Choral Choir (2-Part) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111194 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Curtis Hanson. Romantic Period,Sacred. Octavo. 5 pages. Curtis Hanson #713472. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.1111194). In this post-pandemic era, demand for octavos for smaller choirs is on the rise. This piece is one of ten Biblical Songs composed by Dvorak, originally composed for low voice and piano, but is here arranged for SB voices. Optional notation for higher or lower voices provides additional harmonic texture. This would be a welcome addition to the library with minimal voices. It would also work as a duet.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1042119 By OneRepublic. By Bjorn Yttling, Brent Kutzle, John Eriksson, Peter Moren, Ryan Tedder, and Tyler Spry. Arranged by Barry McCormick. Film/TV,Pop. Score. 8 pages. B. McCormick #646917. Published by B. McCormick (A0.1042119). About this Piano/Vocal/Guitar arrangement of “I Ain’t Worried†This One Republic hit from the sound track of “Top Gun:Maverik†is a catchy tune to learn. This piano, guitar and vocal arrangement will help you learn the song “I Aint Worried.†The key is in F major and included is the lead sheet so this can be given to another instrumentalist or singer to perform along. The distinct features in the song, the bass and the hook I have kept close to the recording on the track. I have done some slight adjustments for the piano accompaniment to break up and differentiate the different sections otherwise it would be very repetitive. It is a very simple song in essence, a four chord riff and rhythmic motif that breaks for the bridge section. The rhythm isn’t the simplest for the bass part that permeates the song however it is repetitive which means once that is learned you have practically mastered the whole song. There is a lot of back and forward in the music to the chorus which jumps to different parts. I have tried to simplify this by using boxed text to identify each section clearly and indicate when you should jump to each section. Using first, second and third time bars with D.S and coda markings cluttered the music up and made it seem more complicated. So I hope this editorial decision to use boxed text makes it clearer. If you like this arrangement a also have some other arrangements of Christian worship songs and Hymns from Lead sheets to classical guitar arrangements you may also like to check out. About the Arranger, Barry McCormick I am Barry McCormick, I have an MA in music from the University of Glasgow. I am a musician, composer and arranger from Scotland. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1081893 By Francis Osentowski, music Jerry McElveen, text. By Francis Osentowski, DMA University of North Texas. Arranged by Original composition. Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Multicultural,Opera,World. Score. 7 pages. Francis Osentowski #686005. Published by Francis Osentowski (A0.1081893). Eighteen in Italy is song one of a four-part song cycle. 1. Eighteen in Italy 2. Caregiver 3. Colosseum 4. David. The beautiful poems by former Richland College Professor, Jerry McElveen describes a tour of Italy by a group of faculty and families. In a beautiful ballroom in Rome on the last day of the tour, Jerry surprised all of us by reciting poems he had created during the tour. When he began presenting his texts...I immediately knew those words were perfect for a musical setting! Our pieces have been performed often throughout the DFW area. Marsha Anderson is a North Lake College faculty member who was an opera singer in Italy for decades and later taught a student credit trip to Italy. You will her perform at University of Texas Arlington with me at the piano. I now think each of the songs should slow down a few clicks to breath more for the singer. The talented young soprano, Erin Alcorn performed the cycle more recently and both performer and my music received excellent reviews from the Dallas Morning News music critic, Scott Cantrell. Several performers have told me that the songs are very comfortable to perform, and the music is suitable for young singers. All four songs are available to purchase at this site.

