This String Quartet arrangement of the jazz standard “Misty” can also be performed witha String Trio, since the 2nd Violin part is optional. This songreally tugs on the heart strings – you may have your audience swaying andslow-dancing as they listen. I've transposed this to the key of D to make it a little more string-friendly.

One thing that sets my arrangements apart from othersis that I fit all of my parts on 2sheets of music. This makes it sothe songs can fit into a binder, without the need for flipping pages!

Another great thing (for multi-instrumentalarrangements) is that I include cuelines on each part, so that every player in the ensemble can see one otherperson’s music at the same time. This isso amazingly useful and has saved countless performances in the past. If someone skips a beat or misses a measure,you can now see where they are and reconnect! This also helps withsight-reading and keeping the group together in general.
