Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1486675 By Foo Fighters. By David Grohl. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Contemporary,Pop,Rock. Chords/Lyrics. 2 pages. Brian Streckfus #1063740. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1486675). Key: B minorPages: 2The aim of this version was not historical accuracy. The aim was to create a great solo unplugged coffee-house version with no page turns, though it could still be really useful for any situation. The melody is left intact, some liberties with the harmonies were taken when there is singing. I'm very proud and happy with how it turned out, sometimes you get lucky and the sections fall perfectly into place (which is suprising since there are some odd 3 measure phrases in here). Features:1. Beginner friendly. The chords are so accurate to what the sheet music is doing, that you don't even really need to read sheet music to play this!2. Harmonies that take difficulty, style, voice leading, and melody into consideration3. Condensed lead sheet version that fits on 2 pages to avoid a page turn; yet it is packed with details and naunces.4. Beautifully engraved sections that visually make sense on the page.Tips:1. Measures 8-16 I named that chords as if both guitars were taken into consideration. I'm guilty of sometimes saying, Oh it's just a rock song with power chords, but then you look into the details, and the chords are actually quite jazzy.2. Maybe She sang needs a fermata?3. If a song is in B minor and never changes key, fret 1 will never happens! Be in position 2 for this song! That's why I didn't put fingerings in, they would have been as helpful as confusing.4. Maybe it's a given, but I recommend forcing melody notes on to the chord in one way or another. Sometimes I go on spurts of notating many complex chords to account for the melody, other times I just show one chord per measure but kind of assume that you'll make the guitar work more fancy with the melody notes. Maybe this is overthinking the arrangement, but there is great voicings I'm doing that I want to get across, but sometimes I won't do it because the score will get too busy looking. Just food for thought, depends on your agenda I suppose.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1518761 By Dean Martin. By Irving Taylor and Ken Lane. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Pop,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #1092885. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1518761). Everybody Loves Somebody is a song written in 1947 by Irving Taylor and pianist Ken Lane, and made famous by Dean Martin who recorded and released his version in 1964. It became his signature song.Dean told his son, I'm gonna knock your pallies off the charts,[ and on August 15, 1964 he did just that: Everybody Loves Somebody knocked The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night off the No. 1 slot on Billboard, going straight up to the top of both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Pop-Standard Singles chart, the latter for eight weeks. Lyrics: Everybody loves somebody sometime Everybody falls in love somehow Something in your kiss just told me My sometime is now Everybody finds somebody someplaceThere's no telling where love may appear Something in my heart keeps saying My someplace is here If I had it in my power I'd arrange for every girl to have your charms Then every minute, every hour Every boy would find what I found in your armsEverybody loves somebody sometime And although my dream was overdueYour love made it well worth waitingFor someone like you If I had it in my powerI would arrange for every girl to have your charms Then every minute, every hour Every boy would find what I found in your arms Everybody loves somebody sometime And although my dream was overdue Your love made it well worth waiting For someone like you.

What Would Nina Simone Say? For Soprano Sax & Organ (9'50")

Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Organ,Soprano Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.981222 Composed by Judith Cloud. Contemporary. Score and parts. 24 pages. Judith Cloud #6690537. Published by Judith Cloud (A0.981222). What Would Nina Simone Say? For Soprano Sax and Organ (9'50)Program NotesI became interested in Nina Simone in the spring of 2018. She was born Eunice Waymon in Tryon, North Carolina, my own hometown. I knew little about her while I was growing up. Later I heard she was an activist and the sentiment around town I observed was that there was far from a feeling of pride about who Nina Simone was. If that really was the case (and I have no proof of it) there was a dramatic change with the creation of The Nina Simone Project in 2006. I was still ignorant of this, having lived in Arizona for most of my adult life. But researching Simone led me to an immense feeling of pride for my hometown when I read about the support she had from the white community in the 1940’s. Without that encouragement and financial support, as well as artistic support from a local piano teacher, Muriel Mazzanovich, Mrs. Mazzy, as she was called and who Nina treasured and respected all of her life, Nina Simone would never have reached the world with her unique prodigious musical talent. She was a diva by all counts and her original compositions reflect a balance of words with music that is far superior to what her contemporaries were creating. A bronze sculpture of her by Zenos Frudakis now stands on Main Street in Tryon. How can you be an artist and not reflect the times? Simone asked in an interview. That to me is the definition of an artist. The feminist writer Germaine Greer declared Every generation has to discover Nina Simone. She is evidence that female genius is real. What would Nina Simone say today? I think she’d be mad as hell and screaming about revolution, probably still advocating for the use of violence. I’ve used some of Simone’s energetic and compelling motives in this composition. It is my own tribute to her genius and to how she gave to the world so much even though she was plagued with agonizing physical and mental ailments. That suffering seems to me an undercurrent in each video I have watched of her concerts. What I would give to have been in her presence for one of those concerts! She embodied music as an art form, revering her musical teachers, Bach, especially. That she never achieved her main goal of becoming the first female African-American classical pianist of world stature is perhaps not so sad when you think of how many more people she moved with her talent expressed in jazz and folk popular idioms. But she was prone to violence and many people, even those closest to her, were often fearful of her rage. She was misunderstood for so many years and it was only in the last two decades of her life that her moods were somewhat controlled through use of prescription drugs. The musical life that began for Eunice Waymon when she was seven years old playing the piano and organ for services at St. Luke’s C.M.E. Church (where her mother was the preacher) in Tryon, N.C. traversed many cities in many countries. She died at the age of 70 in 2003 in Carry-le-Rouet, France.