Beethovens Wig Sing Along Piano Classics

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.928572 Composed by Beethoven's Wig, Richard Perlmutter. Children,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 65 pages. Beethoven's Wig, Inc. #6384013. Published by Beethoven's Wig, Inc. (A0.928572). Inspired and wildly imaginative, Beethoven's Wig Sing Along Piano Classics are zany, stick-in-your-head lyrics set to masterpieces by great composers. The lyrics are filled with fact and fancy about the composers and their music opening a door to serious music that's fun. It’s fun to play and sing along! The music for each piano piece is presented as it was originally written by the composer. As a bonus, there is an appendix with pieces transposed into the keys used on Beethoven’s Wig recordings. This allows pianists to play and sing along with the recorded tracks.GREAT FOR PIANO STUDENTS AND TEACHERSPiano teachers often tell their students they should sing the instrumental pieces they play to improve their performance. This helps students to interpret pieces lyrically. The witty and delightful lyrics in this collection are an entertaining means to that end. They are great to sing along with when playing, and are educational and fun!PRAISE FOR BEETHOVEN'S WIGClassical music was never supposed to be this much fun. Was it?- Baltimore Sun Instrumental music tends not to charm children...and a classical piece like Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Not a good bet. But what if that work had words? - New York TimesThe songs are funny... The lyrics are hummable mnemonics, each imparting information about the work or the composer.- Washington PostAn irreverent, witty approach to music appreciation... a laugh out loud that pretty much guarantees listeners will forevermore recognize the classics.-Los Angeles TimesABOUT BEETHOVEN'S WIGBeethoven's Wig is the creation of Richard Perlmutter, who is the lyricist, lead singer and producer of the group's five albums. Beethoven's Wig has toured North America and performed at arts centers and with symphony orchestras. The group's recordings have won 50 awards including including four GRAMMY Nominations. They have also won Parent's Choice Awards, Teacher's Choice Awards and been designated as Notable Recordings by the American Library Association. Piano Solo - Advanced - Digital Download Composed by Isadar. Contemporary Classical, Jazz, Recital, Americana, New Age. Sheet Music Single. 11 pages. Published by Mainya Music Publishing (BMI)
Contains:<br> "En Face Du Miroir (Facing The Mirror)"<br> - taken from the Isadar solo piano complete collection, "Red" (also available on SMP)<br> <br> Sounds like: Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Vince Guaraldi, Liz Story, George Winston, early Windham Hill solo piano artists<br> <br> Transcribed by: David Shenton ( https://www.shentonmusic.com/ ) verbatim to the sound recording<br> <br> Album & Songbook Review by: Kathy Parsons<br> <br> Red is pianist/composer Isadar’s genre-defying tenth solo piano album and seventeenth independent release from the past twenty years. It is also the third installment in a trilogy of solo piano albums released in the past year - Reconstructed, a Will Ackerman-produced anthology of some of Isadar’s best piano pieces; O Christmas, Isadar’s second piano Christmas album; and now Red, a bittersweet love-themed album that took seven years to produce and that consists of the first new original solo piano material Isadar has released in more than ten years.<br> <br> I have been reviewing and thoroughly enjoying Isadar’s releases since his second piano album, 1999’s Active Imagination, which still stands as one of my favorite recordings. Even though I have been a big fan for many years, I was still blown away by Isadar’s live performance in my house concert series in July 2010. The man has magic fingers and an extraordinary piano touch that are perfectly suited to express his imaginative, distinctive, and emotionally powerful music.<br> <br> Isadar is also a singer/songwriter and an electronic musician who creates the music videos for much of his music, dramatizing the stories that inspired the songs. I will always be partial to Isadar’s piano albums because his voice and vision are unique, incorporating jazz, new age, pop, and classical stylings into a musical language all his own.<br> <br> Red opens with “Broken Valentine,” a free-flowing expression of heartbreak and the broad range of emotions that go with it, alternating between grief and confusion then shifting to perhaps anger and resignation - a great beginning. The title track conveys the freedom of an improvisation while weaving together a variety of upbeat themes. “The Man Who Broke My Heart” is energetic and in constant swirling motion - also very free and from deep within. “The Stairwell” is darker and much more mysterious, overflowing with Isadar’s intriguing accented rhythms and picturesque compositional style. My favorite track is the almost nine-minute “Letting Go,” a piece that intertwines a series of musical vignettes into a powerful, colorful musical collage. I love the way Isadar seamlessly goes from flowing and smooth to a bouncy jazz style to high drama without missing a beat. Great stuff! “En Face Du Miroir (Facing the Mirror)” is much lighter, with fingers dancing nimbly around the piano keyboard. The album closes with “Blood ... Thicker Than Water,” again a combination of changing themes that could well be a musical family portrait - different personalities working separately and as a unit, bound together by the unseen ties that keep families together through thick and thin.