String Quartet, Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Rhythm Section (Lead sheet with drum set/bass notes) - Advanced - Digital Download By Jonas Brothers. Arranged by Kyle Pudenz. Lead Sheet, Set of Parts. 62 pages. Published by ViolinVagabond Music
If you're looking for another bland, soul-less transcription of a pop song for strings to collect dust in the back of your gig book while you idle away your hours providing background music behind the potted palm, this is NOT the arrangement you are looking for.<br> <br> However, if you are looking to liven up your ensemble's repertoire with a hip arrangement of the summer's biggest smash from the world's bubbliest boy band... then look no further: THIS is the tune you need to take your performance to the next level! This spicy new take on the Jonas Brothers' latest jam includes an extendable solo section (in case that wedding party is taking too long to make their appearance at cocktail hour), chopping grooves that will land your quartet securely "in the pocket," a couple slick reharminizations to keep the audience on the edge of their seats, and enough flashy licks to finally prove to all those naysaying guitar players that yes, string players can be real rockstars!!! <br> <br> That being said, if your ensemble is already forward-thinking enough to have brokered peace with those fret-loving, stick-twirling showboats that we know & love, this arrangement also includes an optional rhythm section lead sheet for performing with additional musicians. So whether you're striking up the band for a showcase, or simply providing the ambience for your next dinner party, reception, or corporate function, this arrangement has everything you need to keep your audience, and your ensemble, entertained.<br> <br> Performance time - 3:44 without vamping solos, 5:00 if you wanna take another round, or 9:35 if the head table starts yelling "Free Bird"<br> <br> Questions? Feel free to contact me via my website, www.kylepudenz.com/ or on the 'Insta @theviolinvagabond

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1092478 Composed by Francesco Durante. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Sacred. Score and parts. 7 pages. Regis Bookshar #696569. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1092478). Kyrie - by Francesco Durante; String Quartet – Intermediate – Digital Download. “Kyrieâ€, originally written for a four-part vocal ensemble by Francesco Durante, has now been transcribed, edited and arranged by Regis Bookshar, for a String Quartet, consisting of 2 Violins, 1 Viola and 1 Violoncello. It would be a welcomed addition to any music library. This short composition, which lasts less than two minutes, will provide students with the opportunity to continue to develop good intonation because many of the phrases cadence on a unison note. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services. It is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (7 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from the Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble’s extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. We have performed the Trumpet Quartet version of this composition for many church services, especially funerals, when we were asked to supply something more somber and introspective rather than the louder, more festive music which many people come to expect from a Trumpet Ensemble. Francesco Durante was an Italian composer who was born on March 31, 1684 at Frattamaggiore, in the Kingdom of Naples. At an early age he entered the Conservatorio dei poveri di Gesu Cristo, in Naples, where he received lessons from Gaetano Greco. Later he became a pupil of Alessandro Scarlatti at the Conservatorio di Sant’Onofrio. He is said to have succeeded Scarlatti in 1725 at Sant’Onofrio and to have remained there until 1742, when he succeeded Nicola Porpora as head of the Conservatorio di Santa Maria de Loreto, also in Naples. He held this post for thirteen years, until his death on September 30, 1755. His fame as a teacher was considerable, and, unlike his Neapolitan contemporaries, who attracted international notice with their operas, Francesco Durante achieved recognition through his church music, along with some vocal chamber and instrumental works. His concern was not quantity. A complete collection of Durante’s works, consisting almost exclusively of sacred music, was presented by Gaspare Selveggi, a Neapolitan art collector and music theorist, to the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. The imperial library of Vienna also preserves a valuable collection of Durante’s manuscripts. The fact that Durante never composed for the stage brought him an exaggerated reputation as a composer of sacred music. He was considered one of the best church composers of his style and period. In his masses, requiems, litanies and Lamentations, he could provide strong expressive moments, as he does in this “Kyrieâ€. In addition to this arrangement for a String Quartet, Regis Bookshar has also made other arrangements of this selection. There are Quartets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I’m certain that this beautiful arrangement of Francesco Durante’s “Kyrie†will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Beethoven: Bagatelle Op. 33 No. 5 for String Quartet

