Easy Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.890236 By Sara Bareilles. By Sara Bareilles. Arranged by Salvatore Mallimo. Pop. Score. 5 pages. Salvatore Mallimo #3481793. Published by Salvatore Mallimo (A0.890236). A great intermediate piano solo version with many features that make the song playable for an intermediate student: transposed for the original key of Db major to C major, but still preserves the rhythm and texture of the opening piano material, the original rhythms of all verses and choruses, and this arrangement uses a chordal accompaniment in the left hand of the bridge to give the same effect as in the performance of the song.

Piano Solo - Intermediate - Digital Download By Various. Arranged by Mario Stallbaumer. 3 pages. Published by Mario Stallbaumer
With this sheet music, you can play “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on piano!

The full melody is included in the piano part, so it makes for a perfect instrumental (piano solo) cover.

The famous duet "Baby, It's Cold Outside" was written in 1944 by Frank Loesser, who regularly performed the song at celebrity parties with his wife, Lynn Garland.

In 1949, the song appeared in the film "Neptune's Daughter", and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song!

The song is clearly winter-themed (talking about the blizzard outside!), but it doesn’t mention anything holiday-related. Anyway, the song is generally considered a Christmas song.

Of course, the song has been covered by countless artists since the 40s.

Some of the most memorable recordings include such fantastic duos as Louis Armstrong and Velma Middleton, Ray Charles and Betty Carter, Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton, Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth MacFarlane and Sara Bareilles!

“Baby, It’s Cold Outside” also appeared in an episode of Glee (“A Very Glee Christmas”, Season 2, Episode 10), where it is performed by members of the Glee Cast (Blaine Anderson/Darren Criss and Kurt Hummel/Chris Colfer).

Time for you to play it!

Here are the full lyrics to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”:

[VERSE 1]

I really can't stay (but baby, it's cold outside)

I've got to go away (but baby, it's cold outside)

This evening has been (been hoping that you'd drop in)

So very nice (i'll hold your hands, they're just like ice)

My mother will start to worry (beautiful what's your hurry?)

My father will be pacing the floor (listen to the fireplace roar)

So really I'd better scurry (beautiful please don't hurry)

But maybe just a half a drink more (put some records on while I pour)

The neighbors might think (baby, it's bad out there)

Say what's in this drink? (no cabs to be had out there)

I wish I knew how (your eyes are like starlight now)

To break this spell (i'll take your hat, your hair looks swell)

I ought to say, no, no, no sir (mind if I move in closer?)

At least I'm gonna say that I tried (what's the sense in hurtin' my pride?)

I really can't stay (oh baby don't hold out)

But baby, it's cold outside

[VERSE 2]

I simply must go (but baby, it's cold outside)

The answer is no (but baby, it's cold outside)

Your welcome has been(how lucky that you dropped in)

So nice and warm (look out the window at this dawn)

My sister will be suspicious (gosh your lips look delicious)

My brother will be there at the door (waves upon the tropical shore)

My maiden aunts mind is vicious (gosh your lips are delicious)

But maybe just a cigarette more (never such a blizzard before)

I've gotta get home(but baby, you'd freeze out there)

Say lend me a coat(it's up to your knees out there)

You've really been grand (i thrill when you touch my hand)