<br> <br> Isadar has created another piano masterpiece that should be more widely heard than his previous releases due to the success of Reconstructed. I hope so, anyway! Red is available from isadar.com, Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby. Very highly recommended!<br> <br> Isadar’s Red: Solo Piano Sheet Music Collection is a note-for-note transcription of all seven pieces from Isadar’s 2013 CD/download release by the same name. The music was transcribed by David Shenton (shentonmusic.com) with clear, concise notation that includes dynamics, pedaling and metronome settings.<br> <br> Isadar is an amazing pianist with a style all his own, so this isn’t a book that most pianists will be able to just sit down and play. It will take some work and attention to detail to get this music right, but it will be well worth the effort. Having the recording for handy reference would be a big help.<br> <br> Rhythms are often complex and syncopated, but are usually repeated within each piece, so once you have them, the rest will follow fairly easily. There are only a few chords with a reach of more than an octave and none of the key signatures are terribly difficult. The layout and spacing of the music is excellent, and the paper stock is a bright white 9”x12” format with a stapled binding.<br> <br> If you enjoy listening to Isadar’s music, I’m sure you will enjoy playing it, too! This songbook is available from isadar.com. Recommended!<br> <br> The songs with their key signatures and the number of pages is listed below:<br> <br> Broken Valentine - C minor (3 flats) - 4 pages<br> Red - A minor (0 sharps or flats) - 5 pages<br> The Man Who Broke My Heart - A minor - 6 pages<br> The Stairwell - F# minor (3 sharps) - 7 pages<br> Letting Go - F minor (4 flats) / C minor (3 flats) - 8 pages<br> En Face Du Miroir (Facing the Mirror) - Ab (4 flats) / F minor/ Bb minor (5 flats) / Db (5 flats) - 7 pages<br> Blood ... Thicker Than Water - A Minor/ C (0) / F (1 flat) - 7 pages<br> <br> Isadar is an artist on both Enlightened Piano Radio & Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, the latter featuring some of today's biggest names in solo piano music, including Ludovico Einaudi, David Nevue, Brian Crain, Kevin Kern, Robin Spielberg, Michele McLaughlin, Philip Wesley and over 300 more...<br> <br> Also available as sheet music in physical songbooks, digital downloads, as well as software for Yamaha Disklavier player-pianos.<br> <br> For more information, visit his website at: http://www.isadar.com

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1270160 By Arlo Guthrie. By Arlo Guthrie. Arranged by Craig Hanson. A Cappella,Comedy,Folk. Octavo. 6 pages. Edition Craig Hanson #862589. Published by Edition Craig Hanson (A0.1270160). For TTBB chorus a cappella and solo voice. As performed by Arlo Guthrie.Wanna hear something? You know that Indians never ate clams. They didn't have linguini! And so what happened was that clams was allowed to grow unmolested in the coastal waters of America for millions of years. And they got big, and I ain't talking about clams in general, I'm talking about each clam! Individually. I mean each one was a couple of million years old or older. So imagine they could have got bigger than this whole room. And when they get that big, God gives them little feet so that they could walk around easier. And when they get feet, they get dangerous. I'm talking about real dangerous. I ain't talking about sitting under the water waiting for you. I'm talking about coming after you.Imagine being on one of them boats coming over to discover America, like Columbus or something, standing there at night on watch, everyone else is either drunk or asleep. And you're watching for America and the boat's going up and down. And you don't like it anyhow but you gotta stand there and watch, for what? Only he knows, and he ain't watching. You hear the waves lapping against the side of the ship. The moon is going behind the clouds. You hear the pitter patter of little footprints on deck. ‘Is that you kids?’ It ain't! My god! It's this humongous, giant clam!Imagine those little feet coming on deck. A clam twice the size of the ship. Feet first. You're standing there shivering with fear, you grab one of these. This is a belaying pin. They used to have these stuck in the holes all around the ship… You probably didn't know what this is for; you probably had an idea, but you were wrong. They used to have these stuck in the holes all along the sides of the ship, everywhere. You wouldn't know what this is for unless you was that guy that night.I mean, you'd grab this out of the hole, run on over there, bam bam on them little feet! Back into the ocean would go a hurt, but not defeated, humongous, giant clam. Ready to strike again when opportunity was better. You know not even the coastal villages was safe from them big clams. You know them big clams had an inland range of about 15 miles. Think of that. I mean our early pioneers and the settlers built little houses all up and down the coast you know. A little inland and stuff like that and they didn't have houses like we got now, with bathrooms and stuff. They built little privies out back. And late at night, maybe a kid would have to go, and he'd go stomping out there in the moonlight. And all they'd hear for miles around...