Published by Justin Goh (A0.878811). SATB ChoirA cappellaSample recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwXiFG5YRBU--The idea of arranging this piece first came to me when I attended a Folksong Arrangement class. I was tasked to think about what songs my grandparents sang to me. Que Sera, Sera, although not a folksong, was the first that came to mind. My maternal grandmother had sung this to me in my younger days. Not long after, my grandmother announced that she intended to sell her house - the very house that I spent most of my growing-up years in. This was followed by many weeks of packing her belongings, uncovering forgotten treasures, and recalling the days of my childhood. Quite aptly, arranging this piece gave me an avenue to express my sentimental thoughts, and say goodbye to an old house filled with so many memories. I hope that both the performer and the listener can be transported back in time, even if just for a few minutes, to reminisce the happier and more carefree days of our lives. Furthermore, let us count our blessings in the present, as the future’s not ours to see. Que Sera, Sera. What will be, will be. --If you have questions or comments, I'm most happy to hear from you at justingohcj@gmail.com

C Instrument - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.842476 By The Fray. By Isaac Slade and Joseph King. Arranged by Ben Clapton. Rock. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 3 pages. Ben Clapton #4597303. Published by Ben Clapton (A0.842476). You Found Me was released by American rock band The Fray in 2008. It was their third single to sell 2 million downloads in the US, and marked The Fray's first number one hit in Australia. This is a lead sheet for the song, which has the melody and lyrics, and guitar chords. The song is written in B, and it has capo chords at capo 4 to utilise open chords. From Wikipedia:In an interview, lead singer and pianist Isaac Slade expressed his meaning behind the lyrics of the song:'You Found Me' is such a great song you should really listen to it. I love it as if it were my own child. The heart ache, the let down that comes with life. Sometimes you're let down, sometimes you're the one who lets someone else down. It gets hard to know who you can trust, who you can count on. This song came out of a tough time, and I'm still right in the thick of it. There's some difficult circumstances my family and friends have been going through over the past year or so and it can be overwhelming. It wears on me. It demands so much of my faith to keep believing, keep hoping in the unseen. Sometimes the tunnel has a light at the end, but usually they just look black as night. This song is about that feeling, and the hope that I still have, buried deep in my chest. In another interview Isaac Slade declared that:I kept getting these phone calls from home – tragedy after tragedy... If there is some kind of Person in charge of this planet – are they sleeping? Smoking? Where are they? I just imagined running into God standing on a street corner like Bruce Springsteen, smoking a cigarette, and I'd have it out with Him.In a Reuters article about the album, Slade stated that the lyrics for You Found Me were written in 2007, and that the song asks about the problem of evil, why bad things happen to good people, after some of their friends and family went through very tough times. Many others say that the song represents the reason we cope with things and how abandonment plays a role in everyday life.

