Piano - easy to intermediate - Digital Download Easiest Piano Pieces by Frederic Chopin. Composed by Frederic Chopin (1810-1849). This edition: Sheet music. Chopin, Piano, Klavier. Easy Composer Series. Downloadable. Schott Music - Digital #Q43619. Published by Schott Music - Digital
Chopin - this is passion, elegance and melancholy! And it is exactly what makes him well liked in piano lessons and while music-making at home. Chopin's music is technically quite demanding, but thanks to the suitable fingerings of the composer most technical figures are very comfortable in the hands and can be easily played by advanced pianists. The collection contains Chopin's easiest piano pieces in one volume which is perfect for piano lessons - but also for playing the piano at home.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Clarinet,English Horn,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1473315 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 19th Century,Romantic Period,Wedding. 10 pages. RayThompsonMusic #1051126. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1473315). Étude Op. 10, No. 3, in E major, is a study for solo piano composed by Frédéric Chopin in 1832. It was first published in 1833 in France,Germany, and England as the third piece of his Études Op. 10. This is a slow cantabile study for polyphonic and expressive legato playing. In fact, Chopin himself believed the melody of the piece to be the most beautiful one he ever composed. It became famous through numerous popular arrangements.Although this étude is sometimes identified by the names Tristesse (Sadness) or Farewell (L'Adieu), neither is a name given by Chopin, but rather his critics.Arranged wind quintet.I have transposed it from E major to F major to aid the players. It is NOT the complete study, rather it is of the opening theme, a small selection from the development and the reprise of the theme. The melody is taken mainly the the oboe and flute, the clarinet takes the broken arpeggios, the bassoon the bass line, and the horn adds sustaining notes.Check out my other Chopin arrangements of some of his Preludes (including Raindrop) and of Nocturne No.2.

Romantic Period,Wedding. 8 pages. RayThompsonMusic #1050338. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1472684). Chopin wrote a number of preludes for piano solo. His cycle of 24 Preludes, Op. 28, covers all major and minor keys.In addition, Chopin wrote three other preludes: a prelude in C♯ minor, Op. 45; a piece in A♭ major from 1834; and an unfinished piece in E♭ minor. These are sometimes referred to as Nos. 25, 26, and 27, respectively. This is no 20 in C minorIt is very short - 13 barsArranged here for wind quintetunlike other arrangements you may find, I made the decision to give the first 4 bars.which on the piano are played low down, to the clarinet, horn and bassoon. This gives the ooening a darker moodier feel.Check out my other Chopin arrangements of some of his Preludes (including Raindrop) and of Nocturne No.2.Arranged wind quintet.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.882074 Composed by Samuel Wellman. Contemporary,Instructional. Score. 9 pages. Samuel Wellman #14697. Published by Samuel Wellman (A0.882074). The ninth and final entry in my series of Chopin-like etudes, using the keys he omitted in his own etudes. Actually, I must confess. Whereas the first 8 etudes do indeed mimic Chopin's style, for this final etude I couldn't help it: my own style, vaguely tonal but filled with crushing dissonances, dominates this piece. It is longer and more difficult than its predecessors, a juggernaut of sonorities that hurtles the poor pianist to total destruction. Not for the squeamish!

Instrumental Duet Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.802607 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Contemporary. Score and parts. 4 pages. Peet du Toit #5982425. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802607). The Nocturne No. 20 in C- sharp minor, Op. posth., Lento con gran expressione, P 1, No. 1, No. 16, KKIVa/16, is a solo piano piece composed by Frédéric Chopin in 1830 and published in 1870.Chopin dedicated this work to his older sister Ludwika Chopin, with the statement: To my sister Ludwika as an exercise before beginning the study of my second Concerto. First published 21 years after the composer's death, the piece is usually referred to as Lento con gran espressione, from its tempo marking. It is sometimes also called Reminiscence. The piece was played by Holocaust survivor Natalia Karp for the Nazi concentration camp commandant Amon Goeth, with Goeth being so impressed with the rendition that he spared Karp's life. This was also the piece played by Holocaust survivor and famed Polish pianist Władysław Szpilman (the central figure of the 2002 Roman Polanski film The Pianist) during the last live broadcast of Polish radio on September 23, 1939 when Warsaw was besieged by the German army. Years later Szpilman also played this piece for German army officer Wilm Hosenfeld upon their first meeting, though in the corresponding film scene Szpilman plays an abridged version of Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23. Hosenfeld later helped Szpilman hide and provided food to him in the last months of the war. It's been many years I've been inspired by this music after seeing violinist Midori (at age 12) having performed this (watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw0UH1UXJVg ). So, here is my attempt for a string duo. Enjoy!

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.914314 Composed by Philip P. Bliss and J. Lincoln Hall. Arranged by Heather Knezevich. Christian,Romantic Period,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 4 pages. Songs of Praise #6301753. Published by Songs of Praise (A0.914314). This beautifully expressive arrangement for advanced piano solo draws inspiration from Chopin's Ballade No. 4, Op. 52. It begins with the refrain of the hymn, It Is Well with My Soul in the key of A-flat major, then continues to the verse (in D-flat major). The first verse is thoughtful: When peace like a river attendeth my way... The melody occasionally moves between the hands. In the second verse, it build intensity: Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come... The key changes to B-flat major and transitions to a simpler style for the second hymn, Does Jesus Care? It returns to the key of D-flat for the final triumphant verse: And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight... It ends thoughtfully, echoing the opening phrase of the arrangement. This piece is suitable for advanced pianists looking for a recital solo or church offertory. The composer is an active church musician and welcomes your input!

