Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit - For Woodwind Quintet

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.889437 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Easter,Standards. 11 pages. Luis Anjos Teixeira #4741949. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889437). The cantata „Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, BWV 106- „God`s Time Is The Very Best Time, ranks among Bach's most important works. It is a work of genius such as even great masters seldom achieve. The Actus tragicus belongs to the great musical literature of the world. Although Bach's manuscript is lost, the work is agreed to be one of the earliest Bach cantatas, probably composed during the year he spent in Mühlhausen 1707/1708 as organist of the Divi Blasil church, at the age of 22. Various funerals known to have taken place at this time have been proposed as the occasion for the composition, for example that of his uncle Tobias Lämmerhirt from his mother's family, who died inErfurt on 10 August 1707, and that of Adolph Strecker, a former mayor of Mühlhausen, whose funeral was 16 September 1708. The earliest surviving manuscript, in the hand of Christian Friedrich Penzel, was copied in 1768 after Bach's death. It introduced the title Actus tragicus. The cantata was published in 1876 as part of the first complete edition of Bach's works: the Bach-Gesellschaft-Ausgabe, edited by Wilhelm Rust. The text consists of different Bible passages from the Old and New Testament, as well as individual verses of hymns by Martin Lither and Adam Reusner, which all together refer to finiteness, preparation for death and dying. The Arrangement is relatively easy to perform, also appropriate for beginners. It is an ideal piece for advanced performers, this music touches deep into the Soul. The piece was arranged for modern instruments, I introduced some embellishments and interpretation symbols thus shortening the length of some notes, but no notes where otherwise changed or omitted in this arrangement. Also the original placement of the voices is totally respected, the structure of the piece was simply left as it was composed in its original form. Bach scored the instrumental parts for a small ensemble of Baroque instruments two recorders, two violas da gamba and continuo. I propose an interpretation for a modern woodwind quintet in this arrangement. You should feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills, Your taste and Soul. Have fun! It is a piece that can be used in many different kinds of situations, from the serious concert hall to a funeral, in Easter or even Christmas celebrations and all other kinds of Spiritual events. When performed Live It will give you back a great feedback from the public, you will always want to have it in your repertoire. The score was written on Finale. The sound file was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of this score. Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file. I hope you have a lot of fun and enjoy the music. Sheers! Luis Anjos Teixeira Thanks to Claudia Eppelt for the all the Love, the wonderful painting and cover design. Special Thanks to Johann Sebastian Bach, Stray Dog Nina, Stray Queen Mimi, Carlinhos, Maria Pontinha, Maria Joaninha, Schwarzenegger, Maria Koboldinha. For all Living beings on Earth, for all our Ancestors, Thank You for all of You All Your Love and Compassion. Love Forever. Luis Anjos Teixeira

5 Famous Songs by Bach for Flute Trio

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Flute - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138510 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Early Music,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738850. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138510). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for flute trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. They are also suitable for performances at events such as: weddings, Christian and church ceremonies, Easter, and academic recitals or concerts. They can be used in music institutions and by teachers as repertoire material and study methods, either for performance or instrumental technique. This collection includes a totally free bonus for you to enjoy: Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress is Our God, a Renaissance sacred song for choir, which has been adapted for this set. 1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. 2: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. Of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part. 3: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary's Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Although it is the 32nd cantata composed by Bach, of those that have survived, it was given BWV 147 in the complete catalog of his works. 4: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. 5: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. Bonus: A Mighty Fortress is Our God, by Martin Luther - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism, where it is also known as Deus noster refugium et virtus. Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Instrumental Duet Clarinet,Flute,Instrumental Duet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587119 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by David McKeown. Classical,Concert,Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 7 pages. David McKeown #3069107. Published by David McKeown (A0.587119). Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is the working title Mozart gave to his Serenade no.13 for Strings in G Major K525. This duet is of the famous Allegro first movement. However, even though this is one of Mozart’s best known and best loved melodies, more than thirty years passed after his death before it was first published in 1827. This version is arranged as a duet for one Flute and one Clarinet. Musicians at an advanced intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances, with both parts enjoying melodic interest. The duet format gives more instrumentalists an opportunity to play music that usually requires a quartet. The overall performance time is around nine minutes with repeats, four and a half without. Both the short sample audio and the full-length youtube performance are the Clarinet Duet version. Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement as a fun way to help with ensemble skills. There are various ornaments to negotiate, detailed articulation and a wide range of dynamics. The sample recording is from the Two Clarinets version of this duet. Classical,Concert,Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 5 pages. David McKeown #3069131. Published by David McKeown (A0.587126). Rondo Alla Turca is the title W A Mozart gave to the last movement of his 11th Piano Sonata in A Major K331. It has become one of the most instantly recognisable of Mozart’s melodies. It derives its title from the Turkish style marching bands that were fashionable in Vienna at the time. This version is arranged as a duet for one Flute and one Clarinet. Musicians at an advanced intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances, with both parts enjoying melodic interest. The duet format gives solo instrumentalists an opportunity to play music written for piano. The overall performance time is around three and a half minutes. Variations on a Theme in D Flat

Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1335323 Composed by Kendra Brown. 21st Century. 26 pages. Kendra Brown #921147. Published by Kendra Brown (A0.1335323). The main theme is inspired by the introduction of the piece. Delicate and child-like. The ostinato in the beginning of the piece that double reeds have displays the feeling of a “child-like†waltz. The pattern is in 3 but it should be played as if it is in 6/8, with emphasis on beats 1 and 3. There should be weight to the sound but it should not be heavy. Sometimes in life, (as both teens and adults) we tend to get caught up in stress or worries and we forget to take a break, relax and destress a little. This piece reminds us to go back to our childlike roots. As the theme in Section A expands, it takes a turn in Section B where the tempo picks up. (Players are encouraged to have as much fun as they can with this part.) At and after the exposed bassoon part at m.50, in the words of my old high school band director, “Let it rip potato chip!†(Meaning give it all you’ve got and have fun). Brass are encouraged to play the dynamics as written in this section but listen to each other. Section C is a bridge to the 7/8 in Section D. Section D, reintroduces the theme in the form of a trumpet solo while brass and some of the woodwinds have the ostinato. Be careful euphonium & tuba because you’re missing a beat on purpose! Section E is the “Medley†of all the parts that were previously played with only tuba playing in the relative minor so it sticks out at the bottom of the ensemble. This is symbolic of the piece itself, showing that the pressures of life can be overcome by keeping a good attitude and persevering through those tough times that you encounter. Section F is another “bridge†beginning with the flute solo reiterating the theme one last time before the “descent and climb†(starting at m.137) to the final destination: Section G. Section G should be played like an overture. Full and with joy and a “coming alive-ness†to it therefore bringing life to the once dead emotions that once were. The ending with the oboe/bassoon duet should be played as quietly as possible & as in tune as possible.

My Mother had some sad news to give me. Dad was very ill. My whole life flashed before me. My parents were always 200% supportive of all my artistic endeavors. None of my success would have been possible but for my Dad and Mom. My memories of my Dad and my Mom flooded my mind like a deluge. When I heard the news about how gravely ill he was I thought to myself that so often we give thanks, honor, or show our love when it is too late. Who wants to be that person? I was finally in the unique position to show my gratitude and love to my parents in the most special way that I could - through music from my heart and soul. I got the courage to look deeply within and then I began to write what was to become the first and second songs, respectively Tears from My Eyes: Remember Your Feelings and Tears from My Eyes: Reflection and Contemplation on my Tears from My Eyes: Songs from my Soul album. You will now be able to do just the same for your loved ones with this new music. Your intermediate level to advanced students and even professional musicians should find this to be a welcomed piece to learn and master. It looks deceptively simple but the learning and challenge comes from two smaller sub-ensembles playing together in their own collective units legato con moto while playing together as a whole music ensemble Everyone will enjoy and bathe in the beautiful harmonies that will resonate when the entire music ensemble begins to listen to each while playing together as a group. Your musicians will hone their skills in playing together with just the right balance that this song requires. Your musicians will also hone their skills for subdividing and maintaining an inner beat that is in sync with your conducting because there is no percussion and the notes are freely flowing on and off the down beat yet not sounding heavily syncopated when performed. When will you know when you have achieved the right balance and flow of the music? You will know when, because you will hear it and feel it when it comes into place. But I can help you with all of this with what I have to offer you today. I share with you now the final and 5th movement to Tears from my Eyes - Onward and Upward (for String Orchestra). This particular was created and produced after the Songs from My Soul album was sent for distribution. So, this song has yet to be officially released. All five movements will be released as an album Mourning in the Rain. This 5th movement Onward and Upward has a decisive emotional resolution and conviction in its pathos. The dynamics reflect accordingly ranging from mf to fff indicative of overcoming adversity and grief. Imagine overcoming despair, rising out of grief and depression and finally seeing the light of day - to join the ranks of the living and re-embracing life once again.Contact info: Tito AbeledaVisionary Quest Recordshttps://www.visionaryquestrecordsEmail: tito@visionaryquestrecords.comFollow Tito on Social Media:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/titoabeledaTwitter: https://twitter.com/titoabeledaInsta.