(loud clap/belch).... One less kid for America. One more smiling, smurking, humongous, giant clam.So Americans built forts. Them forts --you know—them pictures of them forts with the wooden points all around. You probably thought them points was for Indians but that's stupid! 'Cause Indians know about doors. But clams didn't. Even if a clam knew about a door, so what? A clam couldn't fit in a door. I mean, he'd come stomping up to a fort at night, put them feet on them points, jump back crying, tears coming out of them everywhere. But Americans couldn't live in forts forever. You couldn't just build one big fort around America. How would you go to the beach? So what they did was they formed groups of people. I mean they had groups of people all up and down the coast form these little alliances. Like up North it was call the Clamshell Alliance. And farther down South it was called the Catfish Alliance. They had these Alliances all up and down the coast defending themselves against these threatening monsters. These humongous giant clams. Andt hey'd go out there, if there was maybe fifteen of them they'd be singing songs in fifteen part harmony. And when one part disappeared, that's how they knew where the clam would be.Which is why Americans only sing in four part harmony to this very day. That proved to be too dangerous. See, what they did was they'd be singing these songs called Clam Chanties, and they'd have these big spears called clampoons. And they'd be walking up and down the beach and the method they eventually devised where they'd have this guy, the most strongest heavy duty true blue American, courageous type dude they could find and they'd have him out there walking up and down the beach by himself with other chicken dudes hiding behind the sand dunes somewhere. He'd be singing the verses. They'd be singing the chorus, and clams would hear 'em. And clams hate music. So clams would come out of the water and they'd come after this one guy. And all you'd see pretty soon was flying all over the sand flying up and down the beach manmanclamclammanmanclam manclamclamman up and down the beach going this way and that way up the hills in the water out of the water behind the trees everywhere. Finally the man would jump over a big sand dune, roll over the side, the clam would come over the dune, fall in the hole and fourteen guys would come out there and stab the shit out of him with their clampoons. That's the way it was. That was one way to deal with them. The other way was to weld two clams together. [I don't believe it. I'm losing it. Hey. What can you do. Another night shot to hell.] Hey, this was serious back then. This was very serious. I mean these songs now are just piddly folk songs. But back then these songs were controversial. These was radical, almost revolutionary songs. Because times was different and clams was a threat to America. That's right. So we want to sing this song tonight about the one last... You see what they did was there was one man, he was one of these men, his name will always be remembered, his name was Reuben Clamzo, and he was one of the last great clam men there ever was. He stuck the last clam stab. The last clampoon into the last clam that was ever seen on this continent. Knowing he would be out of work in an hour. He did it anyway so that you and me could go to the beach in relative safety. That's right. Made America safe for the likes of you and me. And so we sing this song in his memory. He went into whaling like most of them guys did and he got out of that, when he died. You know, clams was much more dangerous than whales. Clams can run in the water, on the water or on the ground, and they are so big sometimes that they can jump and they can spread their kinda shells and kinda almost fly like one of them flying squirrels. You could be standing there thinking that your perfectly safe and all of a sudden whop.... That's true... And so this is the song of this guy by the name of Reuben Clamzo and the song takes place right after he stabbed this clam and the clam was, going through this kinda death dance over on the side somewhere. The song starts there and he goes into whaling and takes you through the next...I sing the part of the guy on the beach by himself. I go like this: Poor old Reuben Clamzo and you go Clamzo Boys Clamzo. That's the part of the fourteen chicken dudes over on the other side. That's what they used to sing. They'd be calling these clams out of the water. Like taunting them making fun of them. Clams would get real mad and come out. Here we go. I want you to sing it in case you ever have an occasion to join such an alliance. You know some of these alliances are still around. Still defending America against things like them clams. If you ever wants to join one, now you have some historic background. So you know where these guys are coming from. It's not just some 60's movement or something, these things go back a long time.Notice the distinction you're going to have to make now between the first and easy Clamzo Boys Clamzo and the more complicated Clamzo Me Boys Clamzo. Stay serious! Folk songs are serious. That's what Pete Seeger told me. Arlo I only want to tell you one thing... Folk songs are serious. I said right. Let's do it in C for Clam...Iet's do it in B... For boy that's a big clam... Iet' s do it in G for Gee, I hope that big clam don't see me. Let's do it in F... For …he sees me. Let's do it back in A...for a clam is coming. Better get this song done quick. The Story of Reuben Clamzo and His Strange Daughter in the Key of A.