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1208520 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 – 1827). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Wedding. 15 pages. Jmsgu3 #806617. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1208520). 5. Allegro ma non troppo.Beethoven's Bagatelles Op. 33 are quite typical of his early style, retaining many compositional features of the early Classical period.  The first bagatelle in particular is arguably one of Beethoven's most well-known pieces. While they may seem light-hearted and not to be taken too seriously, they are still well-crafted works that embody the younger Beethoven's style. The Bagatelles Op. 33 were composed by Beethoven in 1801-02 and published in 1803. Bagatelles are shorter and less complex than sonatas, often consisting of a single movement. They were intended to be played as light entertainment or as encores at the end of a concert.Bagatelle No. 5 of Beethoven's Op. 33 is a short piece that showcases the composer's mastery of melody and harmony. The piece is in the key of C major and is written in a simple ternary form, with a lively and playful opening theme that is followed by a contrasting middle section in the homotonic key of C minor. The opening theme is characterized by its use of syncopation, which give it a lively and energetic feel. The middle section, on the other hand, is more introspective and lyrical, with a more subdued and melancholic mood. The piece ends with a return to the opening theme, which is now played in a surprising and forceful manner. Overall, Bagatelle No. 5 is a charming and delightful piece that showcases Beethoven's skill in creating memorable melodies and harmonies within a concise and compact form.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813570 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 13 pages. Regis Bookshar #6429291. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813570). Brass Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This arrangement of the Allegro movement from Henry Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services. It is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. This selection is one of the arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library, many of which are being made available for the first time. They have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The original composition was written in D Major but Regis Bookshar has transposed it to Bb Major, making it a little easier for many modern musicians. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (13 pages). The 17th century composer, Henry Purcell, is generally considered to be one of the greatest English composers of his generation. His Sonata for Trumpet and Strings in D Major, composed in 1694, was probably written for the London Theatre, where a fine tradition of trumpet playing had developed. Purcell almost certainly had in mind either John Shore or his brother, William, the most renowned trumpet players in England at the time. The trumpets of the time were normally tuned in D and there were no valves on the Baroque trumpets, so they were limited in the number of notes that they could play. The term Sonata here probably means no more than a piece of incidental music and looks forward to the style that would become the solo concerto where soloist and strings are pitted against each other but also looks back to an older type of instrumental music which emphasized equality between members of the ensemble. The music is in three movements and looks forward to the fast-slow-fast plan popularized by Vivaldi's concertos. Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists, besides trumpet players, could also have the opportunity to play the Allegro movement from Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet, so he has created other arrangements of this selection. This particular arrangement is for a Brass Octet, consisting of 3 Trumpets, 2 French Horns, 2 Trombones and 1 Tuba, and features the Tuba on the melody, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this piece. You may find something else that may suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check back periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Purcell's Allegro from his Sonata for Trumpet will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

This particular arrangement is for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 2 Trumpets, 1 French Horn, 2 Trombones and 1 Tuba, and features the French Horn on the melody, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles.

Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813578 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 10 pages. Regis Bookshar #6429777. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813578). Brass Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (10 pages). Brass Ensemble Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813573 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 8 pages. Regis Bookshar #6429767. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813573). Brass Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (8 pages). This particular arrangement is for a Brass Quintet, consisting of 2 Trumpets, 1 French Horn, 1 Trombone and 1 Tuba, and features a Trombone on the melody, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles.

Two Quartets for 2 violins, viola, and violoncello obbligato - Op. 12

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1197314 Composed by Justus Johann Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. 164 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #796478. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1197314). Dotzauer’s first attempt at a major form of chamber music comes in 1810, with his Op. 12. This is a couple of quartets for two violins, viola, and violoncello obbligato. One may think these are ordinary string quartets, where the first violin has all the fun and the other three players share the remaining bits, but one would be gravely mistaken. The clue for this is the dedication by Dotzauer to his teacher, Bernhard Romberg. Then we have the word “obbligato†marking the prominence of the cello part over the others. They are entertaining pieces, about 25-minutes-long each, in four movements, and similar to Haydn in style. These are the first two of Dotzauer’s generous production of string quartets (more than twenty!). The first is in E-flat major, while the second is in G minor, a curious choice for sure. This edition comes in digital and print, both including the same material, a score and a set of four parts.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811818 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 - 1767). Arranged by Pat Spence. Baroque,Concert,Holiday,Wedding. 40 pages. Piper Publications #6533127. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811818). This quartet is the second piece in the first of three sets of ‘Tafelmusik’ published in Hamburg by Telemann in 1763. The numbers of players required ranged from a single treble instrument with continuo (cello & harpsichord) to pairs of trumpets, horns and violins with string orchestra with continuo which provided the entertainment for the guests at the most important feasts. The quartet was originally written for flute, oboe, violin and continuo and has been arranged for flute, oboe, clarinet & bassoon. Some additional phrasings and dynamics have been added in parentheses ( ) or dashed lines and passages of music have been redistributed among the parts with some octave transposition to accommodate the range of the wind instruments. There are three movements: Largo - Allegro - Largo, Vivace - Moderato - Vivace & Grave - Vivace. The quartet is suitable for advanced intermediate players and above. The short Grave introduction to the final Vivace would have afforded the three treble instrument players a bar/measure each to perform a short improvised cadenza before the infectious romp of the final Vivace. (Rather like the present day introductions of the athletes before important competitions - the difference being that the 18th century musicians had already demonstrated their prowess.Telemann clearly had very talented musicians available and provided them with music which was enjoyable to play for an appreciative audience of patrons to enjoy.
