Jazz Combo - Digital Download SKU: A0.979644 Composed by Roger Aldridge. Jazz,Latin. Score and parts. 1 pages. Roger Aldridge #432855. Published by Roger Aldridge (A0.979644). This is a peaceful bossa nova that is dedicated to Carla Bley, one of my favorite jazz composers. It is a fairly simple tune. Harmonically, it is built around D9 sus4 and Dm7 (b5) chords. I stumbled upon this pattern one day as I was playing piano. I immediately liked the feeling it creates and the shift in harmonic color (between implied Dorian and Locrian modes). This is the only tune of mine that uses it. The measure of 5/4 coming unexpectedly gives a push to the tune's momentum. As I worked on this tune I thought about having another section, but nothing clicked. I came to the conclusion that the music said everything it wanted to say in 18 bars. String Ensemble,String Trio - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576736 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 7 pages. David Warin Solomons #119391. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576736). Mysterious piece in octatonic mode, originally written for the short story The Door The pdf file contains score and parts. The sound sample is an electronic preview. High up on the grassy hill behind the town there is a door. It stands there in its frame with nothing before or behind it. It is locked shut. There is no key. We climb the hill each day. We play each side of the door, games of hide and seek. But we cannot go through the door. Each day we go there during this long sultry summer holiday. We are fascinated by the structure. Why would anyone put a door up there, in its frame, eternally locked, with nothing before or behind it? Maybe it is all that remains of an ancient house? We play, we wonder, we laugh and play, and we return regularly to our homes in time for tea. Then, one day, as we climb the hill for the umpteenth time, a lady dressed in white arrives before us. We watch her take the key out of her bag and insert it in the lock. We are too far downhill to catch up before she closes the door behind her. As we arrive, puffing and panting, Steve knocks on the door. No answer. Dave knocks on the door more forcefully. We hear a distant swish of robes. Gloria knocks, perhaps a little more timidly as the swishing sound approaches. Estelle begins to knock in her turn and the door suddenly opens wide. We all gasp as we see the lady standing there in glistening robes. Her face is hidden from view by a white shawl, but her piercing eyes still show. Children, she says, welcome all. Do come in, please, the kettle is on. You are just in time for tea. We hesitate, as well we might. How can we come in when there is nothing before or behind the door? But Estelle puts one foot inside and looks back at us with a curious expression of serenity on her face. We follow her. We look around at the new space beyond the door and at the parquet floor beneath our dew-soaked feet. As our eyes become accustomed to the brightness of the interior we catch sight of many signs of the world we have entered, but only fleetingly. They pass before our eyes in an instant and then flee beyond the range of sight. There is a staircase, a hat stand, a distant gleam of an ancient cooker, a faint whiff of scones and boiling jam. As we walk inside, our senses are overwhelmed with the new reality, we are rooted to the spot. Do please sit down, says the lady with a slight catch in her throat. We are seated on wooden chairs along one side of an oak table, although we cannot recall how we got there, some slip of the memory perhaps. We have no sense of foreboding, Estelle's serenity has passed to all of us. We can stay here eating scones and jam until the end of time. The lady removes her shawl and reveals a face as beautiful as anyone's mother's. Her deep black eyes glisten like obsidian. She beams a smile of welcome and pours the tea. I'm glad you have come. I've been expecting you, she begins. You must have a thousand questions, so do please ask away. Well, says