Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1416950 Composed by Franklin L. Sheppard. Arranged by Amanda Tero. Christian,Religious,Sacred. Score. 10 pages. Amanda Tero #998539. Published by Amanda Tero (A0.1416950). Experience the heartwarming rendition of the beloved intermediate piano solo This is My Father’s World at your church service or recital. Beginning with a delicate sound and colorful chords, this arrangement smoothly evolves into a hymn infused with modern nuances, featuring lightly syncopated rhythms. This is My Father’s World intermediate piano solo encompasses several specific elements for intermediate pianists: syncopated rhythms, lush chords, fluid left-hand patterns, and a contemporary twist on a timeless hymn.My goal in creating this arrangement of This is My Father’s World was to have a reflective piano solo for worship with a modern flair. There are colorful chord choices as well as light syncopation which gives this hymn an easy-listening feel. For church services, recitals, and spring/summer music events, This is My Father’s World intermediate piano sheet music solo will capture the listeners and cause them to ponder.Similar in level to most Level 4 piano curricula and ABRSM Level 4.The basic format of This is My Father’s World intermediate piano solo is: introduction, verse, interlude, verse/â€chorus,†interlude/modulation, verse/â€chorus,†ending.6 pages. Keys of C major and D major.Approx. 3:15 performance time. Musical Elements In This is My Father’s World Intermediate Piano Solo Sheet Music Keys of C major, D major Time signature: 4/4 Tempo: begins faster then shifts slower Note values: whole notes, dotted half notes, half notes, dotted quarter notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes Note reading: right hand treble clef F3 to D6, left hand bass clef C2 to G4 and treble clef F3 to B4 Ledger lines (up to 3 lines) Grace notes Ties for syncopation Left hand in treble clef Left hand features similar patterns No harmonic octaves Fermata 8va Practice Tips for This is My Father’s World Piano Solo It is a good idea to treat this arrangement artistically. While the first page is a faster tempo, be sure to take your time on any held notes (you can add fermatas where there are none and it sounds great).Once the left hand arpeggios/broken chords come into play, think about playing with depth and not rushing the tempo. One trick I particularly like to do is hold the first note in a chord briefly longer than the rest. This is important for measure 36 where the right hand has a jump of 2 octaves.

Piano Solo - Easy/Beginner - Digital Download Composed by Louis Landon. 21st Century, New Age. Sheet Music Single. 4 pages. Published by Landon Creative, Inc.
Healing Hearts 3
Louis Landon
2016 / Landon Creative, Inc.
63 minutes
Review by Kathy Parsons
Louis Landon’s Healing Hearts 3 is the third in a series of solo piano albums that are comprised of improvisations that were created while clients were in session at his Healing Piano of Sedona (AZ). These sixty-minute healing and music sessions consist of forty minutes of mentoring and twenty minutes of music that includes personalized music for the client’s own use. Landon created Healing Piano of Sedona several years ago to help people live life joyously, passionately, and stress- and disease-free. Landon is a Steinway Artist who has been a life-long musician. Healing Hearts 3 is his twenty-first album and fourteenth solo piano collection. Each of the thirteen pieces on the album was inspired by a different “soul journey,” so the music is quite varied although it maintains a very calming and peaceful vibe throughout.

It is interesting to note that Healing Hearts 3 has the closest to the ideal sound Landon has been looking for on his recordings. He attributes that achievement to the mastering and editing expertise of Joe Bongiorno of Piano Haven Studio, also in Sedona. Landon has been trying to get the sound of a classical concert hall in his Peace Palace studio recordings and this album definitely has that sound, which is exceptionally beautiful - clear, warm and resonant.

Healing Hearts 3 begins with “Standing In the Light,” a softly flowing piece with a poignant melody that gently soothes the heart - a favorite. “Heart Song” is hushed, intimate and obviously very personal. “Triumph of the Soul” starts out in the deep bass of the piano - very dark and lost. As the piece evolves, it gradually lightens as it moves up the piano keyboard, ending in a very positive place. I’ve often said that the piano is the best instrument to express the sound and feeling of rain and “Night Rain” proves that point again. More energetic than most of the other tracks, the notes flow freely: sometimes smoothly and evenly, sometimes more percussive like big fat raindrops - love it! “Tears” is heartbreak set to music, although tears are so often a big part of the healing process. Such deep emotion is expressed in this piece! Landon wisely follows sadness with “Happy Man,” a lively slice of pianistic sunshine. “Phoenix Rising” begins in the deep bass of the piano, obviously signifying a very dark place or crisis. Over the course of the composition, there is turmoil and pain, but then Landon gradually moves the piece into the upper end of the piano to a much lighter and more peaceful place - a stunning piece! “Healing Time” is gently uplifting and so soothing and serene that I can actually feel it melting away tension - another favorite. “Music Runs Through Me” flows quickly like a stream with sparkles of sunlight dancing happily on its surface. “Balance” returns to a calm stillness that comes when things/life are in balance. Slow, lyrical and very peaceful, it’s the perfect closing for another great album from Louis Landon!

