An arrangement of the famous Smoke on the Water for Concert/Wind Band.Smoke on the Water is a song by English rock band Deep Purple, released on their 1972 studio album Machine Head. The song's lyrics are based on true events, chronicling the 1971 fire at Montreux Casino. It is considered the band's signature song and contains one of the most recognizable guitar riffs in rock history.In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine placed Smoke on the Water number 434 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Total Guitar magazine ranked the song's riff number 4 on its Greatest Guitar Riffs Ever list, and in March 2005, Q magazine placed it at number 12 in its list of the 100 greatest guitar tracks.Smoke on the Water is easily identified by its central theme, developed by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. It is a four-note blues scale melody in G minor,[8] harmonised in parallel fourths. The riff, played on a Fender Stratocaster electric guitar by Blackmore, is later joined by hi-hat and distorted organ, then the rest of the drums, then electric bass parts before the start of Ian Gillan's vocal.Blackmore later claimed that the main riff is an interpretation of inversion of Symphony No. 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven, and that I owe him a lot of money.Jon Lord doubles the guitar part on a Hammond C3 organ played through a distorted Marshall amp, creating a tone very similar to that of the guitar. Blackmore usually plays the main riff using a finger pluck.The lyrics tell a true story: on 4 December 1971, Deep Purple were in Montreux, Switzerland, to record an album (Machine Head) using a mobile recording studio (rented from the Rolling Stones and known as the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio—referred to as the Rolling truck Stones thing and a mobile in the lyrics) at the entertainment complex that was part of the Montreux Casino (referred to as the gambling house in the song lyric).

Legend has it that this old tune was discovered written on a scrap of paper found in a bottle which washed up on a beach in North Wales around 1900; its Welsh nickname Ton-y-Botel (Tune in a Bottle) comes from this story. The melody is also known as Ebenezer, named for Ebenezer Chapel where the actual composer attended services while writing this tune. Lyrics in sacred and secular contexts alike have been set to this famous melody. This dramatic piece begins with the arranger's original music rising in a theme accompanied by triplets, then moves into the powerful Welsh tune itself which in this creative arrangement is tossed from voice to voice, hand to hand. A strong sense of the love of Jesus rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me as well as a tender confidence in it underneath me, all around me, is the current of thy love are the lingering emotions one feels as the same original music closes the piece with an impression of wonder. Some fingerings are included to facilitate reading but are merely suggestions. Pedaling has been written in, but again, is a suggestion. Because of its history, this music is adaptable to almost any circumstance, secular or sacred, where people gather for meaningful events: civic or military ceremonies, graduations, memorials, weddings, or church services of any denomination.

They are all published by Amazon. And the third part, Op.47c, is this Symphony in A flat major 'Phoenix' in 5 movements [62 minutes] The first two parts of the Symphonic Concert No.2 were premiered in Beijing by the China Youth Symphony Orchestra in 1997. However, the composing of the third part has been delayed. The reason is the author's Chinese heart: for thousands of years, the word deep disaster has been following this nation, but, however, the Chinese finally rise in the east of the world from the deadly dark. How can the composer present this symphony in the most appropriate form, and bring blessings to the world? Until the idea of Phoenix sigh inspired the author's rolling music. As a result, the structure of the entire symphony is: a total of five movements, the order is: 1.-ESSENCE ç²¾ Andante con molto 2.-SPIRIT æ°? Allegro assai 3.-DIVINITY ç¥? Larghetto 4.-PEACE å?? Vivo 5.-REVIVAL è?¾é£? Allegro assai con brio The fifth movement of this symphony, Revival, is the end of the entire Symphonic Concert No. 2. Its Phoenixâ??s Flame of Fire symbolizes the composer's powerful belief in the whole composition: Defeat death to obtain the eternal life. This point has a distinct manifestation in this final movement: from the beginning of the world turmoil to the evolution of the huge contrast of the brilliant chorus of the Phoenix; from the disaster making the Phoenix smashes into the fire of hell from the high heaven; its shocking description of self-immolation to the sound of the resurrection and the vitality of the folk instruments which simulate the voice of life from afar; and from the brilliant fire of the phoenix soars to the sky with roar of the organ at the end. The themes of all of the previous music are also interrelated. All of the players join the forces to create the powerful music that The Chinese symphony has never been sounded like this before, and it is all about achieving a brilliant future, the critic said in Peopleâ??s Music, the major music magazine in China, 2009.

The First Movement, Atmospheres, is a beautiful tranquil setting in the key of C major while the beauty portrays the humidity. The opener contains an A minor to a C7 Chord progression followed by the main theme as a way to express the breeze blowing around you.The Second Movement, is a dance like movement of the scene while people are strolling in Paradise. The Key signature contrast is from D minor to D major and then to D minor once again. The last two movements are in the Key of F major. The third movement displays of what it is like to chill out in the sunlight. This deeply moving ballad is so beautiful and will portray the longest movement of the piece. The last and fourth movement is a 6/8 Dance of getting yourself exposed to the sunlight. This score contains 49 pages and is 20 minutes long in 4 separate movements.

The First Movement, Atmospheres, is a beautiful tranquil setting in the key of C major while the beauty portrays the humidity. The Second Movement, is a dance like movement of the scene while people are strolling in Paradise. The Key signature contrast is from D minor to D major and then to D minor once again. The last two movements are in the Key of F major. The third movement displays of what it is like to chill out in the sunlight. This deeply moving ballad is so beautiful and will portray the longest movement of the piece. The last and fourth movement is a 6/8 Dance of getting yourself exposed to the sunlight.The 2nd Tenor Trombone Part is 5 pages long and is listed in the following movements.