High voice and piano - Moderately Difficult - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8454-2E Composed by David Conte. Secular, 21st century. Instrument part. 6 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8454-2E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8454-2E). English.American Death Ballads was composed especially for tenor Brian Thorsett. We have been frequent collaborators since 2011, when he premiered the complete set of my Three Settings of W. B. Yeats for string quartet and tenor. At his urging, I transcribed and published my Three Poems of Christina Rossetti (originally for medium voice) for high voice, which he premiered at the San Francisco Conservatory in 2014. American Death Ballads was premiered by him at the San Francisco Conservatory, November 1, 2015, with pianist John Churchwell, and at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Conference in Chicago, July 10, 2016, with pianist Warren Jones. The choice of texts for my American Death Ballads was inspired partly by Copland’s Old American Songs, which I deeply admire, but more by my dear friend and colleague the late Conrad Susa’s Two Murder Ballads. The ingenuity of Susa’s accompaniments for his ballads in imagining anew the original source material owes a great deal to Copland’s accompaniment for his songs. Though the content of my songs is completely original and not based on preexisting melodies, I have tried to expand on this further, as the texts are much longer, and go through many different moods and characters. The four texts I chose include stories about murder, death, and dying. Though two of the texts were written in England, they traveled to the colonies almost immediately. The subjects of the texts had spent time in America, and their stories were well known to Americans.Wicked Polly is a cautionary tale. Polly has lived a dissolute and immoral life, saying, 'I'll turn to God when I grow old.' Suddenly taken ill, she realizes that it is too late to repent. She dies in agony and is presumably sent to hell; young people are advised to heed. My musical setting is stately and preacherly in character for the narrator; for Polly it becomes pleading and remorseful. The Unquiet Grave was brought to the attention of Alan Lomax, the great American field collector of folk music, by English folk singer Shirley Collins. The text is taken from an English folk song dating from 1400. In The Unquiet Grave, a young man mourns his dead lover too fervently and prevents her from obtaining peace. The dead woman complains that his weeping is keeping her from peaceful rest. He begs a kiss; she tells him it would kill him. When he persists, wanting to join her in death, she explains that once they were both dead their hearts would simply decay, and that he should enjoy life while he has it. My setting is in a flowing Andante with a rocking accompaniment. Three voices are delineated here: the narrator, the mournful lover, and the dead lover speaking from the grave. The Dying Californian first appeared in the New England Diadem in 1854. Its lyrics are based on a letter from a New Englander’s sailor to his brother who is dying at sea while on the way to California to seek his fortune in the California gold fields. He implores his brother to impart his message to his father, mother, wife, and children. My setting opens with the singer alone in a moderate dirge tempo, then, joined by the piano, moves through many tonalities and moods before ending with supreme confidence as the speaker 'gained a port called Heaven/Where the gold will never rust.'Captain Kidd was a Scottish sailor who was tried and executed for piracy and murder in 1701. The American connection to this ballad is that Kidd escaped to America and for a time lived in New York and Boston, though he was a wanted criminal by the British authorities and was extradited to Britain, where he was hung at 'Executioner’s Dock.' The lyric was printed in Britain in 1701, traveling to the colonies almost immediately. Though the didactic tone of the text is similar to Wicked Polly, it expresses no regret until the final lines: 'Take warning now by me, and shun bad company, / Lest you come to hell with me, for I must die.' My setting is fast and spirited, expressing the confidence of a man who lived life as he wanted. -David Conte.

