Thirteen composers are represented, including six pieces by J. S. Bach, four by G. F. Handel and three by G. P. Telemann.

Small Ensemble Flute,Piano,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.889815 Composed by Ginny Saltzman (Bethlehem Angel) and The First Noel - Traditional. Christmas. Score and parts. 9 pages. Ginny's House of Music #4362443. Published by Ginny's House of Music (A0.889815). *Bethlehem Angel and The First Noel This is a very beautifully flowing presentation which includes both an original work by this composer entitled Bethlehem Angel and an arrangement of The First Noel. It includes scriptures and lyrics. It was written for flute, guitar, voice, and piano accompaniment on Intermediate Level.  It is based on the scriptures Luke 2: 8-11 --- And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord and Matthew 2:1-10 ---- Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Judea, art not the least among the princes of Judea: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.Â

Arranged for Solo Mandolin. Composed by John Goodin. Solos and Duets. Style. E-book. Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music #30743EB. Published by Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music
ISBN 9781619118416.<br> <br> Between 1755 and 1761 James Oswald composed and published two sets of 48 Airs for the Seasons, 96 pieces in all. Each air included from two to four separate movements in different time signatures and tempos, almost always in the same key. Each was printed on a single page with the melody on one staff and a bass line (with figures) on a second staff. Additionally, each piece was named after a plant and organized into groups of twelve for each season. This book contains a selection of 24 Oswald airs, 6 for each season, in standard notation and arranged for solo mandolin. Originally intended for the flute or violin, in most cases the original key has been changed to better accommodate the modern mandolin. Oswaldas Scottish heritage is evident in the number of movements that are actually slow airs, jigs, reels or menuets. Altogether, this is a delightful collection of 18th century melodies suitable for solo performance, teaching or private enjoyment.