Steve, what is this door that we passed through? Is this another world? There is no other world, the lady replies, this is the only one. But there is! There is! starts Dave excitedly, Look!. He gets up quickly from the chair, knocking it over in his haste and rushes to the door to open it. He pulls at it with all his force and reveals a black nothingness behind it. We were on the hill, where's it gone? he shouts, what have you done to it? There is no hill. But you climbed the hill in front of us says Gloria. There is no hill. Even Estelle of the serene demeanour is beginning to look worried. How did we get here then, how did you get here, she asks the lady nervously. We have all been here since the beginning of time, the catch in the lady's throat is becoming more evident. No, we have our families down there in the town cries Estelle You have no families,.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987080 Composed by Eric Paul Nolte.…

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987080 Composed by Eric Paul Nolte. Contemporary. Score. 12 pages. Eric Paul Nolte #566749. Published by Eric Paul Nolte (A0.987080). This piece is one of an album of my contemporary classical compositions. Yes, I too wince at offering you something saddled with this oxymoron--contemporary classical--but this phrase is now an irresistible, commercially recognized category defying any principled protest from the ranks of wounded musicological curmudgeons like me. The style here employs a tonal palette that celebrates the more or less common practice of composers from J. S. Bach to Ravel, Prokofiev, and the 20th century American songbook. You will see that I reject Arnold Schoenberg's assertion that by 1910 tonality had exhausted itself, and needed to be reinvented according to an aesthetics that dismiss our scales and harmonies as purely arbitrary human conventions with no basis in nature. On the contrary, I believe that we are endowed by our nature to respond emotionally to our traditional materials of music in the same way as nature equips us to respond to the taste of food and drink. We differ in our taste for savory, sweet, and sour, but it is wrong to say that our very capacity to taste is a merely cultural convention. There is biology, and then physics too! By the same standard, it can't be true that one person's taste for arsenic is as valid as another's taste for beer or kumquats. The major triad is a force of nature, like the sun, wind, and rain! I also like big fat juicy 13 chords, and contrapuntal weaving of melody! I believe the purpose of music is to sway us emotionally, and if it can uplift us too, so much the better! While I am not ashamed to write a bare triad, unadorned by chromatic alterations (much less by clusters of chord collisions) I have nevertheless employed much complicated harmony. Moreover, some passages are written in a spiky harmony that might be analyzed as bitonal, as at the meno mosso section, beginning at measure 112, where the mood I wanted to set inspired me to write the theme in C minor while the left hand climbs up from the bottom of the keyboard in a widely spaced, D-flat 13 arpeggio. I have composed these pieces with the skills of intermediate to early-advanced pianists in mind. This piece demands the ability to play some counterpoint between two voices in one hand. There is a section that requires one to play moderately fast octaves, but nothing as difficult as the G minor Prelude of Chopin (to say nothing of his harrowing octave Etude from Opus 25!) While there are many polyrhythmic passages, none is more complicated than two-against-three notes. All said, there is nothing here to make your hands (or, I dare say, your ears) bleed. The performing time is around nine minutes and a breath or three. I have a number of videos posted on YouTube.com, I have a website under construction, ericpaulnolte.com, and, since 2011, an occasional blog of my ravings on life, love, and the cosmos, at ericpaulnolte.blogspot.com. You may write me at nolte0125@gmail.com.