The original melody of All the Way My Savior Leads Me joins later under Chopin's accompaniment part followed by Amazing Grace's melody. Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1031550 Composed by Andrew Kierszenbaum. 20th Century,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score. 12 pages. Andrew Kierszenbaum #3447521. Published by Andrew Kierszenbaum (A0.1031550). My first score of 2018! It lasts about 6 minutes and is of about intermediate/advanced difficulty. It is the result of many hours, drafts, ideas, scribbles, and edits, BUT- above all, it is a labor of love and I hope THAT shines through the music the most... For this piece, I was inspired by dances and fantasies of the romantic period, especially those by Chopin and Schumann. However, I believe the piece doesn't feel trapped in an imitation of the music of a specific era. It uses the romantic and classical traditions as baselines and, in my opinion, transcends them. A major work I was inspired by is the Polonaise-Fantasy by Chopin. I wanted to create a dreamy, ballade-like, somewhat freeform/improvised landscape of texture and feeling that explores the waltz form but also infuses some elements of sonata form and theme and variations.I would put the piece at an intermediate/advanced level, but would definitely recommend this to teachers and students alike (I have already given it to a few in my own circle). The fee for this piece goes directly to me, so I can continue following my passion by composing and teaching students the wonderful gift that is piano playing! Please enjoy, and I would love to hear what you think of this one!Sincerely,Andrew

While my first Ballade was inspired by Chopin the second has a very obvious Beethovenian sound to it. However I was still at this time interested in a more 'impromptu' style which mixes the same fantasia sound of the first Ballade with a more structured style.

Chamber Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: A0.1035224 Composed by Frederik François Chopin (1810-1949). Arranged by James Strauss. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 33 pages. James Strauss #5806027. Published by James Strauss (A0.1035224). Unless your name is Mozart, Mendelssohn or Korngold, the first compositional steps are always the hardest. Chopin was probably no older than 14 when he set to work on a set of variations for piano and flute. Already in love with opera, he decided on the happy- ending aria, Non più mesta (No longer sad) from Rossini’s opera Cinderella. As the curtain comes down, Cinderella gleefully warbles, No longer sad beside the fire shall I sit alone, singing; my long years of heartache were but a streak of lightning, a dream, a game. We are unsure what actually prompted Chopin to select this for his unique combination of flute and piano, but it was most likely written for the composer’s father who was a capable amateur flute player. In the end, the piece was probably dedicated to Józef Cichowski, a close friend of his fathers and an amateur flautist as well. We are indeed fortunate that this early piece of Chopin juvenilia has actually survived, as Jozef Nowakowski, one of the composer’s friends, kept the single manuscript copy as a memento. For one reason or another, the work did not appear in print until 1953. This charming and fluent set of variations presents the theme and four decorated versions of the original tune. Added triplet figuration enlivens the first variation, while the second relies on a florid bel canto style to embellish the theme. Rapid downward arpeggios propel variation three, and the concluding variant displays rapid staccato figuration. Stylistically, there is nothing in this composition to suggest Chopin’s hand. You certainly won’t hear Chopin’s fingerprint in the piano part, as all the interesting bits are given to the flute. In addition, it’s the only Chopin piano part that can comfortably be played by most amateurs. Clearly, the future poet of the piano had a long way to go! Here in a Flute and orchestra version.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1216197 By Brian Golden. By Brian Golden. Arranged by Brian Golden. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Brian Golden #812808. Published by Brian Golden (A0.1216197). Prelude 12 in Bb Minor Dorian from 24 Preludes for the Piano in Major and Minor Modes by composer Brian Golden  The creative concept in writing these preludes is to provide a link to past preludes written for the keyboard, and in particular to the works of J.S. Bach and Frederic Chopin, whose works stand as essential repertoire for any student of the piano.  Using Bach’s and Chopin’s examples, my goal was to compose in all twenty-four keys, yet offer my own variation on the progression of key signatures – Bach’s being a pattern of major to parallel minor progressing chromatically through all keys, and Chopin’s a pattern of major to relative minor keys progressing clockwise through the circle of fifths.  In order to expand my harmonic and melodic possibilities, I have included the modal keys rather than only the major and harmonic minor keys, and have chosen to work counterclockwise through the circle of fifths, which is a more natural harmonic progression.  Therefore, all major preludes resolve from one to another V-I, as well as do all the minor preludes.  While there are seven modal scales, I decided to leave out the locrian modes for the following reasons.  First, due to the diminished fifth, the locrian mode cannot be thought of as either major nor minor.  Second, the locrian mode did not have a relative key to pair with, since there were no other keys with the identical characteristic notes.  In creating the key architecture, I determined that there was only one solution to pairing major and relative minor scales based on a shared parent key and characteristic note - ionian/aolian, mixolydian/phrygian and lydian/dorian.  This specific order of modal scales is the only order that would enable composing in all twelve key signatures.  Finally, the inspiration for each prelude came from playing through several other preludes in the same keys - mostly by Bach and Chopin - and letting their themes and styles influence me in the writing of my own.YouTube Link https://youtu.be/xb4E0I-vJek.