Concert Band - Digital Download SKU: A0.1012109 Composed by Jannes Jacobs. Contemporary. Score and parts. 359 pages. Jannes Jacobs #3569171. Published by Jannes Jacobs (A0.1012109). Medioevo is a Composition based on impressions from the dark ages. The composer wrote the piece to take you on a journey through this remarkable period of time.Part 1: The Promised Beginning Land Of Departurethe part opens with a decisive rhythm in the lower brass, woodwind and percussion section. The theme played by the woodwinds is written to give the listeners a middle eastern feeling. This represents the crusades. The higher brass section play a nice and static counter theme.Part 2: Enchanted DominionThis section a bit mysterious and magic, played by mallets and flutes. The theme from the Oboe represents the ghost of a warlock trapped on the dominion. As we pas trough the dominion we need the protection of the church represented by the Harpsichord (clavecimbel) and clarinets.Part 3: The rustling ForestsAfter leaving the Enchanted Dominion we gallop with our horse trough the Rustling Forests. These forest show fast winds and have a lyric theme played by the trumpets and saxesPart 4: The SquareOnce trough the Forests we get to the Village square where the market is on going. We have several sales men selling their goods. These are represented in the themes of the woodwinds. The confusion gets to much and we try to hide from the sales men. The trumpets represent this part in a piano 5/4 movement which bring a big contrast trough the noises from the market place. In the end we need to get through the market place so we find a way to keep the sales men away by playing a wonderful legato melody which the dwarf’s taught us.Part 5: Dwarf’sThese social and kind people have a little village outside of the town where joyful melodies sound from both children as adults and elderly dwarf’s. the themes are divided under the different solo players of the woodwind sections.Part 6: Run or HideAfter a nice time with the Dwarf’s we continue our path but soon we face a large army coming our way. What do we do Run or Hide? This part is full of different melodies and counter melodies to represent the indecisiveness of the Dark Ages.Part 7: NeverlandWe arrive in the land of the elves where the tenor sax and horns play an agitato atmosphere to represent our hart beat when we see these beautiful creatures. The themes from the flutes and euphoniums show the grace and beauty of the elves. While the harp creates an elf like atmosphere.Part 8 The castle Gardenswe arrive in the castle gardens. These gardens are the most beautiful in the whole land. It makes the orchestra say Ahh. While the percussion section gives it a magical feeling. After being amassed we soon find out that these gardens are made for the Authorities and paid by our tax money which gives us a double feeling. Should this money not be better spend on good music?Part 9 Black Powderafter we find out the castle lord wrongly used or tax money we go and find some black powder to blow him up. After being hunted down by the castle lord trying to get some black powder. We find ourselves in the glorious fight.Part 10: Rageour glorious fight with the castle lord continues into an enormous climax where we are stroke down and ends up with a one way ticket to the graveyard.Part 11: The GraveyardThe whole orchestra sings a spiritual song to guide us into the afterlives. An angle comes to collect our soul (represented by the piccolo flute). And slowly or name is forgotten.

5 Famous Songs by Bach for Woodwind Trio

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138509 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738849. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138509). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for woodwind trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire.