Londonderry Air arranged for String Orchestra.<br> <br> A big band version of the song is used as the theme for The Danny Thomas Show (a.k.a. Make Room For Daddy).<br> <br> "Danny Boy" was used to represent Northern Ireland at the start of the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony, sung by a choir of children on the Giant’s Causeway.<br> <br> On November 25, 2014, the Vancouver Canucks used the song in honor of the recently deceased Pat Quinn, who played and worked in many executive capacities for the team.<br> <br> There are various theories as to the true meaning of "Danny Boy". Some listeners have interpreted the song to be a message from a parent to a son going off to war or leaving as part of the Irish diaspora.<br> <br> The 1918 version of the sheet music included alternative lyrics ("Eily Dear"), with the instructions that "when sung by a man, the words in italic should be used; the song then becomes "Eily Dear", so that "Danny Boy" is only to be sung by a lady". In spite of this, it is unclear whether this was Weatherly’s intent.<br> <br> Why the name Londonderry Air? Londonderry and Derry refer to the same place, a city in the north of Ireland, and also to the surrounding county. Supposedly the city of Derry was founded by St. Colmcille, although archaeological evidence shows that people were living there thousands of years earlier. There is an excellent museum in the city, which is worth a visit if you want to find out more. The name of the city was actually "Doire", corrupted to "Derry" by people who can’t pronounce Irish. It thought to derive from an Irish root meaning "oak tree".<br> <br> Moving quickly along in history, about a millenium later the government of England was having a difficult time colonizing Ireland because of the fierce and warlike clans living there, especially in the north of the country, Ulster. The monarchs of England, almost all of whom were notorious cheapskates, were continually looking about for ingenious ways to conquer places without actually having to put up the money themselves, or run the risk of unpopularity if they lost. In the case of Ireland, some of these schemes of the "Brish gummit" (as it is termed nowadays in Ulster) are still producing unfortunate long-term consequences.<br> <br> In 1608, King James I gave the city of Derry to the City of London corporation. I guess the deal could be summed up by saying that if the City of London could figure out a way to chase all the inhabitants out of Derry, they would be allowed to keep the loot, minus a percentage for the King of course. If they lost, well too bad. In celebration of this historic agreement, the name of Derry was officially changed to Londonderry. (For further information, check out the Northern Ireland Tourist Board’s History of Derry.)<br> <br> The linguistic outcome of all this today is that, if you think that King James’s deal with the City of London was a good idea, you call both the city and county "Londonderry". If you do, you are probably a supporter of the Unionist movement that seeks to keep Ulster a part of the United Kingdom. If you think it was a bad idea, you call both "Derry", and you are probably a supporter of the Irish Nationalist cause. Or you might just be someone who thinks it’s confusing for kings to be going around changing the names of places all the time for no good reason.<br> <br> You can find plenty of discussion about the political side of the question elsewhere, but here let’s look at the musical side. We have an air, collected in county Derry/Londonderry, and it doesn’t have a title. What do we call it?<br> <br> If you were a proper Victorian, there’s no way you were going to call it the Londonderry Air, much less the Derry Air, because of the improper sentiments that these titles might suggest. My parents tell me that in their youth in Australia, it was usually called the Air from County Derry. (This would, I suppose, support Winston Churchill’s theory that Australia was inhabited by "convicts and Irishmen".)<br> <br> My mother also sends the following information, referring to an arrangement of the tune by the Australian composer Percy Grainger:<br> <br> Just another note about Danny Boy, that I grew up in Australia believing to be the Air from County Derry. We were looking through some LP’s last night (back to vinyl yet!) and found a Mercury Wing Classical Favorites stereo LP SRW18060, COUNTRY GARDENS and other favorites by Percy Grainger {played by} Eastman-Rochester Pops, Frederick Fennell, conducting. The cover notes included the following: "Irish Tune from County Derry was harmonised in memory of Irish childhood friends in Australia." Considered by many to be Grainger’s masterpiece of harmonization, the tune was collected many years ago by Miss Jane Ross of New Town, Limavady, Ireland. Grainger has set it for many instrumental combinations. So there’s another variant on the name for it. It doesn’t say who wrote the notes, but the bits in quotes for each of the works on the record are Grainger’s original comments.<br> <br> The references to Londonderry Air that I’ve seen don’t go back any earlier than the late 1930s. For example, the Glenn Miller Orchestra recorded Danny Boy (Londonderry Air) in February 1940. Bing Crosby’s version was recorded in July 1941 (reference). (So many different things I could check up on!) Londonderry was an important American naval base during WWII, but the US hadn’t come into the war in 1940.<br> <br> Need an anthem fast? They are ALL in my store! All my anthem arrangements are also available for Orchestra, Recorders, Saxophones, Wind, Brass and Flexible band. If you need an anthem urgently for an instrumentation not in my store, let me know via e-mail, and I will arrange it for you FOC if possible! keithterrett@gmail.com<br> <br> Contact Publisher Related Scores

Short: another great fun and educational publication. The word calisthenics is derived from the Greek, kalos, beautiful; and sthenos, strength; the object of calisthenic exercises being to secure physical beauty by developing the limbs and muscles of the human frame, and making the joints flexible, thereby giving strength and power, and ensuring a graceful carriage, erect bearing, and freedom to the figure. In the words of the old Victorians: The highest refinement of that beauty is unattainable without splendour of activity and delicate strength. Exercise is now recognised to be as great a necessity in woman's education as in man's we are learning that many bodily defects and much of her weak health is attributable to the want of it; more especially in youth, when the frame is growing. Such exercises must, however, be carried out under a system; irregularly conducted, they do more harm than good. The constitution must be coaxed, not strained; the strength not unduly taxed, no over-fatigue ensuing; for exhaustion makes people look worn and old. The exertion must not be too violent, and the health and physical development of each pupil must be specially studied. Early morning or evening are the best times to select, but on no account immediately after a meal. The clothing should not be too warm, nor interfere in any way with the action of the limbs. A musical accompaniment will best preserve the necessary rhythm - the time, four or eight beats to a bar; failing this, the pupils should be taught to sing or count in concert, thereby keeping up their interest and zest. A castanet will, failing better means, help to mark the time with or without music. One of our aims is to revive these compositions and bring them to the attention of players and audiences.