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1459452 Composed by Randy Brooks. Arranged by Will Corbin. Christmas,Country,Pop. 10 pages. Will Corbin #1038405. Published by Will Corbin (A0.1459452). Randy Brooks says he was inspired to write this song by a tipsy relative. Important useless but interesting related fact: Brooks is the nephew of Foster Brooks, who made the rounds of '60s TV sitcoms, talkies and variety shows playing a stumbling drunk. Brooks' band talked him out of recording it himself, so he turned it over to Elmo Shropshire (I'm not making this up), who recorded it in 1979. (This is what most people would refer to as a very bad career move on Brooks' part, since he has not otherwise been heard of since.)This version, instrumental only, spares you the silly story ... but everybody reconizes the tune.If you need alternative instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. Piano/Vocal/Chords - Intermediate - Digital Download By Billie Eilish. Arranged by Mario Stallbaumer. 8 pages. Published by Mario Stallbaumer
Here's how to play "i love you" by Billie Eilish on piano!<br> <br> It's an accurate piano arrangement of the whole song which is quite easy to play, and sounds fantastic!<br> <br> The whole melody is included in the piano part, so it sounds great if it's played as an instrumental (piano solo) version. However, you can also use this sheet music to accompany a singer, or sing along yourself! These piano sheets include the song's full lyrics.<br> <br> "i love you" is a calm, melancholic track about falling in love, with a quite typical Billie-Eilish-sound. With its soft guitar rhythms, it makes for a beautiful piano cover!<br> <br> Here are the full lyrics to "I Love You" by Billie Eilish:<br> <br> [Verse 1]<br> It's not true<br> Tell me I’ve been lied to<br> Crying isn't like you, ooh<br> What the hell did I do?<br> Never been the type to<br> Let someone see right through, ooh<br> <br> [Chorus]<br> Maybe won't you take it back?<br> Say you were tryna make me laugh<br> And nothing has to change today<br> You didn’t mean to say "I love you"<br> I love you and I don't want to, ooh<br> <br> [Verse 2]<br> Up all night on another red-eye<br> I wish we never learned to fly<br> Maybe we should just try<br> To tell ourselves a good lie<br> Didn't mean to make you cry<br> <br> [Chorus]<br> Maybe won't you take it back?<br> Say you were tryna make me laugh<br> And nothing has to change today<br> You didn't mean to say "I love you"<br> I love you and I don't want to, ooh<br> <br> [Bridge]<br> The smile that you gave me<br> Even when you felt like dying<br> <br> [Outro]<br> We fall apart as it gets dark<br> I'm in your arms in Central Park<br> There's nothing you could do or say<br> I can’t escape the way I love you<br> I don’t want to, but I love you, ooh<br> Ooh, ooh<br> Ooh, ooh

The Water Is Wide (O Waly Waly)<br> Duration: 5:24<br> Score: 10 pg. 121 ms., MM quarter = 94, final verse MM quarter = 80, common time<br> Solo part: 3 pg.<br> Piano part: 4 pg.<br> <br> A thought-provoking arrangement of a Traditional Scottish Folksong. Probably most widely known as "The Water Is Wide,"<br> it is also well known by it's more ancient title: "O Waly Waly." The tune is also known as " When I Survey the Wondrous Cross," and "The Gift of Love."<br> This is an original arrangement from the ground up.<br> <br> Programming:<br> If you are looking for something with new contrapuntal and harmonic adventures for a Lenten prelude or a meditation during Holy Week, this will fit the bill.<br> It could also work well in a recital setting because it fits well on the instrument, and provides a chance to show off long, sensitive musical phrases.<br> Some of the figures in the descant verse are a wee-bit more advanced so, this is for intermediate players rather than beginners.<br> <br> Keep in mind these performance ideas:<br> 1. It's a simple tune that needs to unfold in the due course of time, so don't rush it. A slight ritardando at the end of each verse may help if you want to further delineate the verses.<br> 2. There is a lot of interesting counterpoint here, so be prepared to give-and-take on the dynamics more than what I have indicated.<br> 3. The final verse is much slower and more mysterious, and the dynamics are crucial - the quieter the better. Piano - the last chord: take your time on the roll, make it nice and slow.<br> <br> Synopsis of the arrangement:<br> verse 1: Simple quiet duet with the melody in the solo instrument.<br> verse 2: Melody in the solo instrument accompanied by a 2-part canon in the piano.<br> verse 3: Melody in the piano in 4-part harmony.<br> verse 4: 3-part canon on the melody (with a free accompaniment voice).<br> verse 5: 2-part canon with a free accompaniment in the solo part<br> verse 6: Melody in octaves with free bass in octaves; descant in the solo part - loudest verse.