Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942966 Composed by Geoffrey Peterson. Classical,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 28 pages. Geoffrey Peterson #5997509. Published by Geoffrey Peterson (A0.942966). The title of the cantata was borrowed from the book The Living Cathedral: St John the Divine: A History and Guide. The following statement by St John the Divine expresses some of my motivation for composing it:St John the Divine embraces a community that extends beyond the Episcopal Church to include people of many faiths and cultures here in New York City…The Cathedral is a living place of worship built on a foundation of purpose and inspiration…Since its founding in 1893, the Cathedral has stood as a ‘house of prayer for all nations,’ inspired by the wave of immigration that took place over the last four decades of the 19th century. The values of inclusion and community have remained integral to the Cathedral and all who visit. It is my hope, not only for communities of faith, but for all people to strive and achieve the human ideals of tolerance, understanding and kindness. Movements: I. Alleluia II. Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace (Prayer of Saint Francis) III. Laudate Dominum (Psalm 149,150) IV. Lead gently, Lord, and slow (Paul Laurence Dunbar) V. The spacious firmament on high (Psalm 19, Joseph Addison) *Organ and string parts available for sale separately.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.904869 Composed by Pam Asberry. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 3 pages. Pamela C Asberry #3385353. Published by Pamela C Asberry (A0.904869). Island Cathedral is a hymn-like piece inspired by the beautiful Alto Vista Chapel in Aruba. From the original solo piano album Seashells in My Pocket, released October 2017. Pam Asberry is off to a great start with this new phase of her musical career! (Kathy Parsons, MainlyPiano.com).Like shells plucked from the seashore and tucked into one's pocket as souvenirs from a magical day at the beach, these pieces evoke memories of beautiful islands and coastal cities. As you listen to her music, Pam's lifetime of playing experience shines ever-so-brilliantly through! I just love her 'right on time' pacing - it makes you feel like she's right there in your living room, telling her story of a walk along coastal shores! (Dick Metcalf, Contemporary Fusion Reviews). Pam's music can be heard on iTunes, Spotify, and Enlightened Piano Radio. For more information, visit www.pamasberry.com.

In Little Seeds you will find new hymns from my heart. My devotional life is given to you in my hymnwriting. During the past three years I have been writing songs for the unity of the church - songs reminding us of our baptism. I have been writing biblical story hymns for lesser-known characters. I have written paperless songs that may be easily memorized. I set a Rumi poem. There are new hymns for Christian missions from everywhere to everywhere. You will find new texts and musical settings for folk songs from around the world. I hope I have treated these with the love and respect they deserve. You will find alternate arrangements of some songs that may be useful in different settings. Lim Swee Hong composed three tunes for this collection at my request. I am also pleased to include Lianne Tan's first published hymn tune in Little Seeds

Organ - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q22571 Veni creator. Composed by Enjott Schneider. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 21 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q22571. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q22571). The association of the twelfth Organ Symphony with Pentecost began with the Regensburg Cathedral organist Franz Josef Stoiber giving its first performance on the 2009 Rieger organ immediately in front of the great Pentecost window by Josef Oberberger in Regensburg Cathedral. Pentecost represents a consummation in Christianity, a manifestation of the Trinity, intense spirituality, baptism and the development of community among all Christians. It is a passionate celebration of inner joy, yet always surrounded by an aura of reverence and spirituality. 1st movement: A powerful invocation using the Gregorian Pentecostal hymn Veni, Creator Spiritus. 2nd movement: The white dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, representing gentleness and love. In the 3rd movement, Water is the ‘fons vivus’ (living fountain) of all life. Flowing figures on the organ frame the quasi-Gregorian variations on the melody of ‘Komm, Heiliger Geist, Herre Gott’ (Ebersberg c. 1480), inspired by the 11th Century antiphon ‘Veni Sancte Spiritus’. 4th movement: Breath and wind have been used as images of the spirit of God ever since the story of the Creation. At Pentecost they come together in a conflagration. This ‘Tempesta di fuoco’ begins with hovering tonality (over a twelve-note motif) with bright and shrill harmonies, but then leads into the tonic key as the Pentecostal hymn ‘Veni, Creator Spiritus’ shines through - a programmatic credo for the twelve Organ Symphonies, asserting a universal awareness of tonality.