I have thoroughly enjoyed all three Healing Hearts albums, but I think #3 is my favorite. It is available from LouisLandon.com, Amazon, iTunes and CD Baby. Very highly recommended!
November 4, 2016

Recorded at The Peace Palace, Sedona, AZ, from November 2015 to February 2016. on a Steinway B.

Music mastering: Joe Bongiorno at Piano Haven Studio, Sedona, AZ

Louis Landon is a composer and Steinway artist. Formerly of New York and currently living in Sedona, Arizona, Louis has dedicated his life to music. His career has taken him around the world playing a variety of styles with some of the most recognized names in the entertainment industry. He toured nationally and internationally, playing classical music for Mikhail Baryshnikov; jazz fusion with The John Payne Band; Latin music with "Pucho and his Latin Soul Brothers”; pop music with Rupert "Pina Colada Song" Holmes; and rock & roll with John Hall, opening for "Little Feat”.

Louis began playing the piano by ear at 4 years old and began lessons at 5. As a teenager, he played guitar and keyboard in bands and went on to study music at Stony Brook University, Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music.

For the past 30 years, through his production company, Landon Music Company, Louis has written and produced music for film, video, and commercials. He recorded his first original album, Love Songs & Jazz, in 1994 and has since released 38 Albums/CDs on the LCI Record label. His latest, entitled Provocative Piano, was released on January 29, 2021. The Arban Manual is a complete course that takes you through the Arban Method in 69 well organized lessons. You will need The Arban Method to use this course. Each lesson is a balanced day of practice. This version is for the older Carl Fischer Arban Method.

Description
The Arban Manual is a complete course that takes you through the Arban Method in 69 well organized lessons. You will need The Arban Method to use this course. Each lesson is a balanced day of practice.
Why
Arban’s Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet andArban’s Famous Method for Trombone have been two of the most widely used brass books for over 100 years. The Arban Manual is simply a guide in how to practice Arban. The Arban Manual will take you step by step through the entire Arban method. The Arban Manual is not a technique book and the practice advice should work well with most brass methodology.

How
A minimum of one week should be spent on each lesson, although many choose to spend longer. If you are having trouble with one part of a lesson, you may wish to spend more time on that part. Most lessons are divided into six parts that should be practiced in the prescribed order. It is recommended that you rest between each part and try to spread your practicing throughout the day as best you can.

Range Considerations
Students who are ready to play from Arban should have a “usable range” up to A (concert G). Many of the easy studies do go this high. Although there are not many really high notes in Arbanby today’s standards, some of the studies can be quite taxing. An example of this is the interval studies on p. 126-129.
If you are not able to reach the highest keys at first, go as far you can comfortably, be sure to rest properly, and try to go further the next day. Remember, you will likely play from Arban in one way or another for most of your life, so don’t rush your progress.

Warming Up
One of the shortcomings of Arban is the lack of solid warm up material. Part I of each lesson is designed to be a warm up. Some teachers and students may find this inadequate for a warm up. Therefore, feel free to supplement the lesson plan with a warm up of your choosing. After your warm up, continue with Part I of the lesson.

Performance Etudes
I’ve designated some of the more melodic and well balanced etudes as “performance etudes”. These can be used for auditions or recitals and should be prepared for that purpose. Some teachers or students may have other favorite etudes that they may choose to use for the purpose of performance.

All of the characteristic studies and celebrated fantaisies are considered performance pieces.

Models
Models are different ways of playing an exercise. Many modelsinvolve using different articulations on a given exercise. Arban’suse of models is not extensive so I have chosen to expand on it, giving the student even more practice material. All models must be practiced thoroughly as prescribed in the lessons.