<br> verse 7: Very quiet ending verse - Modulates down a fourth, melody in the solo part accompanied by simple quartal/quintal<br> piano clusters over bass chords that suggest submerged church bells.<br> <br> For better insight into the performance of this music: express the emotion indicated by the lyrics:<br> <br> The Water Is Wide:<br> The water is wide, I cannot get over<br> Neither have I wings to fly<br> Give me a boat that can carry two<br> And both shall row, my love and I<br> A ship there is and she sails the sea<br> She's loaded deep as deep can be<br> But not so deep as the love I'm in<br> I know not if I sink or swim<br> I leaned my back against an oak<br> Thinking it was a trusty tree<br> But first it bent and then it broke<br> So did my love prove false to me<br> I reached my finger into some soft bush<br> Thinking the fairest flower to find<br> I pricked my finger to the bone<br> And left the fairest flower behind<br> Oh love be handsome and love be kind<br> Gay as a jewel when first it is new<br> But love grows old and waxes cold<br> And fades away like the morning dew<br> Must I go bound while you go free<br> Must I love a man who doesn't love me<br> Must I be born with so little art<br> As to love a man who'll break my heart<br> When cockle shells turn silver bells<br> Then will my love come back to me<br> When roses bloom in winter's gloom<br> Then will my love return to me<br> <br> The lyrics for "Waly, Waly, Gin Love Be Bonny" from Ramsay's Tea Table Miscellany (1724).<br> <br> O Waly, waly (a lament – "woe is me") up the bank,<br> And waly, waly doun the brae (hill),<br> And waly, waly, yon burn-side (riverside),<br> Where I and my love wont to gae.<br> I lean'd my back into an aik (oak),<br> I thocht it was a trusty tree;<br> But first it bow'd, and syne (soon) it brak (broke),<br> Sae my true love did lightly me.<br> <br> O waly, waly, but love be bonnie (beautiful),<br> A little time while it is new,<br> But when 'tis auld (old), it waxeth cauld (cold),<br> And fades away like the morning dew.<br> O wherefore should I busk my heid (adorn my head)?<br> Or wherefore should I kame (comb) my hair?<br> For my true love has me forsook,<br> And says he'll never love me mair (more).<br> <br> Now Arthur Seat shall be my bed,<br> The sheets shall ne'er be fyl'd by me,<br> Saint Anton's well shall be my drink,<br> Since my true love has forsaken me.<br> Martinmas wind, when wilt thou blaw (blow),<br> And shake the green leaves off the tree?<br> O gentle death, when wilt thou come?<br> For of my life I am weary.<br> <br> 'Tis not the frost, that freezes fell,<br> Nor blawing snaws (snow) inclemency,<br> 'Tis not sic cauld (such cold) that makes me cry,<br> But my love's heart grown cauld to me.<br> When we cam in by Glasgow town,<br> We were a comely sight to see;<br> My love was clad in the black velvet,<br> And I my sell in cramasie (crimson).<br> <br> But had I wist (known), before I kiss'd,<br> That love had been sae ill to win,<br> I'd lock my heart in a case of gold,<br> And pin'd it with a silver pin.<br> Oh, oh! if my young babe were born,<br> And set upon the nurse's knee,<br> And I my sell were dead and gane,<br> For a maid again I'll never be.[4]<br> (Lyrics courtesy of Wikipedia)<br> <br> <br> For more information, please feel free to contact me at: jmsgu3 "at" gmail.com<br> James M. Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.828227 Composed by John Hatton. Arranged by Paul Thurmond. 20th Century,Baroque,Christian,Sacred. Score. 7 pages. Paul Thurmond #4968929. Published by Paul Thurmond (A0.828227). Tune: DUKE STREETUse: Prelude, PostludeOne Sunday my church was singing Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun as the opening hymn. It’s our tradition that the last stanza of a hymn is sung in unison, so that I as the organist can change the harmonization and keep things interesting. Sometimes I know ahead of time what I’m going to do, and sometimes I make it up on the spot.On this particular morning I planned on being spontaneous. (Can spontaneity be planned?) When we got to the final stanza, I threw on the 16′ pedal reed and went to town.I don’t know if this is the case for all musicians, but while I’m playing my brain is working on several different levels. Most of these are involved in actually playing the music, but there’s also a running commentary on how things are going. This commentary is usually really boring: It’s going okay. It’s going okay. It’s going okay. Sometimes the messages are more interesting: Uh-oh. She just dropped her mute. I missed that chord; remember to circle it when we’re done. My page turner appears to be on fire. So: We’re in the final stanza of Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun. Big, majestic hymn. Over a hundred congregants and choir members are enthusiastically singing in unison. I’m leading them