While I wait for sunsets I look at the sun and horizons And breathe freedom and my immortality Desire for the infinite, Who has not ever tried ? That need to know that the stronger we are Invincible and powerful without the burden of age Over the centuries and the millennia Always gorgeous 20 years old And then dance To the rhythm of the Vampire Do you feel my breath Let us give this eternal night And then dance The senses amplified sharp teeth let's see who can stop us around the fire like wolves, red eyes, a bit 'fierce, we move in packs, invisible and fast , we are thieves thoughts ,so forgotten who you were or roots or ties ,no land limits And then dance To the rhythm of the Vampire Do you feel my breath Let us give this eternal night And then dance The senses amplified sharp teeth let's see who can stop us The mania destroys Hunger afflicts us But it will not be the food that will satisfy Torments and regrets, sad feelings, Nightime falling erase them We are shadows at night ,The heart that no beats We languid slaves the Voodoo rituals The pale faces, The ambiguous smiles Put the cross, you will not need Strange characters So wild and free ,But in this society ,Nothing scarier ago I donate my blood every day to The state or the government the Vampires are we ,There are monsters and vultures Those imprisoned vampires, In the faded pages Elegant, charming, So beautiful and in high places and in they I recognize that mania that is also mine My hunger to know ,With food can not be satisfied And then dance ,And crossing that border Now there is an end to what I can imagine And then dance, I sad renegade I lost soul, Who do not know who to give my heart And then dance ,If you are not anyone ,If you lost in the journey You can not find a post to be filled Look in the mirror You can see my reflection? Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.874151 Composed by Mary Rose Jensen. Christian,Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards. Octavo. 12 pages. Garden Rose Music #5991027. Published by Garden Rose Music (A0.874151). Christmas SATB Choral Anthem with Organ Accompaniment. Text follows:What happened in Bethlehem changes the world.A baby born there seemed like millions before. His mother was Mary, a virgin, still pure. His Father was God, the Creator, the Lord. His birthplace, a town unimportant and small. His shelter, a stable for animals there. His bed was a trough where those beasts had been fedAnd plain strips of cloth were what He had to wear. What happened in Bethlehem changes the world. The King of the universe lived here on earth.Though He was far richer than anyone elseHe chose to be humble and poor in His birth. He’d cared for His people for thousands of years,But they had rebelled and rejected His ways.Instead of harsh punishment richly deserved,His promised redemption would soon be in place. What happened in Bethlehem changes the world.God’s Word in the flesh made the prophecies clear. He called for the people to come follow HimAnd preached that the kingdom of heaven was near. This kingdom was nothing like any on earth,Not weapons, but sacrifice caused it to spread. For Jesus the sinless One died for our crimesAnd gave us new life when He rose from the dead. What happened in Bethlehem changes the world. The people of God are still following Christ. And though we forget Him and stumble aroundHe picks us up safely and gives us His light. The woes of our planet, with hunger and warsAre lessened by those who will love as He said. For those who seek heaven bring grace to the earthAnd those who love Jesus will rise from the dead.

Sharon Wilson #959316. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.1374785). Beginner Piano SolosMiddle C PositionFive-Finger formatThis is a collection of 20 hymns and spirituals arranged for beginning piano students. These arrangements are formatted in the traditional five-finger style with the melody split between the hands and without key signatures.  All 20 songs are written in Middle C Position where all notes are played singly centered around Middle C (diagrams are provided showing notes and finger placement). No fingering is notated on the sheet music to encourage students to learn to read the notes instead of using the fingering numbers to play the song. Thus, this collection makes a great sight-reading book, especially if some of the songs are unfamiliar. Some songs require playing the B-flat note in the left hand or the F-sharp note in the right hand. For the few songs that use one of these two black notes, the flats or sharps are displayed beside the note on the staff, not in the key signature (special diagrams are provided showing finger placement for the sharps and flats used). These arrangements are perfect for introducing classic Christian songs to beginning pianists. They can be used as supplementary repertoire for first year piano students. Lyrics are included for sing-along enjoyment.Song titles included in this collection:   A Mighty FortressAlleluia! Marimba Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.819887 By Anderson Matos. By Anderson Matos. Instructional,Multicultural,New Age,Renaissance,Romantic Period,World. Individual part. 3 pages. Anderson M. Matos #424836. Published by Anderson M. Matos (A0.819887). Hello everyone.. after a few weeks, the video of my project is finished, which involves around 25 people from different parts of the world, together now for just 1 objective.. peace in the world, not war, and peace in Ukraine.🇺🇦🙠I would first like to thank Kana Omori , for being the first to accept the invitation to play in my project and for being the full support in this project, I would also like to thank all the musicians, speakers participants.. really... it was not easy to edit everything.. even more so because I let each guest perform their own free performance (I'm glad there wasn't much difference in tempo) I left this part free because I wanted to express that even though we are different from each other, being in different countries, different instruments, religion, ethnicity, sexuality.. we are all the same when we play the same music... there is nothing more important at this moment than doing what we love, which is playing music and we can bring peace, love and affection to those who watch us playing... this is gratifying.