The reborn willow tree arrives on a river bank in Oxford and experiences all the special celebrations that May Morning brings: The choir, the bells, the singing and the folk dancing. Approximately 4 minutes and a delightful piece to play.Goodness me! Where am I now? The sun is just rising and there is a slight mist in the air. I must be by a river. There are strange boats floating by, propelled by long poles. All on board are laughing, drinking and singing at the tops of their voices. I see a tall tower and on the top are small boys dressed in strange white dresses. They are singing wonderful songs. .Now bells are ringing and I hear cheering and music that keeps going all day long until tiredness slowly brings the fun to an end. The moon is rising and the world sleeps again. .I like my new home. Goodnight!

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1040262 Composed by Mac Montgomery, Mitch Wong, and Ryan Ellis. Arranged by Barry McCormick. Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score. 12 pages. B. McCormick #645041. Published by B. McCormick (A0.1040262). About this Piano/Vocal/Guitar arrangement of “Heart of the Father†This arrangement containing a simple piano accompaniment and melody with chords of Heart of the Father by Ryan Ellis was created with the focus of ease of use in a Church setting for this modern song of worship. In the popular recording of this song Ellis uses his musicianship to change the melody slightly each verse as well as include expressive and elaborate vocal runs in numerous places through out the song. My aim was to write the melody omitting these vocal flourishes which are not as suitable for a corporate worship setting. With my many years of experience as church musician, worship leader and MD, I shaped this arrangement in a way to convey all necessary information for a modern church worship band with ease. Firstly the main Score simply has the melody and piano accompaniment. Secondly the parts are split up so the melody and accompaniment can be shared separately. The Lead, melody part, includes the chords so this part acts as a lead sheet which can be used for guitarists. I have also included the melody for Bb instruments also for bands which may have them. I have used repeats in a optimised way so that the music for each part takes up no more than 2 pages. All musicians know the frustrating limitations of music stands to hold much more than that! If you like this arrangement a also have some other arrangements of Christian worship songs and Hymns from Lead sheets to classical guitar arrangements you may also like to check out. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1381714 By Stacey Plays Hymns. By Stacey Plays Hymns. Arranged by Anastace. Christian,Historic,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Score. 5 pages. Anastace #966349. Published by Anastace (A0.1381714). Here is the full piano vocal arrangement of The Harvest of the Earthâ€, as heard on my YouTube channel and requsted by listeners. Originally titled “See How Brown Autumn Spreads the Fieldsâ€, this song is so rare that I couldn’t find any music for it online, and therefore wrote a new melody and accompaniment for it that captures the the solemnity and anguish of the lyrics. It’s one of the songs of harvest off of my album entitled “Hymns of Autumnâ€, but doesn’t talk about harvest in the traditional sense we normally sing about these days. Not many talk about the judgement of God in today’s church, and this hymn will send chills down the spine of the most devout believer as we realize the full spectrum of God's character, including His wrath and power on Judgement Day. I found this in an old hymnal that was so old that the “Sâ€s were still written as “Fâ€s, and I had to squint to read it while learning to sing for this recording. I hope this ancient and powerful hymn finds a place to minister to today's church and believers around the world, perhaps after a sermon on God’s judgement, or for a Lent or Advent service about repentance and turning to God, both individually and as a nation. This version is in B Minor to match the original recording, and includes the full piano accompaniment as played in the recording. Also available, by searching Stacey Plays Hymns and the song title on this site is a lead sheet version for those who prefer to play off a chart. For other formats including large print, or extended choral harmony versions, please write me at staceyplayshymns@gmail.com and I'll be glad to make them especially for you. Purchase includes a free license for one church service with under 300 people, with proper attribution and credit in any printed or online materials. For a license to use this work on a larger scale, please contact me for permission and other usage details including lyrics formatted for printing in church bulletins or for powerpoint. Please let me know if there is any other way I can serve you as a congregation or fellow music/choir director as I endeavour to write several new choral anthems per year, along with my other recording work.Thank you for supporting modern hymnwriters and musicians!

