Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.858500 Composed by Edward Elgar, Henry Purcell. Arranged by Stephen Bulat. Baroque,Concert,Graduation,Patriotic,Romantic Period. Score. 3 pages. Stephen Bulat Publishing #5302395. Published by Stephen Bulat Publishing (A0.858500). Lead sheet (melody & chords) arrangement of three marches ideal for Graduation or Convocation Ceremonies. This medley seamlessly transitions through three well known marches; Pomp & Circumstance (Elgar). March No. 4 (Elgar) and Trumpet Tune (Purcell) creating a perfect flow for long graduation assemblies. Rather than tediously repeating Pomp & Circumstance over and over again as each graduate marches in, this arrangement allows the performers to progress from one piece to the next while maintaining a constant march rhythm. This arrangement has been gig-tested and has a very easy to follow roadmap with all essential cues and rehearsal markings throughout creating an arrangement that is very easy to follow on the bandstand. Piano,Trombone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1043239 Composed by Edward Elgar. Arranged by Diego Marani. Classical,Instructional,Patriotic,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 18 pages. Diego Marani #647927. Published by Diego Marani (A0.1043239). The best known March of the set, it had its premiere in Liverpool on 19 October 1901, with Elgar conducting the Liverpool Orchestral Society. The Trio contains the tune known as Land of Hope and Glory. In 1902 the tune was re-used, in modified form, for the Land of hope and glory section of his Coronation Ode for King Edward VII. The words were further modified to fit the original tune, and the result has since become a fixture at the Last Night of the Proms, and an English sporting anthem. In the United States, the Trio section Land of Hope and Glory of March No. 1 is often known simply as Pomp and Circumstance or as The Graduation March and is played as the processional tune at virtually all high school and some college graduation ceremonies. It was first played at such a ceremony on 28 June 1905, at Yale University, where the Professor of Music Samuel Sanford had invited his friend Elgar to attend commencement and receive an honorary doctorate of music. Elgar accepted, and Sanford made certain he was the star of the proceedings, engaging the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, the College Choir, the Glee Club, the music faculty members, and New York musicians to perform two parts from Elgar's oratorio The Light of Life and, as the graduates and officials marched out, Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1. Elgar repaid the compliment by dedicating his Introduction and Allegro to Sanford later that year. The tune soon became de rigueur at American graduations, used primarily as a processional at the opening of the ceremony. This arrangement for trombone or euphonium (C and Bb) with piano is suitable for classroom, repertoire and recital.

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1258495 By Ron k Wiggins. By Edward Elgar 1901. Arranged by Ron k Wiggins. Classical,March. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. WigMusic #851750. Published by WigMusic (A0.1258495). From 1901 to 1907 Elgar wrote 4 marches. The trio Land of Hope and Glory from March #1 in D eventually became known in America as Pomp and Circumstance or the Graduation March. Â Here I have arranged that trio for Classical Guitar and put it into the key of G. The melody begins in the bass and moves in a very natural way to the treble. The result is quite nice and not overly difficult.

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.859887 Composed by Edward Elgar. Arranged by Steven Kruse. 20th Century,Graduation,Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 73 pages. String Play for All #3423029. Published by String Play for All (A0.859887). This arrangement of Pomp and Circumstance contains both the opening march and the trio Graduation march. The Graduation March can be performed by itself as a stand-alone piece. The arrangement is designed to be played by a multi-level string ensemble, ranging from beginners through advanced players. The Twinkle violin, viola, and cello parts consist entirely of open strings. The repeated patterns allow the parts to be learned by rote. These parts are optional and may be excluded if beginning students are not involved in the performance. The Advanced Violin part extends to fourth position and involves advanced rhythms and bowings. While the performance is enhanced by using this part, it may be excluded if there are no players in the group on that level. The other string parts remain in first position, with a fourth-finger extension to c on the e string in the first violin part. While the parts include some difficult chromatics and rhythms,