He taught the kingdom of God on this earth Was as man sewing good seeds in fields with great care. Then, while sleeping at night, an enemy came And sowed the tares among the wheat in shame. Soon when the wheat grew, showing great promise, Tares also covered the space all around. Knowing the young roots were tender and new, Then the man, in great wisdom, approached his good ground. Let them both grow together. Harvest time waits. The tares and wheat then gathered to their fates. Now is the harvest. Gather together All the elect from the quarters of earth. Those who will call on the Savior in faith, And in places of holiness stand with true worth. For the angels are waiting for their command. Come gather close to reach His outstretched hand.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1125812 By Michael Swedberg. By 13th Century Finnish Carol. Arranged by Terrence Niska. Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday. Score. 8 pages. Niska Music Publishing #726552. Published by Niska Music Publishing (A0.1125812). This carol holds a special memory for me. I was living in Green Bay following my graduate studies and I was teaching private voice lessons at Appleton West High School with my brother and his wife at the request of the choral director, Kevin Meidl. Kevin was also the director of the Appleton Boychoir and one year he asked me to sing the solo part of this carol for a recording they were making. My arrangement of this carol is rather straightforward with very little altering of the basic rhythms found in the original tune. However, the melody in the first verse is found among triplet figures and therefore one must be sure to bring out the important notes. There is a dance-like quality to the music, reminiscent of a gigue from the Baroque period. Following a brief reprise of the opening material the melody shifts to the left hand, starting out as a single note and soon joined in harmony. To me, it represents the page and the king from the story as they walk through the cold, winter night to bring food and fuel to the peasant living near the mountain. The melody then moves back to the right hand, but is now played in half notes indicating the difficult terrain and the snow they must traverse causing them to move more slowly. The left hand rumbles below as a reminder of the wind blowing and the snow swirling about them. The page, fears he cannot go on, but the king tells him to walk in his footsteps and all will be well. Soon, monarch and servant are moving swiftly to their destination. The music slowly fades as they pass into the mountain’s shadow only to grow once again as they arrive at the poor man’s home. The final chords ring out as the door is thrown open and they step inside to share what they have brought.

121 Tunes from the Playford Dancing Masters. Composed by John Goodin. British. Style. E-book. Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music #30538EB. Published by Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music
ISBN 9781619117334.<br> <br> From 1651 to 1728 John Playford, his son Henry, and John Young published multiple editions of the Dancing Master-collections of dance instructions and musical accompaniment. Over 500 distinct tunes were printed in these volumes and they give us one of the best pictures of English popular dance music in the 17th and early 18th centuries. This book presents 121 of these tunes adapted for the mandolin-all are written in standard notation and tablature, with chord symbols. Several pieces have been transposed into more mandolin-friendly keys. Suitable for use in teaching and performance, many of these tunes are still played by musicians today both for pleasure and dance accompaniment.

Voice and piano - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.8492-25E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. Instrument part. 6 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8492-25E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8492-25E). French.Gouvy was known for writing some of the most beautiful melodies of the Romantic period. His style is a combination of German forms and an early French romantic harmonic structure. His writing for the piano in the songs is totally unified in mood and description with the voice, just as the piano is in Schubert’s songs. The equal partnership of the vocal line and piano interact closely to bring the poetry vividly into life with unimaginable artistic heights and unbridled passion. This volume includes Gouvy songs set to 18 poems of Philippe Desportes (1546–1606), and 18 poems of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872). The elements of Romantic love poetry, such as enchanting love and its pain, and the personifying of nature, are fluently described with a great sensitivity in both voice and piano. Gouvy’s melody stir up the imagination because of his special treatment of words through a distinguishable and melodious vocal line, and his story telling and poetic treatment and development of the piano accompaniment. His compositional artistry places him in the upper echelons of art-song composers. One should note that Gouvy had a special fondness for the 16th Century poetry of La Pléiade (a group of Renaissance French poets, led by Pièrre de Ronsard (1524–1585). Desportes was truly the heir to Ronsard; however his work, when compared to that of Ronsard, is filled with greater abstraction and greater fluidity. Desportes seems to avoid any of the passionate anger that is occasionally characteristic of La Pléiade. This may be an indication that Desportes lived in a less distressed time. It also seems necessary to point out that he learned much in his early career by copying and studying the earlier works of La Pléiade. This has led some scholars to label him as a plagiarist, but it is important to realize that all the members of La Pléiade copied from each other when they wished to learn something new, and truly understand the style of the other poets in the group. Gouvy’s only choice of poems from his contemporaries, were the works of Moritz Hartmann (1821–1872), a good friend of Gouvy’s. Much of his poetry was strongly political in support of freedom of the individual. He traveled to Leipzig in 1845, but when the authorities discovered a volume of patriotic poems entitled Kelch und Schwert (Chalice and Sword), he fled to Belgium and France. It is at this time that he possibly met Théodore Gouvy. Eighteen poems of Hartmann were translated from German to French by the French poet, Adolph Larmande, of whom very little is known. Pierre Toussaint Adolphe Larmande seems to have been a rather obscure poet and musician. We know that he taught music theory at the Paris Conservatory at the same time Anton Reicha and Michele Carafa were on the faculty. We also know that in 1847 he married an English woman by the name of Marie Caroline Bradley. There are random documents, such as a Certificate of Arrival in London, England, in 1837, but there are no birth and death dates given, and that includes his obituary notice.

Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1207336 By Keith Terrett. By Frederick M. Lehman. Arranged by Keith Terrett. Historic,Multicultural,Patriotic,Praise & Worship,Traditional,World. Score (Chords/Lyrics). 3 pages. Keith Terrett #805498. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1207336). The Pitcairn Islands are a remote British colony in the South Pacific, famous for being the site where the mutineers from the HMS Bounty landed. The islands’ population have always been very small (currently numbering around 50), yet, aside from the official anthem of God Save the King (which is not heard often on the islands), there have been, and continue to be, many unofficial anthems in use in the colony. In Diana Jolliffe Belcher’s 1871 book “The Mutineers of the Bounty and their Decendants in Pitcairn and Norfolk Island†it is reported that a local poem by Rev. G. H. Nobbs was set to the tune “Rousseau’s Dream†(sheet music) and was considered by Pitcairners to be their anthem at the time. It is not known for how long this was considered as their anthem, however. Also, in 1856, several Pitcairners resettled on Norfolk Island as Pitcairn had become too small. The local anthem now in use on Norfolk Island, Come Ye Blessed, is also referred to as the “Pitcairn Anthemâ€, and more than likely was brought to the island by the Pitcairn settlers, suggesting that this anthem was in use on Pitcairn at that time, and is also heard on Pitcairn currently.Currently, the song “We From Pitcairn Island†(to the tune of the hymn “The Royal Telephoneâ€) is used as an unofficial anthem at gatherings and the like. The lyrics were written by Pitcairner Melva Evans with assistance from the local Seventh Day Adventist Pastor L. A. J. Webster in 1962 to be performed by the school children on board a visiting cruise ship, but the song became identified by residents as their unofficial anthem. Other songs, such as “The Goodbye Song†(written by Pitcairner Amelia Young), and the hymn “In The Sweet By and By†are considered unofficial “Pitcairn songs†at gatherings as well. (“Goodbye songsâ€, sung to ships as they leave the country, are a tradition in many Polynesian islands, and are part of the patriotic music of those countries.).

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.835452 Composed by Stuart Brown. 20th Century,Contemporary,World. Octavo. 211 pages. Stuart Brown Music #5990681. Published by Stuart Brown Music (A0.835452). A fantastic offer price for the full score and all parts! ... Looking for something to add a sense of oriental exoticism to your amateur orchestral/choral concert? This may be what you're looking for! This charming little suite of six dances lasts about 15½ minutes. It consists of a Pavane, Bourée, Sarabande, Allemande, Basse Danse and Galliard, which vary widely in character. As a whole the suite provides some interesting challenges for both performers and listeners. Apart from conventional strings, flute and harp (which can be either pedal or lever) you will need:- One or maybe two Arabian ouds. The parts are playable also on a fretless acoustic guitar. (Needs to be fretless because of the quarter-tones in some of the Arabic modes used.)- A cimbalom (the part can be played on a piano also, with slight modification). You might get away with using a hammered dulcimer but you'd need to make a number of compromises.- A doumbek and a djembe. These beautiful drums are a must for Middle-Eastern or African music. They're fairly easy to find, though finding somebody who can play them properly may take a bit more doing!- Finger cymbals and a gong. These are regular western instruments.- A wind-chime. Anything that produces a nice shimmering spangle of sound will probably do!- A group of singers (SATB). Nothing particularly challenging but see below. The primary oud part, the strings and the singers need to have sufficiently good intonation to pitch quarter tones. These are the exception rather than the rule, but nevertheless play an important part in the character of the music. Apart from this, the music is relatively straightforward and probably playable by any reasonably competent amateur or high school orchestra. In the spring of 2020 I wrote a set of short music tracks for a charity of which I'm a trustee. In order to protect my intellectual property rights in the music, I decided to bring it together into an attractive if not intellectually challenging little suite, hence An Omani Dance Suite. Originally the dances were all in Arabic quarter-tone temperament, but obviously quarter-tones cannot be played easily (if at all) on the flute, harp and cimbalom. So I have made some adjustments but retained the Arabic temperament wherever reasonably possible. I had thought initially of using a santur instead of a cimbalom, but the santur lacks the range and the dynamic capability to be used with a string chamber orchestra. The cimbalom doesn't need to be a concert grand model; in fact it doesn't even need to have dampers. The Omani was something of an afterthought: a musician friend of mine had worked in Oman and commented on how authentically Omani the Basse Danse sounded. The period of composition coincided with a time when I was really missing friends in Vietnam and Romania, so somehow influences from those countries found their way into the music.I'm not bothering with performing rights for this - just go away and enjoy the music! ... but if it inspires you find out more about the charity work that inspires me, feel free to get in touch!https://www.facebook.com/stuartbrownmusic/