from the organ with an improvised accompaniment that involves all of my limbs. It’s fair to say that I was concentrating hard.Suddenly the commentary part of my brain breaks in: Dude, your feet are totally playing Canon in D. Cool!Canon in D is the most famous work of Johann Pachelbel, a German composer who preceded Bach by a few decades. It’s overused at weddings, but it’s actually a really good piece of music. The original is for three violins and a basso continuo part, which would usually have been played by harpsichord and cello. In this case, the basso continuo plays the same eight measures again and again throughout the piece. This technique of repetition is called a ground bass. While that’s going on, the violins play several different themes on top of it.When I was improvising that Sunday, my feet had accidentally wandered into that ground bass part, which happened to fit nicely with the melody we were singing. During the sermon (sorry Pastor!) I started going through the violin themes in my head, seeing if any of them could also match up with the hymn tune. Some of them worked and some didn’t. I decided to write a sort of theme and variations, where the hymn tune appears in various forms. Sometimes it’s played along with one of the violin themes, and sometimes a violin theme serves as an interlude on its own. And except for one passage, the left hand is always playing some version of the basso continuo theme. I also changed the meter from 4/4 to 3/4 to make it more interesting. It culminates in a climax worthy of a king. I hope you enjoy it.

Soprano voice,Vocal Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.873044 Composed by Sally Whitwell. Contemporary. 12 pages. Sally Whitwell #6130719. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.873044). If you really pushed me to make a call, Mussorsgky’s Pictures at an Exhibition would be one of my favourite pieces in the classical repertoire. Somewhat outrageously, for a pianist, I prefer the colours and textures of the orchestrated version. I reasonably regularly listen to it, especially in transit. But to be honest, it’s not the kind of music that I perform all that often i.e. music by dead, white, male composers. I mean, it’s 2020 and as the meme says I can’t believe I still have to protest this sh*t. And I feel it too for those in the visual art world. I mean, things are a good deal better over there in contemporary art world, where women are exhibited regularly and everyone seems to embrace it without a fuss. As for women artists from centuries gone by, it’s less good news but they’re working on it. I’m reminded of the situation daily as my older brother, who is excellent at choosing gifts thoughtfully, gave me some Guerrilla Girls merchandise which I use as an iPad cover. Entitled Advantages of Being a Woman Artist, it’s a list of truths that’s pretty relatable for any creative woman. My favourite bit - Being reassured that whatever kind of art you make it will be labeled feminine. Ooft. Too real. And so I conceived of this song cycle as a kind of gift for those fighting the traditional, patriarchal structures of the entire creative sector. Three songs, inspired by three works by three wonderful Australian women artists of last century. All are depictions of scenes around Sydney Harbour. In-curve is inspired by Grace Cossington Smith’s The Bridge in-curve, a depiction of an unfinished Sydney Harbour Bridge, painted in 1930 The Code is inspired by Thea Proctor’s woodcut print Women with fans. It is thought to be a portrait of two other artists, printmakers Ethel Spowers and Eveline Syme, sitting above Rushcutters Bay. Where would we sail? is inspired by a very different view of the same location Still life and Rushcutters Bay by Margaret Olley.

Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.983997). Whether its food, alcohol, drugs, or viewing pornography. Addictions destroy the lives of everyone around them. I look at addictions as if they were little devils that have us down and are jumping on top of us and won’t let us get up. Little by little the addicted and all of his friends and family lose faith, hope, love, peace, joy, and self respect. The shame of addiction keeps them in despair. They constantly have voices in their heads that say you’re no good, you’re no good, do you hear me, you’re no good. Well I’m here to tell you that is a lie. You are good. You are worth something. Life , family, love, peace, joy. Those are all things that are worth fighting for. Take them back. You are not unworthy. You can fight the addiction. You have made mistakes that are correctable. God tells us to resist the devil and he will flee from you. Then God says to draw near unto Him and He will draw near unto you. When God draws close to us, we will recieve His strength and power to leave the addiction behind. With Him we can overcome anything.

Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.1069990). Life ,family, love, peace, joy. Those are all things that are worth fighting for. Take them back. You are not unworthy. You can fight the addiction. You have made mistakes that are correctable. God tells us to resist the devil and he will flee from you. Then God says to draw near unto Him and He will draw near unto you. When God draws close to us, we will receive His strength and power to leave the addiction behind. With Him we can overcome anything.

Piano Solo, Piano/Vocal/Chords, Voice Duet - Intermediate - Digital Download By Glee Cast. Arranged by Mario Stallbaumer. 7 pages. Published by Mario Stallbaumer
With this piano sheet music, you can play “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on piano!<br> <br> The famous duet "Baby, It's Cold Outside" was written in 1944 by Frank Loesser, who regularly performed the song at celebrity parties with his wife, Lynn Garland.<br> <br> In 1949, the song appeared in the film "Neptune's Daughter", and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song!<br> <br> The song is clearly winter-themed (talking about the blizzard outside!), but it doesn’t mention anything holiday-related. Anyway, the song is generally considered a Christmas song.<br> <br> Of course, the song has been covered by countless artists since the 40s.<br> <br> Some of the most memorable recordings include such fantastic duos as Louis Armstrong and Velma Middleton, Ray Charles and Betty Carter, Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton, Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth MacFarlane and Sara Bareilles!<br> <br> “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” also appeared in an episode of Glee (“A Very Glee Christmas”, Season 2, Episode 10), where it is performed by members of the Glee Cast (Blaine Anderson/Darren Criss and Kurt Hummel/Chris Colfer).<br> <br> Time for you to play it!<br> <br> These piano sheets come with seperate systems for the two singers, so you’ll always have an easy oversight who’s singing when. Of course, the full lyrics and chords are included as well.<br> <br> You can use these piano sheets to play the song for yourself on piano, accompany singers, or sing along yourself!<br> <br> Listen to the full arrangement here: https://youtu.be/Y5gtxqT_Ewo<br> <br> Here are the full lyrics to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”:<br> <br> [VERSE 1]<br> <br> I really can't stay (but baby, it's cold outside)<br> <br> I've got to go away (but baby, it's cold outside)<br> <br> This evening has been (been hoping that you'd drop in)<br> <br> So very nice (i'll hold your hands, they're just like ice)<br> <br> My mother will start to worry (beautiful what's your hurry?)<br> <br> My father will be pacing the floor (listen to the fireplace roar)<br> <br> So really I'd better scurry (beautiful please don't hurry)<br> <br> But maybe just a half a drink more (put some records on while I pour)<br> <br> The neighbors might think (baby, it's bad out there)<br> <br> Say what's in this drink? (no cabs to be had out there)<br> <br> I wish I knew how (your eyes are like starlight now)<br> <br> To break this spell (i'll take your hat, your hair looks swell)<br> <br> I ought to say, no, no, no sir (mind if I move in closer?)<br> <br> At least I'm gonna say that I tried (what's the sense in hurtin' my pride?)<br> <br> I really can't stay (oh baby don't hold out)<br> <br> But baby, it's cold outside<br> <br> [VERSE 2]<br> <br> I simply must go (but baby, it's cold outside)<br> <br> The answer is no (but baby, it's cold outside)<br> <br> Your welcome has been(how lucky that you dropped in)<br> <br> So nice and warm (look out the window at this dawn)<br> <br> My sister will be suspicious (gosh your lips look delicious)<br> <br> My brother will be there at the door (waves upon the tropical shore)<br> <br> My maiden aunts mind is vicious (gosh your lips are delicious)<br> <br> But maybe just a cigarette more (never such a blizzard before)<br> <br> I've gotta get home(but baby, you'd freeze out there)<br> <br> Say lend me a coat(it's up to your knees out there)<br> <br> You've really been grand (i thrill when you touch my hand)<br> <br> But don't you see? (how can you do this thing to me?)<br> <br> There's bound to be talk tomorrow (think of my lifelong sorrow)<br> <br> At least there will be plenty implied (if you got pnuemonia and died)<br> <br> I really can't stay (get over that old out)<br> <br> Baby, it's cold outside
