recent research on a newly found manuscript suggests the Austrian Benedictine monk Edmund Angerer (1740–1794) to be the author. If Angerer's manuscript (from 1765, entitled Berchtolds-Gaden Musick) is the original, the Toy Symphony was originally written not in G but rather in C. These findings, however, are disputed among scholars. There is reason to believe that the true composer will likely never be known, in whole or in part, given its confused origins and the paucity of related manuscript sources.Even without a name attached to it, the piece has become a mainstay for children's shows and Christmastime concerts. Each of its three movements features the sounds of actual toys and instruments that sound like they came straight from Geppetto's workshop. The piece calls for a toy trumpet, ratchet, nightingale, cuckoo, drum, and triangle. ( A quail makes it’s only appearance in the 2nd movement.Noisemakers rattle throughout the first of its three movements. The cuckoo and trumpet  call out mischievously during the minuetto of the second movement , and a quail joins the nightingale in the trio. In the short third mvt which is played 3 times, they all play again, each repeat faster than the previous one.The presence of the toy instruments make this a fun piece for children to play, especially when there are also some toys waiting under the tree.My arrangement is based on the Kinder-Symphonie attributed to Leopold Mozart. It is scored in C.it is in 3 mvts and is arranged for double wind quintet, bass and toy percussion.i have distributed the original strings around the woodwind, and composed original classical horn parts.Sometimes known as Children’s Symphony.

Published by Pentharmonics (A0.1237524). Arcanum - Grade 3 - Duration 8:00 min....the secret. Every day the knowledge in the world is continuously growing. In all fields of life, new findings are attained by science and research, more and more can be explained, a well-founded understanding of the things around is going to be achieved. However, the mysterious will still persist. Every new perception leads to further questions, new secrets are rising for being explored. Moreover, someone might perceive that in relation to the entire knowledge gained by mankind, the individual is shrinking. Thus, until the end of time the world will stay mysterious - the world seems to be a persistent secret, that wants to be discovered at all times anew. The musical motif of the Question begins with the very first sound of the piece - a dissonance that is harmoniously resolved again. This motif reflects the curiosity that lies dormant in all people. The dissonance creates a tension that can be seen as an impetus for the search for answers. The resolution to a major chord describes the confidence of being able to find an answer to the question. This musical motif runs through the entire work, both in the dreamy bliss of being and in the dramatic passages in which the flood of questions seems to become frightening. In such sections, the dissonance is turning into a minor chord. At the dramatic climax, a tense dominant seventh chord leads to the resolution to major, which finally describes the euphoria after the answer of a very difficult question. After a further phase of relaxation, the gaze wanders over nature in all its glory. Until towards the end of the piece, the awareness finally sets in that every answer found raises a new question and thus the mystery remains forever. The PDF contains the score and all parts, already multiplied accordingly for a common number of musicians in a concert band. No duplication of parts necessary - so, just print and go. The paper layout is actually designed for European A4 paper, but printing on 8.5 x 11 inches format has no effect on readability.More about the composer: www.helmut-kogler.comMore music by Helmut Kogler: www.pentharmonics.com

German.<br> <br> An important addition to our newly produced orchestral materials is the first publication of vocal scores of Wagner’s ten great operas, in every important version, based on the Complete Edition. * The score corresponds to the performance materials from the Complete Edition. * For practical use in rehearsal cues and bar numbers throughout. * The publisher has secured the services of renewed musicologists associated with the Richard Wagner Complete Edition who convey detailed information in critical forewords. * The forewords are given in three languages(German, English, French). * Uniform and attractive front cover designs with reproductions of paintings from the Wagner era underline the series design of the edition. DIE MEISTERSINGER VON NÜRNBERG “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg is today still considered a German festival and national opera: this evaluation is borne out by the opera’s performance history, the history of its reception and customary performance practice. Critical minds will perhaps recall the quotation from Friedrich Nietzsche’s publication \"Jenseits von Gut und Böse\" [Beyond Good and Evil] in which the Vorspiel [Prelude] to Meistersinger is described as ‘magnificent, ornate and ponderous art’ and Wagner’s music in general as being ‘rough and coarse’. This music according to Nietzsche possesses ‘no trace of the fine southern clarity of the sky and nothing of grace’, but instead ‘a cumbersome garb, with a touch of licentious barbarism and solemnity’ and ‘even a certain degree of ungainliness’. Nietzsche’s evaluation is regarded by many as an insight into the essence of the matter, although it is evident that Nietzsche was exaggerating in order to be provocative. What is more important today is however that this characterisation appears to have been the result of an approach to the performance of Meistersinger which had neglected or even gone as far as to misappropriate elements of this work. This is also the conclusion reached in the Meistersinger Edition of the Critical Complete Edition of the Musical Works of Richard Wagner (Richard Wagner, Sämtliche Werke, Vol. 9, I-III, edited by Egon Voss, Mainz 1979-1987). It has in fact been established that the first print of the score published by B. Schott’s Söhne in Mainz in 1868 contained numerous errors and omissions, particularly with regard to dynamic markings and articulation. The difference between staccato dots and dashes which has an influence on the tone was simply ignored. The substantial omission of these staccato markings unambiguously draws attention to the fact that Wagner intended a lighter-weight sound than was produced in adherence the first edition. The same also holds true for the dynamic markings which were submitted to a general levelling process in the first edition, thereby entirely masking their original broad scope of differentiation. […] When the saying ‘the music sets the tone’ is cited, it is in actual fact tempo, dynamics which are implied. If the new findings incorporated into the Meistersinger edition of the Critical Complete Edition are taken seriously, this will inevitably produce a new Meistersinger sound.” (Egon Voss, quoted from the foreword of the new Meistersinger vocal score; translated by Lindsay Chalmers-Gerbracht).