Tuba, Euphonium, Tuba Quintet - Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Glenn Miller. Arranged by Keith Terrett. 20th Century, Jazz, Swing, Old-time. Score, Set of Parts. 8 pages. Published by Music for all Occasions
Moonlight Serenade" arranged here for Tuba Quintet, is an American popular song composed by Glenn Miller with subsequent lyrics by Mitchell Parish. It was an immediate phenomenon when first released in May 1939 as an instrumental arrangement and was adopted as Miller’s signature tune. In 1991, Miller’s recording of "Moonlight Serenade" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.<br> <br> The song, recorded on April 4, 1939 on RCA Bluebird, was a Top Ten hit on the U.S. pop charts in 1939, reaching number three on the Billboard charts, where it stayed for fifteen weeks. It was the number 5 top pop hit of 1939 in the Billboard year-end tally. Glenn Miller had five records in the top 20 songs of 1939 on Billboard′s list.<br> <br> In the UK, "Moonlight Serenade" was released as the A-side of a 78 on His Master’s Voice, with "American Patrol" as the B-side. The recording reached number twelve in the UK in March 1954, staying on the chart for one week. In a medley with "Little Brown Jug" and "In the Mood", "Moonlight Serenade" reached number thirteen on the UK charts in January 1976, in a chart run of eight weeks.<br> <br> The recording was also issued as a V-Disc, No. 39A, in November 1943.<br> <br> The recording used a clarinet-led saxophone section, which is widely considered[citation needed] the classic Glenn Miller style. Miller studied the Schillinger technique with Joseph Schillinger, who is credited with helping Miller create the "Miller sound", and under whose tutelage he himself composed "Moonlight Serenade".<br> <br> The song evolved from a 1935 version entitled "Now I Lay Me Down to Weep", with music by Glenn Miller and lyrics by Eddie Heyman to a version called "Gone with the Dawn" with lyrics by George Simon, and "The Wind in the Trees" with lyrics by Mitchell Parish. In his biography of Glenn Miller, George T. Simon recounted how vocalist Al Bowlly of the Ray Noble Orchestra sang him the Eddie Heyman lyrics to the Glenn Miller music of "Now I Lay Me Down to Weep" in 1935. The Noble Orchestra never recorded the song. Finally it ended up as "Moonlight Serenade" because Robbins Music bought the music and learned that Miller was recording a cover of "Sunrise Serenade", a Frankie Carle associated song, for RCA Victor. They thought "Moonlight" would be a natural association for "Sunrise".<br> <br> "Now I Lay Me Down to Weep" was composed in 1935 with lyrics by Eddie Heyman and music by Glenn Miller. After "Moonlight Serenade", originally released solely as an instrumental, became a smash hit in 1939, Mitchell Parish wrote new lyrics for the music under that title.<br> <br> A notable vocal version can be found on Frank Sinatra’s Moonlight Sinatra released in 1965, which also contains "Moon Love", "Moonlight Becomes You", and "Oh, You Crazy Moon", which were recorded by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra. "Moonlight Serenade" can also be found on Nothing But the Best, a 2008 Frank Sinatra greatest hits compilation by Reprise, on My Way: The Best of Frank Sinatra from 1997 by Warner Bros., and the Frank Sinatra compilation Greatest Love Songs from 2002. Frank Sinatra also released the song as part of an 7" EP 33RPM single in 1966, Reprise SR1018. The song also appeared on the 2015 centennial collection Ultimate Sinatra. In 1939, Count Basie and His Orchestra recorded one of the earliest versions to feature the lyrics added by Mitchell Parish which was released as a 78 single, Vocalion 5036.<br> <br> "Moonlight Serenade" has been covered by Barry Manilow, Carly Simon, The Airmen of Note of the U.S. Air Force with Air Force Strings, Charlie Haden, Marc Reift, Chet Baker with The Mariachi Brass in 1966, Santo and Johnny, Thelma Houston, Carol Burnett, Toots Thielemans, Deodato, who reached number 18 on the Billboard Easy Listening Chart, Count Basie and his Orchestra with vocals by Helen Humes in 1939, Benny Goodman and his Orchestra, Cab Calloway, The Modernaires, Gene Krupa and his Orchestra, Freddy Martin and his Orchestra, Bert Kaempfert, Ray Conniff, Mina, Dick Todd on RCA Bluebird, Geoff Love and His Orchestra, Lloyd Gregory on solo guitar, Dick Hyman, Maxwell Davis and his Orchestra, Tony Evans, Los Indios Tabajaras, David Rose, Richard Himber, Fi Dells Quartet, Waikikis, The Universal-International Orchestra conducted by Joseph Gershenson, Oleg Lundstrom, Charlie Byrd, Taco, Alix Combelle, Richard Vaughn, Lisa Ono, Eddie Maynard, Simone Kopmajer, Hamburg Philharmonia, Frankie Capp, Dave, Robert Banks Trio, Karel Vlach, Transatlantic Swing Band, the Frankie Condon Orchestra, The Romantic Strings, Paul Mauriat, Tommy Leonetti, Johnny Desmond, the Boston Pops under Arthur Fiedler, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart, Charlie Calello Orchestra, J.P. Can any other record match ’Moonlight Serenade’ for its ability to induce a Pavlovian slobber in so many for so long?" (The New Yorker, May 24, 2004).