The Hard Stuff
At some point in your study of Arban you may come across something that you just can’t play, or play at tempo. This often involves triple or double tonguing. Don’t let this discourage you. Practice it diligently and slowly. You may want to stay with it for more than one lesson. After practicing the difficult etude for at least a month, make a note of it and return to it later. Brass playing is a lifetime commitment and you should continue to grow throughout your playing career. Many of the world’s top players can’t play everything in the Arban book.

Multiple Tonguing
Selecting the best syllables for multiple tonguing is often a problem for brass players and teachers. Although Arbanrecommends “tu ku”, many have had success using “tuh kuh”, “duh guh”, “tee kee” and many others. Finding your best syllables may take some experimentation.

Extending Exercises
Beginning with Lesson 44, some of the exercises are reviewed and extended. This is to provide more upper range work, more key work and different models.

Transposition
Beginning with Lesson 47, exercises are suggested to be transposed for trumpets in different keys. These are the most common transpositions and are only to provide the trumpet player with some basic transposition skills. Bass clef instruments need to substitute other material here such as clef practice.
The first transposition is for C trumpet which is useful for reading music in concert pitch. The second transposition is for Ab trumpet which is useful if you play a C trumpet and want to read a Bb part.

Songs and duets
Some teachers love these and others don’t. I suggest you try them and if you’d like to supplement other pieces that you need to work on, please feel free to do so.

For bass clef instruments
Although the page numbering is different, the exercises in the bass clef edition are numbered the same as the trumpet edition, therefore making The Arban Manual viable for bass clef instruments.

The songs and duets have been left out of the early bass clef version of Arban, although there is now a new version that does include them. Feel free to supplement music of your choice. Some of the articulations and models may not be practical for slide trombone.

The Arban Manual is a complete course that takes you through the Arban Method in 69 well organized lessons. You will need The Arban Method to use this course. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.835250 Composed by Claudio Porstmann. Baroque,Classical,Romantic Period,Standards,World. Score. 5 pages. Claudio Porstmann #5718861. Published by Claudio Porstmann (A0.835250). An original composition, a little tongue in cheek. As the title suggests, there is an element of time travel here...In my case, the composition starts off in a style similar to Bach, then as we go into the future, slowly changes to something Mozart could have written, to end off with the piece sounding as if it were by Beethoven, while all the time maintaining melodic and harmonic integrity. Give this one a try, it's fun and not all that hard..

This easy arrangement of Elvis Presley's relaxed and charming "Love Me Tender" (set to the music of Aura Lee) not only suits novice players, but also generates a lovely sound, mixing the sustain of the flute with an almost rag-time fingerpicking guitar accompaniment.

The use of a "swinging thumb" in the guitar part makes it easy to bring out a slowly ascending and descending chromatic middle voice, adding yet more interest to this well-known tune.

The guitar music has chord symbols and chord names as well as conventional notation.

Ideal for those just starting out in the world of music...

She doesn't walk, she floats with extreme elegance across the street, and in the corner, she doesn't turn – she spins and swirls with heavenly grace.

Evocation VI – The Far

Longing. Eternally. I hope you've read my letters. I hope you've heard my calls. I opened my heart to you. Why do you take so long? Why can't I hear your voice? Why do you keep me waiting here. Here, so close, yet... so far... alone... forever...

Evocation VII – The Queen of Spades

The dark lady is the strongest in the deck. Mystical, fantastic, she wanders like a shadow in your world. Across the garden, carrying a sickle, she's just waiting to chop a head on the next turn.

Evocation VIII – The Poem

A book, a sonnet. Fourteen verses with rigorous metric, with a defined purpose. A parlor game, a riddle. Can you guess what's hidden inside these wondrous sounds?

Evocation IX – The Thinker

A desk loaded with books. The glasses. A mind always working, methodic, cold, rigorous. Numbers, hidden relationships, an everlasting connection with the abstraction.

Evocation X – The Island of the Hydrangeas.

A paradise on earth, smooth rain, narrow and sinuous roads. Walking, then biking, then driving around. An adventure in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Evocation XI – The Near

When you're here everything will be beautiful. I can see it already in my head, the endless, passionate love, a tender sweet kiss that will last forever. Your lips on mine, while holding hands, in the bench, in the garden, under the tree. You are the one.

Evocation XII –Saffron rice

The rice is golden like your hair and your class. The sweet taste of nobility, the craft ofwisdom, the delicacy of experience. Maturity is what time brings, it is not a curse, it is a gift that we should embrace and respect.

