String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534002 Composed by Frederick Frahm. Contemporary,Folk,Holiday,Patriotic. Score and parts. 26 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3095057. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534002). On 31 October 1517, Dr. Martin Luther, according to church custom, posted a document presenting 95 theses intended for scholarly debateon the door of the Castle Church of Wittenberg. As a teacher, theologian, and a pastor he found much to be concerned with in the conduct of hismother, the Church. His intent was to begin a conversation over honestgrievances and to persuade those who would lead to take a path moreconsistent with the teachings they espoused.Spaces of Night takes its impetus from this desire to speak truth to power. It's music, with no small sympathy towards the tonal language and dialectof the classic American liturgical tradition, is at times parody and at othertimes anti-parody. It's libretto, while created 100 years ago by a celebratedAmerican author, speaks in our present age to an empire that has lost its way.Its voice is not one of despair and rage, but hope for and commitment to the future of the gathered community. If I should cast off this tattered coat,And go free into the mighty sky;If I should find nothing thereBut a vast blue,Echoless, ignorant —What then?Libretto adapted by the composerFrom the ‘lines’ of Stephen Crane:The Black Riders and Other Lines (1895) &War is Kind (1899)This is the full score; A reduction for mezzo and organ is available as another item. The orchestral parts are on rental from the publisher

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.922634 Composed by Johann Strauss Jr. Arranged by Aaron Meier. Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 1 pages. Aaron Meier #5792359. Published by Aaron Meier (A0.922634). Original by Johann Strauss II Reduction to String Orchestra by Aaron Meier Part: Violin I True to the original work by Strauss, this reduction for string orchestra features the ornaments and mystical writing that defines Strauss' polkas. There are optional percussion parts to be added at the discretion of the ensemble, however even without percussion the ensemble will sound full (the percussion acts as an ornament). Difficulty: Intermediate-advanced - advanced (best-suited for advanced student ensembles) --- Performance Notes: • Approximate length: 3:30 minutes • 1st Violins: In m. 1, trill a half step from a D♠to a D♮ • 2nd Violins:  - At m. 42, divide players by 3, with 2 players playing line A and the remaining player playing line B  - At m. 72-75, emphasize the E♠in the div. • Snare Drum: The buzz roll needs to be quieter than how it is played in the midi recording (*see YouTube link ↓) History: The Olga-Polka itself owed its creation to a Russian royal wedding which took place in St. Petersburg on 28 August 1857. On that day, amid accompanying splendour, the music-loving Grand Duke Michail Nikolaievich (1832-1909), youngest brother of Tsar Alexander II, married Princess Caecilie of Baden (1839-91), daughter of Archduke Leopold of Baden. Johann Strauss, who at that time was giving a summer season of concerts in nearby Pavlovsk, used the opportunity occasioned by the event to enhance his already enviable popularity with the Russian royal family and composed the Caecilien-Polka in honour of the lovely young bride. Indeed, it is clear from a letter which Johann wrote in late July 1857 to Carl Haslinger, his publisher in Vienna, that the new polka had been prepared well in advance of the wedding (the fair copy of the full orchestral score made for the publisher's engraver is dated 9 August) and was enjoying success even before the royal couple's official engagement on 16August 1857. Sometime after performing the Caecilien-Polka in Pavlovsk, Johann despatched the work to the Austrian capital where his brother Josef conducted its Viennese première, together with that of Johann's waltz Telegraphische Depeschen (op. 195, Volume 28), at his own benefit concert in the Volksgartenon Sunday 18 October 1857. The Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (16.10.1857) remarked that both works have caused a sensation in St. Petersburg and are truly genial Viennese sounds full of verve and melody. Since tradition demanded that the German Princess Caecilie adopt a Russian name - Olga Feodorovna - before her marriage, so Johann's Caecilien-Polka also underwent a change of identity. On 8 December 1857 Carl Haslinger announced the publication of Strauss's Olga-Polka, on the title page of which is the inscription: Dedicated to her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Olga, née Princess of Baden. It was under this title, too, that Johann himself first conducted the work in Vienna at a concert in the Volksgarten on 1 November 1857, shortly after his return from Russia. Reporting on this event, the Wiener Allgemeine Theaterzeitung (3.11.1857) observed: The 'Olga-Polka' is a most delightful, fragrant musical bouquet, full of fine, gracious rhythms. Composed by Various. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Christian, General Worship, Easter. Piano Reduction, Score, Set of Parts. 81 pages. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (S0.304855). - Piano Reduction,Score,Set of Parts - Christian,General Worship,Easter - Colin Kirkpatrick Publications
Thisis an essential collection of twenty-two favorite Easter hymns arranged forstring quartet, string quintet or string orchestra. Designed for school, college or church this useful collection should be in your library! The double bass is optional, because itdoubles the cello part throughout. There?s a piano part too, so you can also use thearrangements as string solos, duets or trios. They are intended either as stand-alonepieces that could be used as interludes in an Easter service, or they could beused to accompany solo, choral or congregational singing. The music has beenset in string-friendly keys and leans towards G major, D major and C major. Thepiano part has been written for with the early intermediate pianist in mind, though some hymns are actually quite easy. In a string orchestra, you canbrighten the sound by instructing a few of the more advanced violin players to playan octave higher in both 1st and 2nd violin parts. Youcan also use the arrangements as flute or oboe solo pieces, the wind instrumentplaying the 1st violin part. Skillfully arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick, the 22 hymns include: Amazing Grace; And Can it Be? (Sagina); At the Lamb?s High Feast We Sing(Salzburg); Christ the Lord is Risen Again! (Würtemburg); Crown Him with ManyCrowns (Diademata); Jesus Christ is Risen Today (Easter Hymn); Jesus Lives!(St. Albinus); Love?s Redeeming Work is Done (Savannah); Low in the Grave HeLay (Lowry); There is a Green Hill Far Away (Horsley); Near the Cross (Doane); OSacred Head Now Wounded (Passion Chorale); The Day of Resurrection (Ellacombe); The Strife is O'er, the Battle Won (Victory); Rock of Ages (Toplady); Thine bethe Glory (Maccabæus); This Joyful Eastertide (Easter-tide); To God be theGlory! (Doane); When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (Hamburg); When I Survey theWondrous Cross (Rockingham); Were You There When They Crucified my Lord? andYe Choirs of New Jerusalem (St. Fulbert).

