Published by Michelle Kraak (A0.1012607). Tuba doesn't often get moments of virtuosity, so I wanted to write something that really featured the technical capacity of a truly spectacular tubist. The duet allows each player to up the ante as the piece continues, evoking a sense of healthy competition. It could be played in a recital or as a showpiece in a concert. It would be a great technical piece for students to work up.5 minutes 28 secondsashevilletrumpet.comhttps://www.facebook.com/kraakmichellehttps://www.instagram.com/kraakmichelle/https://www.linkedin.com/in/michelle-kraak-71b0258a/.

Choral Choir,Choral - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1182872 By Stuart Richard Brown. By Stuart Richard Brown. Arranged by Stuart Richard Brown. Christian,Easter,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. 1 pages. Stuart Brown Music #782621. Published by Stuart Brown Music (A0.1182872). The accompanying score and a choral bundle are also available from this website. The composer writes: 'On That Cross' is a powerful reflection on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I came up with the lyrics at around 3am in the morning of 3rd December 2014 sitting at a desk in room 703 of the De Syloia Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. Often I find that my periods of working abroad give me the space to think of things in new ways. This song is a good example of that. One look at the first page of the score of 'On That Cross' is all you need to realize that this is not a case of a choir singing with a piano accompaniment. I put the piano part above the choir in order to dispel that misconception. So if it's not that, what is it? I wanted to demonstrate that it is possible to approach a subject from two completely different points of view, without either point of view being compromised by the other, and yet the result can nevertheless be a beautiful synergy. That is what the pianist and the choir are doing here. Each is meditating upon the cross of Christ, but from two totally unrelated points of view and yet somehow combining in a way that is almost hypnotically beautifully. There is little obvious relationship between the choir's and the piano's music; and yet each is reconciled to the other ... and there's a very good reason why I wanted the music to speak of such reconciliation. In late 2014 people in Iraq were being beheaded, crucified and generally killed in the most brutal and sadistic manner possible. Their only ‘crime’ was to dare to call themselves Christians. You can say what you like but in my book nobody has the right to tell anybody else what they should believe, much less murder them on religious grounds. The thing that incensed me almost to the point of incandescence was that the perpetrators of this unspeakable evil dared to justify their actions by claiming that they were acting on behalf of their god. So in such frame of mind I started to write the lyrics to 'On That Cross'.The first words that came into my mind were “Oh men who dare to call on gods to justify your hatred – of this be sure …†and I wanted to follow that with threats of eternal damnation, torture in hellfire and so on. Except that the words that flowed out of my fingers onto my computer screen were not like that at all. “Of this be sure – I love you still, my cross your salvation from all the sin of man.â€It doesn’t get much more powerful than that. I may be incapable of loving the people of ISIS, ISIL, DAESH or whatever one calls them, but my God isn’t. He created them, he sent his Son to die for them … and he is even now ready to save them, as he is you and me. That’s grace.A small group of us sang this at a Good Friday united service in 2016. We sang it unannounced, at the end of the service, when one would have expected people to start getting up from their seats and leaving the church. Nobody did. Not one single person moved while we sang..

Christian,Easter,Praise and Worship,Religious,Sacred. 12 pages. Stuart Brown Music #782616. Published by Stuart Brown Music (A0.1182868). Re-published specially for Easter 2023, this is a profoundly beautiful piece for 6-part choir and piano. Jazz Combo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.970755 Composed by Mike Strand. Concert,Jazz. Score and parts. 3 pages. Michael M. Strand #5739279. Published by Michael M. Strand (A0.970755). By Mike Strand, ASCAP This is a swing tune lead sheet with lyrics, chord symbols and guitar fret boards, for a jazz ensemble with two voices, or for one voice and a singing instrument, or for two singing instruments. It serves as a good foundation for a variety of arrangements, contra facts, and improvisations. The audio sample is a medium swing accompaniment from iReal Pro, combined with my tunes from Finale PrintMusic. You hear two melodies with the accompaniment -- a treble electric guitar, and a simulated baritone voice (without the words). A rock version of St. Matthew Blue is also for sale on this web site. St. Matthew Blue portrays an unhappy person coping with the COVID 19 pandemic, which started early in the year 2020. It’s not a blues tune, however, so the word blue is in the title without the s. St. Matthew Blue contains unusual harmonies inspired by J. S. Bach’s opening chorus to the St. Matthew Passion. This tune doesn't match the profundity and appeal of Bach's chorus, but the two 16-bar themes of St. Matthew Blue contain some of my favorite harmonic ideas from Bach’s work. This gives a depth to this piece that sets it apart from other swing tunes. Here are the lyrics to St. Matthew Blue:An evil little bug has got me down.I want to drink a mug of beer in town. But now I get supplies brought to my door From many tries to find an online store. Self-pity brings to mind St. Matthew’s tale, How Jesus saved our kind from fiery hell. That my soul is safe may well be true, But I still chafe at fighting this damn flu.

