Love Is Forever is a song by Danish singer Leonora that was Denmark's entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. It is the first multilingual entry from Denmark in Eurovision and also the first Danish entry with Danish lyrics since the removal of the language rule in 1999. It was performed at the second semi-final on 16 May 2019, and qualified for the final, where it placed 12th with 120 points.It's a fun little number that will round off any pop or wedding choir repertoire. The song was originally recorded by Lennon in 1979 and 1980 and released posthumously in 1988. His demo recording was completed by his former Beatles bandmates (Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) as part of the Beatles Anthology project released in 1995. It is the last single by the Beatles to become a top 40 hit in the US, the last released record of new material credited to the Beatles, and the last to originate and be included on an album. The opera was called Xerxes, sometimes written Serses and pronounced something like “ZERT-seesâ€. It was commissioned by The King’s Theatre in London and composed by Handel (who had become naturalized British and lived in London at the time) around 1737 and 1738. The opera is loosely based on the real historical figure King Xerxes, who ruled from around 522-486 BC and was the fourth king of the Achaemenid Empire, a vast region that covered most of the present-day Middle East including modern Turkey.  The melody is often known simply as Handel’s Largo (despite being marked “Larghetto†in the musical score) and is the opening aria in the opera. Known by its opening line Ombra mai fu the aria is sung by Xerxes to a plane tree: “Tender and beautiful fronds of my beloved plane tree, let fate smile upon you...â€Although the melody has survived over the years, the opera itself was a complete failure when it was first performed at the King’s Theatre in London’s Haymarket in 1738. The style of the opera was not appreciated by London opera-goers and it generally received poor reviews. The audience may have been confused by the innovative nature of the work because Handel introduced unexpected comic elements into the plot.This arrangement for trumpet (or cornet) and piano is in concert E flat major (F major for solo part). In the transposed solo part, the lowest note is the C just below the treble staff and the highest note is the F on the top line of the staff. The piano part has been kept as simple as possible. Being so well-known, this piece would make a suitable encore. Â

I entered into a composition competition in the Northern Hemisphere summer of 2014. It was a part of something called the F​ estival of Love​ p​resented by Southbank in London, a festival celebrating the enactment of the Same Sex Couple Act in the United Kingdom. This issue is close to my heart as my partner is from the UK and we are as gay as a row of rainbow striped teepees.During the festival, members of the public passing through Southbank Centre were asked to write down a couple of sentences about something they love. Those texts were then posted on the internet and composers were invited over a period of just 24 hours, to set them to music for a cappella female vocal trio ​Ju​ice​. ​​​I was absolutely thrilled that one of my compositions, G​​oing Somewhere​​, was selected for performance.Although I will likely never meet the authors of these texts Ella from Brixton, nor Susie from Hammersmith, (I mean, they didn’t even leave their surnames!) I like to think I have a creative connection to them. Just like Ella, i really enjoy being on my little island-of-me as I walk through the city or sit on a train, the stimulus of the flow of energy and people around me is something I very much enjoy. I also really love Susie was able to find her place in the world at trapeze school. This world is so richly diverse in its opportunities, there’s surely got to be something for everyone.

Published by Kevin Longley (A0.1019370). Bring His LoveInspiration (below is a note I sent to my sister) Hi Karen! In the fall of last year I started working on a new church anthem for FUMC. Over the years your choir has sung several pieces of mine; so I felt I should do something in return. I quickly got an idea for the music only (sometimes I will get some lyric ideas also, but didn't this time.) By the first of the year I had the basic structure sketched out on paper but then put it aside for Easter Rehearsals. When the pandemic stopped all church choirs I returned to the music and by early May had the score in the computer, close to completion. At that point I still didn't have any lyrics but began feeling that it should be about God's creation. All I could envision was a singer with his arms stretched out to the sun, the ocean, the moon, etc. while singing this piece. So I started searching for a possible prayer that might fit and came upon Canticle of the Son. As I read it through I liked the structure and began sketching out the lyrics. I couldn't help but wonder what our response should be to God's creation. How should we thank him or praise him or take care of it? I then turned my thoughts to FUMC and considered this - what phrase would sum up this churches mission? I almost immediately got Bring His Love. From there the balance of the lyrics fell into place. So attached is the recording and the music. I have no expectations but hope you and the choir enjoy the music. The Music The piece starts with 16th note broken chords in the upper register of the piano which lead to the opening theme. A tenor soloist begins by singing God's praises for all he has given us; ending with the thought How can we thank such kindness?; The answer Bring His Love the B section. At its conclusion we are returned to the opening theme, this time sung by the choir which again leads us to the same questionHow can we thank such kindness?, The answer Bring His Love the B section. A C section is then introduced with a change to a more beat driven accompaniment with the vocals alternating between the upper and lower voices. A return to the opening theme, with minimal chordal accompaniment, features the original soloist but then adds a second voice leading to a duet and a return to the broken chord accompaniment.. Finally the B section,Bring His Love is repeated and concludes in a rousing fashion.. Program Notes The piece could work very well for Earth Day celebrations.

First of all, let me thank you for taking the time to look at this little song I wrote. Although it is not a very big composition, it is definitely one of my favorites. It was originally written for tenor and piano, but please feel free to adapt it for any voice.You can hear it here: https://youtu.be/OYsXigQ1R7w It can be sung by male or female voices because the sentiment it expresses is one that I think we can all identify with: being in love or totally captivated with someone or something which seems so much higher, brighter, purer, and more lovely than ourselves and hoping, against all odds, they might notice us and feel something other than pity or revulsion. This song springs from that secret and tender spot in our human hearts which so often, like a millipede, curls up in a ball to protect itself when poked at and prodded by others. If you sing this song, don’t worry about singing it well. Try sing it honestly, instead. And, no matter how dark it may seem, I hope your heart will find some comfort in the company of this little millipede and the bright moon which shines above us. This composition is a musical interpretation of Christina Rossetti's (1830-1894) poem “Echo†which she put to paper in 1854. In the text, the subject is reminiscing about lost love and their wishes for their lover to return to them in real life, or even in dreams, like an echo. They describe the memories of their love as something that shall always be a part of their life, much like the way it is in every heartbreaking relationship. The poem, and thus the music, is filled with the emotions of deep yearning, along with joy of memories past and hope- until it all fades away at the end and reality sets back in......Echo will be my featured compostion to celebrate International Piano Day on March 29th, 2023.

The words used in this choral arrangement reflect the popular lyrics used during the twentieth century. The song was made popular by many folk singers notably Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. It has become one of the most popular folk songs today, largely because of its beautiful tune.