But don't you see? Piano Solo, Easy Piano - Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Horatio Spafford, Phillip P. Bliss. Arranged by JoLaYo. Christian, Sacred, Praise and Worship, General Worship. Individual Part, Solo Part. 5 pages. Published by Josiah Yowell
This is a Late Intermediate Solo Piano arrangement of the sacred song "It Is Well With My Soul" by Horatio Spafford and Phillip P. Bliss. This arrangement is not very difficult, nor is it very easy. If you're looking for an arrangement that is right in the middle, this is it! I have included musical directional guidance such as finger numbers, dynamics, etc. These help the performer play it with as much ease as possible. I made this arrangement more sorrowful sounding than the average It Is Well arrangement to help communicate that even though we have the hope of the future heaven, we are still in the stormy trials of the present. Enjoy!~ As an arranger/transcriber, I strive to make my arrangements/sheets as high-quality and performer-friendly as possible. If you enjoy this arrangement, please feel free to contact me to make requests for future arrangements! Also, if there is anything you dislike about the arrangement, or edits you believe are necessary, I will definitely consider adding them/updating the arrangement if you contact me! Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1015884 Composed by Sébastien MONNERET. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. Sebastien MONNERET #5001745. Published by Sebastien MONNERET (A0.1015884). Nocturnia No. 1, Walking On The Blue Side is an illustration of the fragile border that exists between happiness and melancholy. It is the simple idea that one can, at any moment, suddenly pass from nothing to anything, without being able to do anything. The word Walking refers to the left-handed mode of play called Walking Bass often used in jazz piano that I used. It's finally a nod to Pink Floyd's album Dark Side of the Moon and Miles Davis' album Kind of Blue.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596578 Composed by Juan MarÃa Solare. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards. Score. 13 pages. Juan Maria Solare #4892571. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596578). Meraki: five piano pieces Simple but not superficial music. Five Neo-classical, post-Romantic piano pieces with unconventional titles. Listen to them here: https://juanmariasolare.bandcamp.com/album/meraki Meraki, in recording for felted piano, will be released in 2020 (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) through the label Double J Music. (felted piano sounds are produced by putting a piece of felt or cloth between the strings and the hammers.) Meraki (Greek) is when you put your soul into something you are doing. Meraki is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe what happens when you leave a piece of yourself (your soul, creativity, or love) in your work. When you love doing something, anything, so much that you put something of yourself into it. Meraki means to do something with passion, with absolute devotion, with undivided attention. Meraki is derived from the Turkish Merak (Labor of love, to do something with pleasure). Usually applied to tasks, usually, creative or artistic tasks, but can be applied to any task at all. Lumokinesis (4:00). Lumokinesis is the ability to manipulate and control the element light at will. Kenopsia (4:00). Kenopsia is the eerie atmosphere of a place usually full of peple, but now abandoned and calm. Ataraxia (4:30). Tranquility, imperturbability, absence of wishes or fears. Petricor (3:30). Petrichor is the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil. Exulansis (3:45). The tendency to stop talking of one's experiences because people cannot reate to them.

Intermezzo from "Cavalleria rusticana" (Mascagni) - Solo Violin and Piano

Piano,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1315952 Composed by Pietro Mascag…