Difficulty: Intermediate-advanced - advanced (best-suited for advanced student ensembles) ---Performance Notes: • Approximate length: 3:30 minutes • 1st Violins: In m. Patrick Prejean #779041. Published by Patrick Prejean (A0.1179068). This is a massive undertaking. Written in six movements, this quartet has much to say.I - Church Bells are heard throughout in many keys. No matter where I go I can always hear them in the distanceII - This movement is untitled seeing as I didn't come up with a clever name for it. I wrote it on very cloudy day and that is all I can remember about it.III - Happy Times is a reduction of the same piece in my Piano Sonata: Blue. IV - Dance - This movement is a dance of death. It is very obvious that something has gone wrong and there is no chance of fixing it.V - Taking Turns - The title is self -explanatory. Originally this was going to be the beginning of a mini quartet but I decided against it. VI - Death March - This is a feeling I know all to well. It is held together by the canonical wandering melody that attempts to shine through the dark.

Published by Gail M Luley (A0.1488102). Music and Performance NotesThe Advent sets a poem by Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) to music. The poet asks us to recognize that God comes to us and is present in everything around us, in the things we see, experience and feel. God ever comes and touches us with joy. We recognize God in our songs, in our moods, in sorrow, in joy, in our daily lives. This music is scored for SATB choir and viola. If a violist is not available, a violin can substitute. A piano reduction of the choral parts can be used just for rehearsal, or also in the performance if necessary. If no string player is available, the pipe organ can be used for the string part.Note on the textRabindranath Tagore was a Bengali poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer, and painter during the age of Bengal Renaissance. He reshaped Bengali literature and music as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Author of the profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful poetry of Gitanjali, he became in 1913 the first non-European and the first lyricist to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.Song Offering/Gitanjali 45Have you not heard his silent steps? He comes, comes, ever comes.Every moment and every age, every day and everynight he comes, comes, ever comes. Many a song have I sung in many a mood of mind, but all their notes have always proclaimed,He comes, comes, ever comes. In the fragrant days of sunny April through the forestpath he comes, comes, ever comes. In the rainy gloom of July nights on the thunderingchariot of clouds he comes, comes, ever comes. In sorrow after sorrow, it is his steps that press upon my heart, and it is the golden touch of his feet that makes my joy to shine.Rabindranath Tagore.

