String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.561515 Composed by NanPa hong. Arranged by Han-Ki Kim. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Country,Instructional. 26 pages. Han-Ki Kim #170953. Published by Han-Ki Kim (A0.561515). “Spring of Home Country†can be said to be a work of variation in a word, and it was composed with the theme of the melody of Nanpa Hong, who played an important role in spreading Western music in Korea in the early 1900s. The nursery rhyme “Spring of Home Country†was composed in 1929 and is a familiar melody to all Koreans, young and old. The content of the poem is about the beautiful and nostalgic nostalgia of the village where I lived as a child. Following the lively prelude in 4/4 time, first violin plays the theme in an atmosphere as if reading a poem, followed by the first variation composed of splendid dispersion chords. Variations 2 and 3 are played by intersecting the parts with “Jajinmori†and “Gutgeori,†which are unique Korean rhythms. In the 4th variation, the slow-expanded theme contrasts with the fast tones of the first violin up and down. Then, the 5th Variation of the Cadenza character is played, and the final 6th Variation of the majestic character and a short coda decorate the end. In this score, short sentences suitable for the musical situation were also written in the score, so that the performer could feel the Korean sentiment in a more concrete way. Atteched YouTube link is just for a reference. it is played by concerto form.

LONGING FOR THE SPRING BREEZE is a popular song in Taiwan composed by Yu-Hsien Teng (1906-1944) in 1933. It was arranged for string quartet by Diau-Hua Lim in 2000.The second violin shows the sweet theme under the accompaniment of cello's pizzicato after the introduction of the quartet. The first violin and the cello show the beautiful melody successively to complete the beginning phrase. Then the viola and the first violin enrich the music by changing the thematic melody and using delicate modulation. The work is highly praised everywhere.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808699 Composed by Alexander Borodin (1833–1887). Arranged by F. Leslie Smith. Film/TV,Holiday,Love,Musical/Show,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 49 pages. Sweetwater Brass Press #5209931. Published by Sweetwater Brass Press (A0.808699). Borodin wrote his String Quartet No. 2 in 1881. Sixty-five years later, the Charlie Spivak Orchestra recorded Spring Magic, a song credited to William Engvick, Bert Reisfeld and Alec Wilder, that used the theme of the quartet’s third movement for its melody. But the better known adaptation was created in 1953 when Robert Wright and George Forrest used it for And This Is My Beloved, a song for their Broadway highly successful musical Kismet. The song was subsequently recorded by a number of well known vocalists. Additionally, the quartet’s third-movement theme has been used in several other movies since then.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.521461 Composed by Vivaldi, Offenbach, Mozart, Mascagni, Gabriel-Marie, Cui, Rachmaninoff, Schubert. Arranged by Sherry Lewis. Baroque,Classical,Romantic Period,Wedding. 115 pages. Sherry Lewis Publishing #6092413. Published by Sherry Lewis Publishing (A0.521461). 'Cocktails Anyone?' is a set of 12 highly recognizable and enjoyed songs for the cocktail time. Intermediate Level String Quartet AUDIO: I randomly chose the first selection as an audio sample parts: 110+ pages time: Approx. 90 minutes Songs included in this set: Autumn, allegro movement - Vivaldi Barcarolle - Offenbach Concerto in D for 2 violins and lute, allegro - Vivaldi Eine Kleine Nacht Music, 1st Mov. - Mozart Intermezzo sinfonico - Mascagni La Cinquantaine - Gabriel-Marie Orientale - Cui Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini - Rachmaninoff Serenade - Schubert Spring, danza pastorale from the Four Seasons - Vivaldi The Swan - Saint Saëns Waves of the Danube (Anniversary Waltz) - Ivanovici  MY QUARTET VERSIONS, in short notice work fine for solo, two parts and three parts however I also offer individual versions for one, two and three parts that are more detailed for these ensembles. Please visit https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=sherry+lewis+publishing for all of the titles I offer. If you can’t find a title then contact me through stringquartet@hotmail.com and I’ll give you the link back to Sheet Music Plus’s listing. VERSATILE Titles that include four parts are written with the idea that they can be performed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 musicians. Most of the contemporary/popular titles include a chord chart for a bass instrument. PRACTICE needs would vary according to the level of the performers but my goal is to be sight-readable for most performers and groups. AUDIO SAMPLE The 30 second mp3 is frequently shortened and may not start at the introduction to get to the reprise. The actual introduction will be in the sheet music. LISTENABILITY I have performed thousands of weddings and special events. I make it a goal for the music to carry as well as possible through loud and large space situations. ARRANGEMENTS usually follow the original version. There is an mp3 where you can hear 30 seconds and get a feeling of the originality of the work. EXCELLENT for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings and recitals. APPROPRIATE for students and schools. CHURCH REPERTOIRE I’m always adding more titles. Thank you for your purchase!