Piano,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1315952 Composed by Pietro Mascagni. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. Classical,Easter,Film/TV,Opera,Romantic Period. 8 pages. RBMusic #904730. Published by RBMusic (A0.1315952). In 1889, a struggling composer called Pietro Mascagni heard about a sponsored competition for one-act operas, specifically for young Italian composers who had not yet had an opera performed, only two months before the deadline. With little time, he selected the subject for his opera and asked his childhood friend, Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti (who was helped by Guido Menasci), to write a libretto for him. Mascagni selected a story that he had seen as a play in Milan in early 1884 by realist writer Giovanni Verga, “Rustic Chivalryâ€, or Cavalleria rusticana. A passionate love tragedy featuring seduction, adultery, revenge and murder, it is surprising set on Easter morning.Mascagni received only a few verses at a time from his librettists, but he was not worried because he had the opera clear in his mind: “I identified with the drama to such an extent that I felt it within myself in terms of music.†After two months’ of work, the music for Cavalleria rusticana was finished but he feared the opera would fail and put the music in a draw. Fortunately, his wife sent it off, he unanimously won the competition and was soon the talk of Europe. (At the premiere in May 1890 in Rome, Mascagni received no fewer than 60 curtain calls.) Unfortunately, it was a one-hit wonder with Mascagni unable to repeat its success, saying towards the end of his life that “it is a pity I wrote Cavalleria first for I was crowned before I became king.†He died, penniless, in 1945.Today, few people have heard of Mascagni’s name, and, if they have, it is rarely in relation to anything but one piece from Cavalleria rusticana, the Intermezzo. A short piece of purely orchestral music that is uses to denote the passage of time, the orchestration is very simple but it is such an indulgently beautiful melody (based on a hymn heard earlier in the short opera) that perfectly captures the peace of country living in Sicily against the intense feelings of the main characters and the looming tragedy to come. The piece is so popular that (along with the “Easter Hymn†from the same opera), it is the only reason Mascagni features in the Classic FM’s Hall of Fame. The piece was used in the 1980 film Raging Bull and the 1990 film The Godfather Part III.A recording of the original song can be found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgr-I1y1_2M.Other searchable terms: Italy, Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Cathy Moriarty, Nicholas Colasanto, Theresa Saldana, Frank Vincent, Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, Andy GarcÃa, Eli Wallach, Joe Mantegna, Bridget Fonda, George Hamilton, Sofia Coppola.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1425889 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 52 pages. Damien Gauci #1006655. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1425889). This is the second album that I have released and it is another soft piano album. Ever since I published my first album ‘Sunday’ I have been wanting to write another one because I enjoyed writing the first one so much. I wanted to write even better pieces than the first one as well as a couple more pieces too. When thinking about a theme for this album, I decided to go for the season of summer and write music that reminds me of summer such as the warm breeze, the fragrance of the trees and flowers, and the sparkle of the sun on the water. In a lot of the pieces in this album, I explored the line between the ambient and melodic world with some pieces featuring a strong melody while others cycle through a chord progression in a certain pattern. This is something that I like to explore in a lot of my music as I think a melody is a great way to make a piece of music memorable but I also find that less melodically driven pieces still have their place in telling a story or setting a mood. So, if you are listening to this album or learning it, I hope that you find each piece enjoyable and that there is one that sticks out to you as your favourite. My intention is for you to listen to them while you drive, study, work, or have a rest or do anything else to make those moments a little more enjoyable and special. Thanks very much for taking the time to check out this album!

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1000329 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, Paul Eber, and Steve Boudreau. Arranged by Steve Boudreau. 20th Century,Jazz,Sacred. Score. 2 pages. Steve Boudreau #6681051. Published by Steve Boudreau (A0.1000329). The Bach Chorales are ultimate examples of melodies creating harmonies, the parts coming together to form a whole. They are also great examples of a musician taking a melody and making a new arrangement of it, like jazz musicians do today. This piece is a combination of two chorale melodies that Bach arranged, originally based on hymns by 16th-century composer Paul Eber. For context, Bach set the melody around 200 years after it was written, and I re-worked the melodies with my own harmonies nearly 300 years after that. The first job I had when I moved back to Ottawa from Boston was as a church pianist. At one point there was a two-month stretch where I was in charge of programming the instrumental music we played, and I challenged myself to come up with new arrangements every week- the way Bach would have in his time, just on a much smaller scale. This was a terrific creative outpouring of music for me, and it renewed my enormous respect for the church music community and the work involved. For this piece I took two seemingly unrelated chorales (they are actually from the same Cantata, BWV 127) and attached them, using their distant keys of A Major and F Major to set up an interesting modulation halfway through. I had to actively try out some more modern harmonic progressions to take the overall sound of the piece further away from Bach's version. One of my favourite moments is when you finish the C major resolution and then repeat back into F# Minor at the top for improvising. In the solo piano version this surprising cut doesn't occur unless you take a second pass through the piece, so I encourage you to try repeating the piece even if you don't feel comfortable embellishing or changing anything the second time around.

Blaze Scheuerman #688577. Published by Blaze Scheuerman (A0.1084402). The second movement of Blaze's Piano Sonata in E Major No. 1, following A Look Into The Past, A Moment In The Present was primarily inspired by Beethoven’s Piano Sonata in F Minor No. 1 and Piano Sonata in C Minor No. 8 “Pathetiqueâ€. I gave it its name because I find it to be a very relaxing and dawdling piece. It reminds me of someone just lounging around and enjoying nothing but taking in the moment. The syncopated melody gives off the feeling that his thoughts are also jumbled together. He is not actively trying to achieve anything, but instead just letting anything come to him. It is supposed to contrast the first movement by being simpler and more relaxing (where the first is dominating and complex). I especially wanted a much more lyrical and monophonic (single voiced) piece to contrast with the polyphony (many voiced) and layers of the first.