<br> <br> "Moonlight Serenade" released as V-Disc 39A, VP 75, Theme Song, by the U.S. War Department in November 1943. Flome the Gnome #3684399. Published by Flome the Gnome (A0.993321). Praise the Lord is a more upbeat song that helps you recall what Jesus has done while at the same time allowing you to sing mightily - Praise the Lord. This is the unedited version in that it has five verses whereas the shorter version has four verses. Both versions include the Praise the Lord chorus. If you're looking for a new song that will encourage your congregation to stand up and praise the Lord, then please consider adding this song to your collection.I pray that this song nourishes your soul, your family, and/or your congregation. Please let others know about my songs; say a prayer for me, my family, and ministry; and consider supporting my ministry financially so that I might have more time to write additional songs and/or serve the Lord. This song would be good for all churches but is probably best suited for those that enjoy more traditional hymns.I can be found online at my website: www.flomethegnome.com and on facebook. Her earliest memory was watching her mother play classical piano. She began piano lessons at the age of 8, and started composing shortly thereafter. Stevens approaches her compositions as an artist. She paints musical portraits of the things that bring meaning to life: relationship to living things, emotional healing, discovering what matters most and honoring that as best we are able. Stevens' beautiful piano-based music aligns one with their own heart. Although some of her music can be described as New Age, her roots are heavily based in classical and jazz. Her study of classical composition makes her music more complex than some New Age music. Her music has been likened to the impressionistic composers such as Claude Debussy. Sydney's formal training is also reflected in her ability to compose for orchestral instruments. Her latest release, Cycles of Life, was solely recorded and produced by Sydney, programming all of the virtual instruments.Sydney has a great love for jazz. Keith Jarrett was an influence on her with his innovative and improvisational piano recordings and performances. She was particularly impressed with the freedom of style he portrayed in his performances. Bill Evans was something Sydney heard played as a young child. Where her mother was a classical pianist, her father was a jazz pianist. Perhaps that's why some of Sydney’s music can be described as a crossover between classical and jazz--remnants from those early years. Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins were big inspirations for Sydney's songwriting. She was especially drawn to the deeply emotional lyrics in many of their songs.Cycles of Life, the title track from Sydney's current release, was composed for her late step dad. The song is about the cycle of birth and death: Cycles of life go on, yet we carry all that we've known and loved through the ages. Time, another track on Sydney's current release, is a song about how time passes more quickly when we are doing something we cherish. Brian's Song, inspired by the loss of her father-in-law, reflects: All that really matters is the way we fill our heart, and the ways that it has loved. Dawn, a track from Sydney's album Seasons, is a beautiful piano-based instrumental with light string background. It portrays that very peaceful hour as the sun slowly lights up the world -- the hour of dawn.Sydney is a poet. She sees the world through a heart that feels the joy and sorrow of the world and those she meets. Her gift is the ability to transfer that emotion into music. Listening to her music is like taking a journey. She delves into depths of emotion, often taking the listener to places that can be difficult to go without the comfort of a beautiful song to accompany them.In addition to being a prolific composer, Stevens runs a b.