Thomas Oboe Lee #15879. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869356). Instrumentation: 1 flute, 1 oboe, 1 English horn, 2 bassoons, 2 French horns, timpani and strings.Program note: In the year 2010, my wife Kristin Beckwith and I went to Paris twice, the first time in May and the second time in December right after Christmas. The weather was magnificent in May. Our friends Seph and Roger met us there. Being long-time veterans of Paris, they took us all over the city: Le Marais, the Left Bank, Montmartre, Sacré Coeur, Père LaChaise cemetery, Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Jardin du Luxembourg, Jardin des Tuileries, Notre Dame cathedral, Eiffel Tower, the flea market at Porte de Clignancourt, the canal at Saint Martin, etc. Since the weather was so great we basically stayed outside the entire two weeks. My wife Kris said that we had to return next again to Paris to go inside the museums. So we did. The weather in Paris after Christmas was very damp and chilly. So we did indoor activities: Le Louvre, Musée D’Orsay, Palais Garnier, etc. We even attended a beautiful performance of Swan Lake by the Paris Opera Ballet at L’Opéra Bastille. I should also mention that on both occasions I met up with a former student of mine from Berklee, Joe Makholm. He makes a living in Paris playing jazz piano. Joe got us a gig at the Swan Bar in Montparnasse. On the first occasion we did it as a trio with a French bass player. I played flute. On the second occasion, we did it as a duo. Playing jazz in Paris? You can’t beat that!!! Early this year, Steven Lipsitt and I had a chat about my writing a new work for the Boston Classical Orchestra. My last work for the BCO was a piano concerto with Robert Levin as soloist. I told Steven that this time I wanted to write a symphony. He said, Sure. Go ahead. I told him it would be about Paris. He said he would put Mozart’s Paris Symphony on the same program. I said, Fabulous! Symphony No. 8 … City of Light (2011) is in five movements. 1. La Seine Presto, Moderato 2. Basilique du Sacré-Coeur Largo 3. Palais Garnier Allegro, Trio 4. Avenue des Champs-Élysées Allegro 5. Musée du Louvre Largo, Moderato This work is dedicated to my wife and muse, Kristin Beckwith. Organ - Digital Download SKU: A0.828708 Composed by Jan Zach. Arranged by Guido Menestrina. Baroque. Score. 5 pages. Guido Menestrina #405395. Published by Guido Menestrina (A0.828708). Transcription by Guido Menestrina, follow the score on youtube: https://youtu.be/A0riyf_X3P4 Jan Zach, called in German Johann Zach (baptized 13 November 1699 – 24 May 1773) was a Czech composer, violinist and organist. Although he was a gifted and versatile composer capable of writing both in Baroque and Classical idioms, his eccentric personality led to numerous conflicts and lack of steady employment from about 1756 onwards. Zach was born in ÄŒelákovice, Bohemia into a wheelwright's family. In 1724 he moved to Prague and started working as violinist at St Gallus and at St MartÃn. According to Dlabacž, he studied organ under Bohuslav MatÄ›j ÄŒernohorský, who lived in Prague from 1720 to 1727. Zach's career as organist started at St MartÃn, and by 1737 he was also playing the organ at the monastic church of the Merciful Brethren and the Minorite chapel of St Ann. In 1737 he competed for the position of organist at St. Vitus Cathedral, but was not successful. Details of what happened next are unknown: he was reported to have left Bohemia, but apparently remained in Prague at least until 1740. By early 1745 he was living in Augsburg and then on 24 April 1745 he was appointed Kapellmeister of the Electoral orchestra at the court of Johann Friedrich Karl von Ostein, Prince-Elector of Mainz. He visited Italy in 1746 and, briefly, Bohemia in 1747.[1] Zach evidently had a complex and eccentric personality, which led to numerous conflicts that plagued his life at Mainz. He was suspended from his position in 1750 and finally dismissed in 1756. From that point on it appears that Zach never again had steady employment. He traveled through Europe and supported himself financially by performing and selling copies of his works, teaching, dedicating his compositions, and so on. He visited numerous courts and monasteries in Germany and Austria, stayed in Italy in 1767 and between 1771and 1772, and may have worked as choirmaster at the Pairis Abbey in Alsace. He stayed several times at the Stams Abbey at Stams, Tyrol, where he may have had connections, and served as music teacher at the Jesuit school in Munich, for several brief periods of time. The last mentions of Zach in contemporary sources indicate that in January 1773 he was at the Wallerstein court, and according to the Frankfurt Kayserliche Reichs-Ober-Post-Amts-Zeitung of 5 June 1773 he died on a journey, at Ellwangen. Zach was buried in the local church of St Wolfgang. Zach's surviving oeuvre comprises a wealth of both instrumental and sacred music: some 30 masses, 28 string sinfonias, a dozen keyboard works and other pieces. Due to the nature of Zach's life it is difficult to establish a precise chronology. His work reflects the transition from the old Baroque style to the emerging Classical music era ideals. Zach was equally adept at strict counterpoint and the style galant, and was also influenced by Czech folk music. Zach was fond of chromatic modulations. Scholar Johann Branberger, writing in the early 20th century, noted Zach's preference for chromatic, and often exotic, themes. Only a few of Zach's pieces were published during his lifetime: a harpsichord sonata (in Oeuvres mêlées, v/6 (Nuremberg, 1759)), a harpsichord concerto (Nuremberg, 1766; GS C13), and the collection Sei sonate for harpsichord and violin or flute (Paris, 1767).

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1030790 Composed by Jeremy T. Warner. Concert,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 9 pages. Warner Music Publishing #3074343. Published by Warner Music Publishing (A0.1030790). This moving work, born out of friendship between composer and poet, speaks of hope, loss, and renewal in the form of light, sunsets and sunrises. It is perfect for general concert use, living composer features, funerals, and any concerts/services dealing with the metaphors of darkness and light and/or sunsets and sunrises. The text comes from the personal experiences of the poet, Philip Tabler. He’d felt compelled to write this poem for a dear friend that had lost her father. As the story goes, it was her father’s last request that he see the sunset before his passing and though he was confined to his bed and bedroom, the family was able to adjust the room in such a way that he was able to see the sunset out of the bedroom window one final time in the moments just before he passed. The recording features the Memphis ChoralArts and University of Memphis Collegiate Choir ensembles performing in the beautiful and acoustic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Memphis, TN under the director of the composer on April 23, 2017.

Peteris Vasks has written compositions for organ again and again, whether original works or arrangements of his own works for strings. He drew his ideal sound image and his inspiration from the famous organ of the Cathedral in Riga where the composer has been living for a long time. Like in almost all his compositions, the basic idea of 'Canto di forza' is the personal human examination of Creation: on the one hand the beauty of Nature, on the other hand the destruction of Nature by man.<br> Vasks' organ music does not provide any great difficulties but rather displays an impressive tonal variety of the most intimate, held back sounds to tremendous chordal eruptions.