Cello,Flute,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1012601 Composed by Michelle Kraak. Jazz,Standards. 24 pages. Michelle Kraak #6102869. Published by Michelle Kraak (A0.1012601). This piece is a jazzy trio for flute, cello and piano. I wanted to take the opportunity, with an unusual combination of instruments, to write in a style these instruments might not often get to play. The incorporation of jazz in combination with more traditional harmonies I think creates an interesting experience for this small chamber ensemble. It could work nicely for a group of friends looking for a piece to play together, and could be used on a recital. There are a few moments of vocalization, which could be enjoyable for students.3 minutes 7 secondsashevilletrumpet.comhttps://www.facebook.com/kraakmichellehttps://www.instagram.com/kraakmichelle/https://www.linkedin.com/in/michelle-kraak-71b0258a/

Hello! This is my composition named Just Having Fun. It was writen for standard jazz band (Drum, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano), and small brass band (Tenor Sax, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone). Now the idea of this piece is short challenge for musician in different levels, everyone can enjoy. Featuring brass tutti, high note on trumpet, Snarky puppy feels, gospel solos and mysterious feel solos. Feel free to repeate some solo sections to play on different instruments if you want. :)I don't put any midi demo here because I want you to explore the music by yourself, I see no point of listening to contemporary composition on midi. But I understand that some of you may be upset, and for that I appologizeEnjoy your time (with high trumpet note *evil laugh).

Johnson Gao #890537. Published by Johnson Gao (A0.1300859). Anthem of the “All nations will be perished, and the world must uniteâ€Â Colorful Number One Scholar October 3, 2023 The world was originally no any nations. The land was plundered and divided into territories.Colonize first after occupying a frontier; If you had formed a country, you must raise an army.Warfare is a deadly killing weapon,The saints use it when there are no other satisfied ways.Today's world is in ruins. The United States, China, Russia, and European Union compete. Each of them wants to dominate the world. They don't want to be cooperative diligently; They use the dirty tricks instead; They use every possible means for cunning. When the saint raises only one foot high,While the devil has already jumped ten feet tall. They are blind at what the Doomsday is coming,They still love to rob and snatch. They would like to die together; You die and I die, too. What a shame. The human body contains cells. All cells have membranes. With membranes they know how to be selfish.Selfish genes have played an important role in evolution.Love yourself and your country is only a low level of selfishness; Sacrifices oneself and destroys countries are the high level of selfishness: The world must be for the global public welfare. It is really a kind of selfish seeking benefit only for human beings. Looking at the world today, Among Emperors, Empresses, Presidents and Chairmen,No one is worthy of become a future world leader. They only know how to love themselvesAnd their countries’ benefits in a naive way; They dislike to destroy all the countries,They don’t practice the rule for world population’s commonwealth, Knowing not the brilliance patriotism in the past Has becoming the hurdles on the road to globalization. How sad, how sad!Preparing to establish the “World Leadership Education Instituteâ€. It should be put to the top priority.I advise you not to be too innocent,All nations will be perished; This is a historical march.Ah, ha, oh, eh, yah!Home sapiensism needs to be promoted. The world must be unified. ä¸è¦‹æœ«æ—¥è¿‘, é‚„è¦æ¶èˆ‡å¥ªã€‚ 情願åŒæ¸ç›¡; ä½ æ»æˆ‘ä¸æ´»ã€‚ æ¥ç¬‘何ç‰çµ•ã€‚ 人體å«ç´°èƒžã€‚ 細胞皆有膜。 有膜知自ç§ã€‚ 自ç§åŸºå› 在進化ä¸åŠŸå‹³å“著。 å°ç§æ„›å·±æ„›åœ‹; 大ç§æ¨å·±æ»… ç±Œå»ºä¸–ç•Œé ˜è¢–æ•™è‚²å¸é™¢ã€‚ å¯è¬‚當務之急。 勸å›èŽ«å¤ªè ¢, è¬åœ‹å¿…消亡; æ¤ä¹ƒæ·å²è¦å¾‹ã€‚å•Š, 哈, 哦, ä¾, å‘€! 智人主義需æ創; 世界必æ¸ä¸€ã€‚.