Largo al factotum (Figaro's aria) from Il barbiere di Siviglia - Accessible Accompaniments Edition
Baritone voice, Piano

(+)
Baritone Horn TC,Vocal Solo,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1176334 Composed by Gioachino Rossini. Arranged by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo. 19th Century,Classical,Opera,Romantic Period. 13 pages. Nicole Elyse DiPaolo #776458. Published by Nicole Elyse DiPaolo (A0.1176334). The first of its kind, this is a genuinely playable piano/vocal reduction of Largo al factotum,†the show-stopping first aria from Gioachino Rossini’s famous opera Il barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville). Most reductions of this aria pose a physical hazard to audition and other collaborative pianists who risk injury by trying to grab every fast repeated note and chord in this extremely long aria, nor do the repeated notes tend to come out properly or sound right on pianos compared to the string instruments for which they were written. With this reduction—which was specifically created to be more ergonomic at the piano and safer to get through on long audition-playing days—pianists may now enjoy playing this aria comfortably, without risking strain/injury. However, it’ll still be a tour de force for the baritone!Note that this score does not make any cuts to the aria; therefore, it is also suitable for recital settings without time limits. All Accessible Accompaniments, including this one, boast several unique features:1. No reduction ever requires stretches of over an octave, not including bass notes meant to be held or “fudged†with the pedal (though octaves may also contain chord tones within them). This reduces the amount of rearranging that smaller-handed pianists must already do. Obviously, further reworkings are to be expected and pianists should feel free to add to or modify what I’ve provided.2. I’ve included less essential, but potentially desirable additional voices/passages in cue-size noteheads so that pianists can easily see them, but know that they are not necessary in a “sink or swim†accompanying situation. Presenting less essential material in cue-size noteheads also reduces visual clutter on the page. 3. In addition to the composer’s markings, when needed, I have included hints on particular notes to bring out when the singer is likely to need them as a pitch anchor or when it is not obvious which line should be brought out within the texture.4. All page turns have been carefully selected so as to result in the least possible disruption to the pianist when possible. 5. When known, I’ve noted alternate cuts that singers might like to take within certain arias. 6. In some cases I’ve modernized spelling conventions for easier readability (for example, by replacing “߆with “ss†in German arias) and occasionally I've enharmonically respelled brief passages for greater clarity. I’ve also replaced some text “cresc.†and “dim.†markings with hairpins, which are easier to see in high-pressure sight-reading situations. About the Arranger: Praised as a sensitive pianist and outstanding accompanist who delivers powerful interpretations, Nicole Elyse DiPaolo enjoys a multifaceted career as a sought-after collaborative pianist, educational composer, arranger, coach, private teacher, and adjunct music professor. Currently based in the Cleveland area, Ms. DiPaolo has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Ambassador Chamber Players on multiple occasions and as a recitalist, collaborator, and presenter worldwide. Piano Accompaniment, Trumpet - Advanced - Digital Download Composed by Petrich, Roger. 21st Century. Piano Reduction, Solo Part. 24 pages. Published by Cherry Classics Music
Zatten was commissioned in 2005 by Trumpeter Paul Neebe during the composer's vacation to do ancestral research in the town of Zatten, currently part of Poland.<br> <br> Roger Petrich writes the following about his Zatten Concerto for Trumpet:<br> <br> "The 'DNA' of this compostion tracks back to my great-grandfather and the tiny Plattdeutsch village where he was born. Zatten, [then] located in the eastern part of Berlin/Brandenburg is in an area of forest and small farms dating back to the 1600's. My grandfather R. T. Petrich, whose initials I bear, was six years old when he, along with his parents, sister, and older brother left Prussia to start a new life in the USA.<br> <br> My own childhood memories include many visits to the family homestead in Dakota Territory, where I used to play in the barn which hosted many summer dances. The Dakota sky was vast by day, and nights could become magical with the addition of the Northern Lights. Though not a professional musician, my father kept up his trumpet playing all his life. In a special way it was his "voice" - a sound that deeply imprinted all my growing up years. All of this is mixed together in my Zatten Concerto"<br> <br> The Zatten Concerto is in three movements, the two outer movements faster and the middle is a Largo. This work is written for Trumpet in C and is appropriate for advanced performers.<br> <br> The title Zatten (the name of the small village in Germany where his family was located before immigrating to the USA) is spelled out in Morse Code in the very opening eight bars of the work. The Concerto is originally written for Trumpet and String Orchestra, this version using a reduction for Piano.