Flute,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549725 Composed by Gabriel Faure. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Contemporary,Multicultural,Romantic Period,Standards,World. Score and part. 22 pages. Jmsgu3 #3531379. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549725). Duration: ca. 7:00, Score: 12 pages, solo part: 2 pages, piano: 7 pages. An epic choice for a recital or funeral. Fauré Background: In the first place, Gabriel Fauré 1845 –1924) was a famous French composer, musician, and educator. Furthermore, his musical ideas influenced numerous 20th-century composers. Therefore, historians regard him as one of the leading French composers of his time. Famous Works: Among his most famous compositions, by and large, are the Pavane, Elegie (op. 24), Requiem, Sicilienne, Nocturnes for piano and the songs Après un rêve and Clair de lune. Inasmuch as his early works are well-known and relatively easy to perform, Faure’s music seems to have become gradually more difficult during his later life. In other words, his later works are somewhat esoteric and complex. Early Home Life: Fauré was in fact born into a well-cultivated family. His aptitude for music became particularly clear early on - when he was still a boy. Under these circumstances, his parents sent him to a music institution in Paris. Consequently, the training he received there prepared him for a career as a church organist and choirmaster. Middle Life: It is important to realize that Fauré studied music composition with the French musical mastermind Camille Saint-Saëns, who became his lifelong friend. Fauré eventually graduated from college and earned a living as an organist and educator. During this period, he had, on the whole, little time to compose. He consequently became more successful in his middle age, becoming organist of the Église de la Madeleine and director of the Paris Conservatoire. However, he still needed time on balance for composing. Therefore, given these points, he withdrew to the countryside during the summer to focus on composing. Later Life: Fauré was, in the final analysis, recognized in France as the foremost French composer of his time. The French government held a national musical tribute particularly for him in Paris. The French President notably headed the ceremony. Elsewhere, on the contrary, Fauré's music was slow to become accepted, except of course, in England. Legacy: Historians often describe Fauré's music in general as a transition between the end of Romanticism and the beginning of modernism. As an illustration, when Fauré was born, Chopin was still composing. However, by the time of Fauré's death, jazz and atonal music, in particular, had come to fruition. Fauré, by all means, suffered from increasing deafness in his later years. Some musicologists believe this to be indeed the cause of the esoteric nature of Faure’s final works.

Piano,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549723 Composed by Gabriel Faure. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Contemporary,Multicultural,Romantic Period,Standards,World. 22 pages. Jmsgu3 #3531355. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549723). Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1264987 Composed by Giuseppe Rastelli, Gorni Kramer, and Mario Panzeri. Arranged by Bacco Baccanels and Pasquale Amico. A Cappella,Jazz,Multicultural,World. Octavo. 8 pages. Bacco Baccanels #857827. Published by Bacco Baccanels (A0.1264987). SAATBB version of the great song by Gorni Kramer.STBB voices follow a simple arrangement: Soprano does the main melody and Tenor, Baritone and Bass do accompaniment: an easy bass line and two voices for the chords.Baritone and Bass often play upbeat in the first bars of most of the phrases (pretending to be guitars or trumpets) and turn to straight beat in the final measures.Tempo is fast, thus singing those upbeat at the right speed can be challenging: bear in mind slowing them down produces a global weakening of the entire song: I suggest Tenor2 and Baritone drink some coffee before singing...SAA voices, (Soprano, the lead, Alto and Contralto the other), come from a Pasquale Amico (thank You!) arrangement and make a very good melody harmonisation. To add movement to an otherwise great and funny but simple structure, I added few bars to the original work, starting from bar 79 (F mark); here, pay attention to sing in sync, since the section is very rhythmic. Some background information about the song: written in 1939 under the fascist regime, Kramer was accused of making fun of the fascist hierarch Achille Starace, who used to walk upright in a black shirt, arousing the hilarity of the population. The song thus had to face the censorship of the regime, given that the allusion appeared quite clear. Many years after the composition, Gorni Kramer declared that the piece was inspired not by Starace but by the maestro Pippo Barzizza, with whom, in 1939, Kramer had had an argument during a performance at the Kursaal in Viareggio.

Published by Stephen Rockey (A0.761053). An original composition written for my very good friend in 2008, for euphonium and British Brass Band. Opening with an original choral, most of what follows is derived from this. In the faster section, there is a short motif that contrasts the slow moving material, driving forward towards the end. The piece is not easy, for the band or the soloist. My friend requested a piece that was both melodic, difficult, but also pleasant to listen to.