Acoustic Guitar,Alto Flute,Cello,Horn,Tenor Saxophone,Trombone,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1368317 By Kansas. By Kerry Livgren. Arranged by Jon Thingvall. Pop,Rock. 45 pages. Jon Thingvall #952661. Published by Jon Thingvall (A0.1368317). Seeking a modern setting for a French Horn solo? Is the community--or are the students--feeling that classical music is stuffy? Got a budding Guitar Hero with nowhere to play? Want to give the orchestra a break, without stopping the program completely? Need a relaxed, quasi-Adagio for the concert's pacing? This is a record-copy of KANSAS' classic rock ballad, scored for a fairly small ensemble. Most instruments can be substituted: Flute for Alto Flute, Viola or Cello for Violin, Flugelhorn for the Horn part, or 4 Trombone parts instead of 3 with Solo Horn.Acoustic Guitar (will need amp). (Part copied verbatim from the official video, with thanks to Kansas - Dust In The Wind Guitar Lesson Pt.1 - Intro & Verse (youtube.com))French Horn solo--  Steve Walsh's epic, almost-apocalyptic style seemed perfectly suited to the mystique of the French Horn. (Measure 102 is “as though spoken†like in the recording here:  https://youtu.be/tH2w6Oxx0kQ?t=126. If the audience isn't familiar with Steve's style, it may be better left as a quarter- or eighth-note (written F sharp), but if you've got a Hornist with the chops, I’ve tried to put the articulations in to imitate a spoken voice.)3 Trombones-- Mainly triadic pads, with two instances of 9ths in the upper bass clef.1 Tenor Sax / Double on Alto Flute The Sax will sound great sotto voce to the Horn. The Flute should be as soft as possible, and ethereal.Solo Violin  (Could be sectional, instead of solo.)Solo Cello (Ibid.)The official video has bongos at the end, but I felt the sparse score worked well. They could easily be improvised, if needed.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.957295 Composed by Bach, Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 51 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #6748247. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.957295). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for tenor sax quintet, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. You can also buy each one individually by checking right at the end of each description of each work.1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. ID: S0.11897712: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. ID: S0.11899813: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. ID: S0.11900334: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. ID: S0.11901655: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. Gareth Jones, University of Calgary, 28 Janaury, 2011Première of the version for violin and 17 instruments: Frédéric Moisan, violin Orchestre 21 cond. Paolo Bellomio, Unveristy of Montreal, Canada, 2 March 2012Preface:In the early 1890s, Debussy composed the opening of a lyrical piece in E major for violin and piano, perhaps as a shorter companion piece for the violin Nocturne he was planning for the Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe. After Debussy’s death in 1918, his second wife Emma often gave away sketch pages to performers or composers as memorials to her beloved husband , and this particular page was given to the Cuban born pianist and composer Joaquin Nin (1879-1949). It came up for sale in the catalogue of the British antiquarian dealer Lisa Cox in 2010 and although it might possibly be an early song for contralto and piano, the more dynamic idea in bar 12 strongly suggests the violin, especially as it begins on an open D string. Moreover, there is no text and in pieces of this length, Debussy usually wrote at least one word in, if only to remind himself where he had got to in any song. So my starting point was a complete 12-bar melody gently undulating in the violin’s lowest register over a sensual accompaniment, rising to a climax in bar 12 and giving me a contrasting idea that I could use as a link between sections and in the cadenza. As the B section (bars 14-26) derives directly from Debussy’s opening theme by metamorphosis, my own additions were restricted to the central section (bars 27-57) - comprising a new scherzando idea (C) and the more lyrical D (bars 36-46). C returns at bar 47, followed by the opening sections in reverse order, so that the Sérénade begins and ends with Debussy’s material and is cast in arch form (ABCDCBA). Robert OrledgeBrighton, 19 June 2019Robert Orledge was born in Bath in 1948 and educated at Clare College, Cambridge, where he gained his doctorate for his study of the composer Charles Kœchlin in 1973. Between 1971 and 1991 He rose from Lecturer to Professor in the Music Department of the University of Liverpool, publishing books on Gabriel Fauré, Claude Debussy, Charles Kœchlin and Erik Satie, as well as numerous articles, editions and reviews. As a historical musicologist, Professor Orledge specialized in the way composers composed, ,and since taking early retirement in 2004, he has concentrated on completing and orchestrating Debussy’s unfinished works, and especially his theatre projects. His completion of Debussy’s opera The Fall of the House of Usher (1908-17) was successfully premiered at the Bregenz Opera Festival in Austria in August 2006 and has since been performed in America, Portugal Germany and Holland, as well as being broadcast throughout Europe. A DVD of the Bregenz premier is available on Capriccio 93517, produced by Phylida Lloyd and conducted by Lawrence Foster. His completion of the Chinese ballet No-ja-li ou Le Palais du Silence (1914) was also premiered in 2006 in Los Angeles and ot.