Published by Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music (M0.30119EB). ISBN 9781619114067. 8.75x11.75 inches.Modes on the Mandolin: Improve Your Improvisation is a collection of exercises for the mandolin student to work through to better understand the fretboard and expand their musicality. The collection includes scales, modes, arpeggios, patterns, intervalic and rhythmic exercises, and progressions. It will serve as a valuable resource and a supplement to, but not a substitute for, a good teacher. You do not need to follow the chapters in order, as all of them will help you play and improvise over progressions. The exercises are tools to help you build muscle memory and musical ideas anywhere on the fretboard. Connect the physical with the theoretical. There are examples of common tune chord progressions with ideas applied to them. By creating your own musical ideas over the same progressions, you will find that the practical information given (exercises) turns into functional use (playing and improvising). Once you gain a better understanding of the fretboard, you will notice more fluidity and creativity in your playing.

This series features a solo melody line accompanied by I, IV, and V7 chords, making it perfect for a general classroom setting or for private lessons. Level One (Book 1, Part 1) begins with basic rhythms (quarter, half, dotted half, and whole) in the keys of C, G, D. Each key begins with several songs in the basic five-finger position, then adds either one note above or one note below, then adds 3/4 time, then adds songs in which the hand is not in the basic five-finger position for that key. Level One (Book 1, Part 2) continues with the keys of A, E, B. Eighth notes are introduced in the key of E. Level One (Book 1, Part 3) contains the keys of F#, Db, and Ab. Level One (Book 1, Part 4) contains the keys of Eb, Bb, and F. I have been teaching several of my students with this book, and they are often eager to begin their lessons by playing their assignment out of this book. The feedback I've received from parents is that their child loves the songs because they are fun and easy to understand. Children often love coloring in the black and white pictures on each page. I hope your students also enjoy these songs. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.984012). Just one person doing what he knows is right will set off a chain reaction for the good that will go on and on. Before I arrived at mission age I had to make a lot of decisions about whether or not I wanted to go on a mission. There were so many voices calling out to me. The voices promised me scholarships and fame. The voices questioned my logic. The voices tried to make me doubt my motives and character. The voices ridiculed me and my desires to do good. The voices told me that they loved me, but wouldn't wait for me if I went on a mission. All of those voices were demeaning of me if I went on a mission. They also promised me joy, but only if I decided not to go on a mission. I ultimately decided to go on a mission. By going on a mission I was put in a situation where I could testify of God's gospel truths. Those people hearing the truths had the opportunity to pray to God to find out for themselves if what they had been taught was true. Those people that talked to God in prayer joined the church. Why? Because God answered their prayers. Some of those new members went on missions to other lands converting through the spirit of the Holy Ghost others, who in turn went on missions to other lands. The cycle continues. Just one person doing what he knows is right can set off a chain reaction for the good that will go on and on.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1009194 Composed by An-lun Huang. 20th Century,Christmas,Classical. Score. 