Use: Prelude, Offertory, CommunionI have a nice view from my studio window on the second floor of my house. It overlooks our big backyard, some trees and brush, a couple of fields, and some small mountains in the distance. My studio is set up so that as I play I can look outside. This year in Tennessee we’ve had more snow than normal. There have been many school closings. Even Tennessee Tech shut down at times, which hardly ever happens. So I’ve had some opportunities to sit in my studio in the middle of the day, look out my window at the beautiful falling snow, and write music.I began today’s piece a few weeks ago, during one of the largest snowfalls I’ve seen since I moved here from Wisconsin. I composed a few measures that I liked, couldn’t think of where to go next, and put it aside for a time. For the next few days I kept coming back to it, always liking what I had already written, but not able to add anything new. Then we had another snowfall. This time I was able to finish the basic structure of the piece, but I got stuck when I started to polish it up.A couple of days ago it snowed yet again, and I completed the work and recorded it.Today is Saturday, and it’s not snowing as I write this. However, they’re predicting more snow on Monday, which is usually the day I edit my blog posts. [Last minute update: No snow on Monday, although we did get 2 inches of rain.]Apparently, this piece owes its existence to frozen precipitation. I considered naming it Paean to the Snow Muses, but I think I’ll stick with my original title, February.

B-Flat instrument,B-Flat trombone,Baritone Horn TC/Euphonium,C Instrument,Instrumental Solo,Piano,Tenor Trombone,Trombone/Baritone B.C. - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1320503 Composed by Pietro Mascagni. Arranged by Rob Bushnell. Classical,Easter,Film/TV,Opera,Romantic Period. Score and individual part. 9 pages. RBMusic #909019. Published by RBMusic (A0.1320503). The piece was used in the 1980 film Raging Bull and the 1990 film The Godfather Part III.This arrangement (for solo trombone or euphonium and piano accompaniment) includes an alternative part for trombone/euphonium in treble clef. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.972672 Composed by James Siddons. Christian,Concert,Contemporary,Easter. Score. 17 pages. James Siddons Music and Writings #6671707. Published by James Siddons Music and Writings (A0.972672). Sonata Hymnica No. 5 has the subtitle Scenes of Calvary. Landscape paintings and printed illustrations of the Cross of Calvary were ubiquitous in Christian literature in the late 19th century, so it not surprising that allusions to such art are found in the texts of hymns. The three hymns heard in Sonata Hymnica No. 5 all evoke some sense of seeing, in a spiritual way, the scene of the Crucifixion. Sonata Hymnica No. 5 opens with a sturdy and rugged statement of When I Survey the Wond’rous Cross, written by Isaac Watts in 1707. This poem continues: On which the Prince of Glory dy’d, . . . See from His Head, his Hands, his Feet, Sorrow and Love flow mingled down! In the United States, music educator Lowell Mason (1792-1872) composed a tune in 1824 for singing Watts’ hymn. Named HAMBURG tune, it was an adapted form of some Gregorian chant in Church Mode I. This combination of poem and tune became very popular; so much so, that by the 1880s, elaborations of it appeared in print. The most enduring is the pairing of Watts’ poem and Mason’s tune with a simple camp meeting song, At the Cross, to be a refrain. It has the phrases, At the cross, where I first saw the light . . . It was there by faith I received my sight. The centerpiece of Sonata Hymnica No. 5 is the tune TOPLADY, the usual tune for singing Rock of Ages. This tune was composed in 1830 by Thomas Hastings (1784-1872), an associate of Lowell Mason in New York. He wrote hymns and hymn tunes, published hymnals, and worked tirelessly to elevate choral singing in churches. Hastings indicated that he intended his tune for singing Rock of Ages by naming it after the author of the hymn-poem, the English pastor Augustus Toplady (1740-1778). The Rev. A. B. Grosart wrote in a memorial that Toplady was no poet or inspired singer, but an impulsive, rash-spoken, reckless preacher who could nonetheless picture vanishing gleams of imaginative light in his hymnic verses. A better impression was gained by poet A. C. Benson (1862-1925), who, upon hearing Rock of Ages sung at William Gladstone’s funeral at Westminster Abbey in 1898 --- a rare State funeral attended by several members of the British Royal family --- wrote, To have written such words which should come home to people in moments of high, deep, and passionate emotion . . . there can hardly be anything worth doing better than that. This high compliment came from the poet who, a few years later, would write the words of Elgar’s Coronation Ode for King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. A camp meeting song, a rash-spoken English pastor, two American music educators, a State funeral at Westminster Abbey --- such is the wide world of influence and inspiration of these three Scenes of Calvary.

