The songs look at each beloved relative as seen through the prism of the author’s caring eyes and heart. Rooted in moody Dorian mode, the lyrical melodies of R. My brother died suddenly in 2011 at the age of 42. He left all of us behind including his daughters, my nieces, when they were ages six years and six months. My father and mother died a short time later, within months of each other in 2013 and 2014. Finally, in 2017 my 27-year-old nephew died of a drug overdose. This intense period of loss brought and continues to bring about many feelings of regret in addition to so much more. When my nephew died, my son Jonah, developed an intense anxiety about losing us, his parents. I felt compelled to express my feelings, the fear of my own mortality, the anxiety of leaving behind loved ones, combined with words said and unsaid to those lost. “Love letters†is my gift to the six young people I care most about. Then one day when Romeo must text his Julietta just to say I luv ya yeah I luv ya so much but then she rings back to tell him that it's all over she's met a nicer lad from Folkestone or Dover (It's all over it's all over lad from Dover) so he just rings to all of his pals and calls her a slag! and all the people on the tram hear the show while our pretty city folk live all on their mobile then suddenly the battery's flat as a skate and Romeo can not ring his mate he's sorry that he called her slag in spring time he can't ring her he can't ring his Julietta sorry now in spring.

Published by Will Corbin (A0.1459173). Mexican songwriter Consuelo Velazquez wrote Besame Mucho, words and music, in 1941. When she died in 2005, The New York Times said this of the song in her obituary: 'Bésame Mucho' is not so much an enduring standard as a global phenomenon. Translated into dozens of languages and performed by hundreds of artists, the song has been an emblem of Latin identity, an anthem of lovers separated by World War II and perennial grist for lounge singers everywhere. Virtually every professional recording musician has covered it, from the Beatles to Placido Domingo. This arrangement borrows its 6/4 time signature (and not much more) from the 2001 recording by Maynard Ferguson and Diane Schuur. It's a little more accessible than Ferguson's screaming big band chart.This one is for two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba. If you need alternative instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. It is usually played by the instruments called Gamelan. Bali is an island in Indonesia rich with cultural traditions that are very much rooted in myths and legends. After understanding deeper of the legend of “Kebo Iwaâ€, I was so drawn to the character and the plot that I decided to tell the story in my piano composition. I was able to use different kinds of musical techniques to express different moods. One of them is to apply the Pentatonic ‘Balinese Pelog’ Scale in B flat Major, which represents the majority of the Gamelan sound that is usually transcribed into Western notations. Below is the synopsis the “L’amore di Kebo Iwaâ€. A Once upon a time, in Bali, there was a husband and a wife who dearly wanted to have a baby. They prayed to God for a very long time. Finally, God heard their prayers and blessed them with a baby boy. But there was something special about this baby boy: he was very big- a giant baby. They named him Kebo Iwa. Kebo Iwa grew up with a good heart and became a gentleman. He was a kind hearted giant; he protected the village dearly. One day, the King of Majapahit from Java wanted to conquer Bali. He had heard about Kebo Iwa and knew that his army would lose to Kebo Iwa. B Therefore, the King of Majapahit tricked Kebo Iwa. He invited Kebo Iwa to Java island, promising that he would arrange a wedding for Kebo Iwa to marry his daughter, the beautiful Majapahit princess. Kebo Iwa was so in love with the princess, so he happily travelled to Java island. C After he arrived in Java, the King of Majapahit asked a favour from Kebo Iwa to dig a well, with the reason for it being the dry season. Kebo Iwa then sincerely gave some help and started digging a big, giant well. D However, the King Majapahit never meant to deliver his promise to Kebo Iwa. Instead, the King Majapahit commanded the troops to cover the well with mud and boulders. But when Kebo Iwa realized, it was too late. He was already in the position that was far too deep below - at the bottom of the well. Kebo Iwa then cried loudly and sadly with a broken heart until his last breath. He was buried alive. The Trio in C Major, Op. 87 for Two Oboes and English horn is one of Beethoven’s greatest pieces of chamber music for wind instruments. Experienced oboists are sure to be familiar with this work, and likely have studied it and performed it many times. Beethoven wrote so beautifully and brilliantly for woodwinds. Audiences always love to hear it performed, and I never tire of performing or teaching it. Now, with my transcription for oboe, English horn, and bassoon, you can invite a bassoonist friend to join in the fun!This Finalemovement (the last of four movements) is technically challenging (but not toodifficult), and enjoyable to play and listen to, suitable for advanced studentsor professionals.