Allegro con brio, II. Dichterisches Adagio, III. Andante cantabile, IV. Lebendiges Finale. The composer designed this piece to play continuously between sections and makes the composition a quasi-single-movement. Due to the continuity, the musical elements and compositional concepts are connected smoothly through out the piece. The vigorous pizzicato opens up the first movement of this piece, imitates the traditional Chinese Gong-and-Drum rhythmic patterns. The cello solo main theme flows in later and develop the music to the following sections. The second movement is inspired from the concept of poetry reading. It is the most intensive section and holds the greatest contrast of this piece. The third movement combines elements from the earlier movments and leads to the fourth movement, Lebendiges Finale. The musical ideas between these four movments of the composition are strongly revelent to each other. The musical content in a composition sets up the style for itself. Even under some restrictions of tradional musical forms, the composer tried to develop few new compositional ideas in order to achieve a new sphere of string quartet with this piece. String Quartet was commissioned by the Council for Cultural Affairs, finished in 1983, premiered on 4th of January 1985 in the National Taiwan University Student Activity Center. It was programed in the event A Night of Shui-Long Ma’s Chamber Music, held by Asian Composers’ League-Taiwan Section and NTU-Philharmonic Club. The premiered musicians were: Wei-Chung Chiang (Violin I), Chin-Kuei Hong (Violin II), Ming-Li Wu (Viola) and Wan-Ling Sun (Cello). The first edition of the score was published in 1987, and the second edition published in 2016.

Andrés Ballesteros (2011, ed. 2016; ASCAP)Letters from the War (2011) was commissioned by Jesse Suggs and the Northern Guilford Middle School Orchestra in the spring of 2010 and was written in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the American Civil War. The inspiration for the piece is drawn from a number of letters written by soldiers during the war. Some familiar tunes from that era are quoted throughout in keeping with the theme, and in the final movement, earlier parts of the piece are also quoted. Together these letters and the music depict the narrative of the war, from a building march and a mournful ballad to a joyous celebration and a triumphant finale. This piece is a 3-movement concert piece appropriate for advanced middle school or intermediate high school orchestras. The piece includes brief solos for viola and violin in the second movement.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813764 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Contemporary,Sacred,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 9 pages. Regis Bookshar #6476667. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813764). Thaxted (Bb) (Brass Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of Thaxted, a hymn tune based on the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for church services, especially Weddings and Funerals, but would be appropriate any time during the church year. However, if you are looking to perform this selection for concerts or recitals, I would suggest you look for the arrangement of Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets), also by Regis Bookshar. These arrangements are suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing these selections as well. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (9 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. We have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The Planets, written between 1914 and 1917 by the English composer Gustav Holst, premiered at the Queen's Hall in London, on September 29, 1918 for an invited audience of about 250 people. In the fourth movement, Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity, Holst portrays Jupiter's supposedly characteristic abundance of life and vitality. Nobility and generosity are allegedly characteristics of those born under Jupiter, and in the slower, middle section marked Andante Maestoso, perhaps the most well-known theme from The Planets (and the theme on which this arrangement is based), Holst provides a broad tune embodying these traits. In 1921, Holst adapted the theme to fit the patriotic poem I Vow to Thee, My Country by Cecil Spring Rice, and was written as a unison song with orchestra. It did not appear as the hymn tune until 1926, when Holst harmonized this melody, named Thaxted, named after the English village where he had lived for many years. Holst's friend Ralph Vaughan Williams included it in Songs of Praise. It has since been performed at numerous occasions, most notably for the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales in 1981, and also at the funerals of Princess Diana in 1997, Margaret Thatcher in 2013 and Senator John McCain where it was performed at the Washington National Cathedral on September 1, 2018. In addition to being used as the melody for the solemn, patriotic hymn I Vow to Thee, My Country, other settings of this hymn tune also include O God, Beyond All Praising, by Michael Perry in 1982, O Spirit All Embracing by Delores Dufner in 1995 and We Praise You and Acknowledge You, O God, a paraphrase of the Te Deum Laudemus by Stephen P. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a Brass Quintet, consisting of 2 Trumpets, 1 French Horn, 1 Trombone (which has the lead) and 1 Tuba, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. There are Quintets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Thaxted based on the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, will con.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813705 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 9 pages. Regis Bookshar #6474521. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813705). Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets) (Brass Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts and recitals but if you are considering using this selection for church services in which a congregation may sing along, I would suggest that you look for the arrangements of either I Vow to Thee, My Country, O God, Beyond All Praising, O Spirit All Embracing or Thaxted, also by Regis Bookshar. They are all based on the same excerpt from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a Brass Quintet, consisting of 2 Trumpets (one of which has the lead), 1 French Horn, 1 Trombone and 1 Tuba, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Jupiter bas.