Published by ANTONELLA DI GIULIO (A0.1121322). During a retreat at the Blue Cliff Monastery, a very common question within the participants had been: “How can I be peaceful and compassionate in a world that seems to be full of anger and resentment?†One of the young nuns shared with us that, like Thich Nhat Hanh, she was aiming to be like a pine tree on the top of a mountain, able to always be the most beautiful tree she can ever be, despite rain, sun, snowstorms and anything else the world can throw at her. I remember her beautiful smile while she was talking to us and how she was shining in the darkness of a meditation hall. Out there, right next to you, maybe in your house, in your family, out in the society, there is violence and wars, fights and disruptions, and a lot of anger and suffering. How can you stay peaceful and be a strong and beautiful pine tree in a world which seems set up to create despair?

Published by Ben Ledochowski (A0.1023644). The Dreaming Sea was my first paid composition commission, a piece I wrote in April 2020. For the composition commission, my author friend Sterling Wisniewski requested me to score a short story of his, with the score I provided being expected to tell the story of the words through music and accompany original artwork. His short story is included as follows:A cardboard boat sifts the surface of the sea. A little girl, eyes closed, arms wide and crowned with a paper hat, stands at the front of the deck. Unsinkable - that's what she was. Her imagination bounced the boat on the tension of theworld, almost like it wasn't there. Her eyes were closed, yet she saw everything. On shore, a crowd of dirty sailors went about their work. Nasty mouths swore and harsh fists carried their cargo to their strong, dirty boat. A boy, no taller than a barrel, was in the midst of the buff shoulders and fit forearms. He peaked between the muscle mountains. He saw her. Eyes closed and arms wide, sailing away from the Sun and into the appearing Moon. The wind flapped her hair like the sail of a boat. The boy pried between the men and ran to the end of the dock, stuck his flat hand over his forehead to see. The boy could've sworn that she saw him. He could've sworn the boat swooped in a foot from his face. He could've sworn he heard her giggle. If anything, he thought he knew she saw him.The boy's father, the largest of all the men, wearing a real sailor's hat, gripped the boy's shoulder, spun him away from view of the cardboard boat, and without a word dragged him to the solid wooden ship in front of them. The robust crew pulled ropes and pushed out to set sail towards the setting Sun in the west. The boy soon slipped out of his father's grip and ran to the edge of the boat. Standing on his tiptoes, he hovered his eyes over the dock. There she was - eyes closed and arms wide, the wind flowing through her hair while her cardboard boat skipped the seas like a stone. he could've sworn she was thinking about him. he could've sworn he would see her again. He could've&n.

Instrumental Solo,Piano and Keyboard - Level 5 - Interactive Download SKU: A0.480874 By PETER Z SALTZMAN. By PETER Z SALTZMAN. This edition: Interactive Download. Blues,Children,Classical,Jazz. Individual part. 2 pages. Duration 86. Salt Muse, Inc #77okvfC6ltCj6rma22mFYB. Published by Salt Muse, Inc (A0.480874). Key: F major.Though it starts simply enough, this bluesy lullaby becomes increasingly complex as voices that started as accompaniment become counterpoint and the harmony becomes more and more, well, blue. So whille it initially seems pretty easy pianistically speaking, it ends up anything but. (For this reason, I'll be posting a simplified version soon: I think it would be an attractive recital piece for young pianists wanteding something a bit different.) Blues Lullaby comes from a suite/album called Blues, Preludes and Feuds.