38 pages. DoReMi Edition #594856. Published by DoReMi Edition (A0.1009194). Based on the fairy tale “The Little Match Girl†by Hans Christian Anderson (1805-1875), the famous Danish writer, the Beijing Ballet School of China commissioned An-Lun Huang to compose this ballet in 1977. The play was written by Zhang Dun-yi, and the choreographers were Wu Fu-kang and Huang Buo-hong. The premiere took place in Beijing in 1977. It was performed by the school and the Central Opera House Orchestra, conducted by Zheng Xiao-ying. The music is written in Nineteen Century-Romantic style with some strong Scandinavian flavor. Margot Fonteyn, one of the most important ballet dancers of our age, claimed that “the composer has composed the very, very, very good music for this ballet ! “ She then produced a movie of it, which has been broadcasted by the PBS of U.S.A. in early of eighties. Since the great success of the premiere, this ballet and its music have been widely performed and warmly received. A tape of it was also released in China. This is the story of the ballet: In a little Danish town in the nineteenth century, Betty, a little girl who lost her mother, was selling matches along the street during Christmas time. The sound of the church bell reminded her that the time was quite late, but she was unable to go home until she completed her job. An old man came to light the street lights. He gave her some money and left. Betty tried to sell her matches to a carriage, but the carriage just ran away. Snow fell, cold and hungry, she lit a match on the wall to warm herself. A group of “Fire Fairies†appeared. They danced around her and got her warm. Since they disappeared so quickly, Betty lit another match. She saw a big dining room with a beautiful Christmas tree and a lot of food. While some bus boys were handing her a piece of roasted goose, the typical Danish Christmas food, a nobleman in a portrait hanging on the wall suddenly moved. Everything disappeared again. Betty immediately lit the third match, a “Swan Lake†with a beautiful garden appeared. She met her mother with tears because the mother had passed away for years. Mother got a pair of little red shoes for her as the Christmas gift and danced with her. The “Portrait nobleman†brought the mother out of the scene. Everything was gone but the snow storm. The church bell sounded again, with the morning dawn, the old man came to extinguish the street lights. He found the frozen body of the little girl.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.747215 Composed by Christopher R. Brown. Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 11 pages. Christopher Brown #4756805. Published by Christopher Brown (A0.747215). About the song: In Psalm 22:22, David writes, I will praise You to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify to the wonderful things You have done. Again, in Psalm 66:16, the psalmist says, Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what He did for me. Jesus, after healing a man with a demon, commands the man to go home... and report the great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you. The testimony of a life changed by God's love and His great mercy is a powerful tool for both spreading the Good News and resisting temptation. It is good for us to remember and proclaim, both personally and collectively, the great things the Lord has done. Can be performed with piano accompaniment only, OR with additional band members, OR with full orchestra*.Please Note:You can purchase individual copies of the vocal part separately on Sheet Music Plus. Performance of this piece requires the purchase of one vocal score per singer.*Full orchestration and parts also available on Sheet Music Plus.Included in your Purchase:Piano AccompanimentLyrics:Verse 1Let me tell you a story of grace,How the Son of Man died in my place.Raised to life, all my sin was erased.Praise the Name of the Lord.Verse 2Many times I have asked of the Lord,On my knees I have prayed and implored. In the waiting my soul is restored,Praise the Name of the Lord.Chorus 1This is what the Lord has done for me,Paid my debt and set this captive free.Mercy flowed down at Calvary,This is what the Lord has done for me.Verse 3When I’m tempted to fear the unknown,I’m reminded I don’t walk alone.Christ is with me and He’ll lead me home,Praise the Name of the Lord.Chorus 2This is what the Lord has done for me,Paid my debt and set this captive free.Mercy flowed down at Calvary,This is what the Lord has done for me.BridgeOpened these blind eyes to see,Softened this heart to believe,Pardoned my sin on a tree,Now I stand redeemed.Key Change (up whole tone)Chorus 3This is what the Lord has done for me,Paid my debt and set this captive free.Mercy flowed down at Calvary,This is what the Lord has done for me.Chorus 4This is what the Lord has done for me,Paid my debt and set this captive free.Mercy flowed down at Calvary,This is what the Lord has done for me.This is what the Lord has done for me.