Euphonium,Low Brass Quartet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1259405 Composed by Matthew Nunes. 21st Century,Chamber,Contemporary. 33 pages. Matthew Nunes Music #852692. Published by Matthew Nunes Music (A0.1259405). Listen to this piece hereBuyer beware, these are the hardest euphonium parts I've written. Be sure to check out my first euphonium quartet Beacons (2014).No Longer at Ease is a stand-alone euphonium quartet inspired by Chinua Achebe’s 1960 novel of the same name. In Achebe’s novel a young man is sent to University by his village’s elders in the hopes he will return able to guide and protect his people through uncertain and unwanted colonialist developments. However, the man abandons their plans to pursue his own interests and faces the fallout of his actions upon his return home and in the volatile years to come. Reading such an affective work in the final semester of my Masters preparing to return home was timely and I have found the similarities between my life and Achebe’s art blurred. I began writing this work upon returning home to Niceville, Florida and realizing that both myself and the town I call home have changed drastically.     The piece begins with jarring sixteenth-notes derived from a rising arpeggiated-tetrachord. Ceaseless double tonguing, the lead in the fourth euphonium, and unsettling metric shifts combine for unique and frenetic effects. A yearning melody enters amidst this chaos and is a musical spelling of “homeâ€. The return and developments of the frenetic material culminates in a solo statement of this theme. The middle section represents the home of years past and features a uniquely Niceville quote with fragments of the Niceville High School fight song. These fragments make up each independent line and the music culminates in a triumphant victory. However, this victory is cut brief by the cutting sixteenth-note driven material from earlier. The finale is an exciting mockery of the “home†theme with interjections and exploitations of all previous themes. - Matthew NunesNiceville, June 2018.

Published by Slide Ride (A0.784328). 1 Octave Scale Studies in 15+ keys for 4-part ensembles of like or mixed instruments If this is your first exposure to these scale studies, you are in for a treat! Donuts, if you make a mistake! The initial incarnation of these studies were written for trombone quartet and we would play them in the Tennessee Tech Trombone Choir with the challenge that whomever made the first mistake had to buy donuts for the rest of the ensemble. Since then I have brought that version to several clinics and warm up sessions. One time before I got to explain the title, a fellow trombone professor said, Oh, I get it! Don’t step in the holes!I only wish I had thought of that myself... Since we have one of the best donut shops in TN here in Cookeville, treating the studio to sugar coated goodies was always my intent. As with those initial exercises, you can vary these as much as you’d like.· Choose a tempo.· Choose a dynamic.· Choose an articulation/style.One way I like to play these is to have one person be the model, playing the entire scale over and over while everyone else plays the fragmented versions. That helps everyone to keep on track and stay in time. Double or triple up the parts for ensemble cohesion with a larger group.Practice one key, gradually speeding it up to improve fluidity, or choose a variation and take it through all keys, playing version A, B, C, or D then skipping to play the same set in a new key.If you want an additional challenge, play them in different octaves or change the key. Play the F Major set in f minor (all forms), different modes, etc. Players really have to be on their toes to remember if they are playing melodic minor in the ascending or descending form! For jazz players, try swinging them in dorian or mixolydian modes. The variations are endless! If you are using these with transposing instruments, 1) is F Major in Concert Pitch, 2) is Bb Major in Concert pitch, and so on. When you reach a scale that is enharmonic for another key (Db/C#, Gb/F#, or Cb/B), they are presented in both keys for each instrument so Trumpets can play in Eb while the Flutes are playing in C# with similar examples for all keys. All Donut Etudes with the same volume number are compatible so you can play them in mixed quartets or large ensembles with one or more instruments/people on part 1 and a different instrument on part 2, etc. Since the quartets are all identical, conductors/coaches can use any of the scores to tell which part should be playing at what time. Once you have played a scale with one set of parts, everyone can rotate to a different part and play the same scales again!Enjoy!

French Horn Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.784335 Composed by Joshua Hauser. Instructional. Individual part. 38 pages. Slide Ride #5288663. Published by Slide Ride (A0.784335).
