Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1317798 Composed by Trevor Davies. Christmas,Contemporary,Praise & Worship. Score. 8 pages. Musicworks.co.uk #906482. Published by Musicworks.co.uk (A0.1317798). While Shepherds Watched as you have never heard it before! A bright new setting of the traditional words with an upbeat chorus and a moving final verse that speaks directly to us all. Inspired by folk, worship and gospel traditions, this exciting carol really conveys the amazement of the shepherds, who really must have wondered why ‘they had been chosen as witnessesâ€.This arrangement (lead vocal and piano) will appeal to pop choirs, schools and gospel choirs. It has huge potential for development or can be sung ‘straight out of the box’. I’d just love as many people out there as possible to give it a try!

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1464196 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. 3 pages. Kevin G. Pace #1042917. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1464196). A beautiful, sacred hymn referencing the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Music by Kevin G. Pace. Text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:During a drought there’s faithful hope of a rescuing rain.A distant cloud may seem afar, but God our life sustains. All temples built must show great strength when erecting to God.The earth’s great gift of severed stones shows a final façade.Arid ground can be made whole; broken rocks can be strong.God’s love is a Father’s love . . . even for the prodigal one. Abraham’s age, and Sarah’s too, halted one promised heirUntil, with time, a miracle brought forth Isaac so fair.Witnesses from within a crowd, begged a stoning one day,But Jesus stooped and said with love, “Sin no more, go thy way.”Waiting long can claim God’s will; He can bless to belong.God’s love is a Father’s love . . . even for the prodigal one. A prodigal left home too soon . . . riches squandered, abused,Until at last all pride was gone; father’s kiss showing truth. Some sin may come, or mortal pain; earthly choices are made.Temptations soar, but Father, God, loves with grandeur displayed.Coming home to Father’s love brings a brand-new song.God’s love is a Father’s love . . . even for his prodigal one. God’s pure love means coming home . . . especially for His prodigal one.

Drum Set - Digital Download SKU: A0.1070242 Composed by Visionary Quest Records. Contemporary,Dance,Hip-Hop,Pop. Full Performance. Duration 381. Visionary Quest Records #4728229. Published by Visionary Quest Records (A0.1070242). Defiance: Fight for TruthThis piece was inspired from a state of fury having observed the erosion of truth, and witnessed how the powers that be continue the flippant treatment of truth as a passing inconsequential after thought. This song was composed with the intention of giving strength and hope to those who still seek truth and who seek to preserve its sanctity. Granted, there are challenges ahead. The hope is that Defiance: Fight for Truth will be a source of motivation to overcome adversity when it presents itself.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1074907 Composed by Joshua A. Idio. 20th Century,Classical,Contest,Festival,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 55 pages. Joshua A Idio #679162. Published by Joshua A Idio (A0.1074907). Composed by Joshua A. Idio. Chamber Music. String Quartet. This is a two-movement piece comprising of a prelude and an allegro. The entire piece is meant to convey a simple story of witnessing the change of different lifestyles, from the peaceful and simple rural life to the electrifying grandeur of urban city life. The prelude, signifying the rural atmosphere, begins with unsettling chords that feel seasonal and constantly moving. The different string melodies are as lovingly soothing as playing in the grassy fields and mountains. They are fun, pleasant, and whimsical, and they express the rather playful and tranquil setting of rural living. The beginning chords may feel unusually active, but it also adds to the color of this calming tranquility. Life couldn't be any better. In contrast to the fun and joyful theme of the prelude, the allegro embodies the absolute hustle and bustle of the big city. Explosive harmonies progress through the movement. Melodies from the prelude now intertwine with this new faster theme, playing more lively and vigorous. The mood has changed. Everything seems fast-paced and maybe overloading. But, maybe that's not a bad thing. A bit into the movement, as the hustle and bustle finally slow down, the essence of the prelude returns to calm the music. Homesickness mixed with overwhelming emotions is just as powerful of an expression as joy or anger. Filled with confidence and resolve, the music quickens back into its fast theme. The nature of intense focus, inspired by the urban surroundings, mixes with the joy and fun of the old ways. Everything now seems not just more familiar and comforting, but lively as well. As the music reaches its end, those unsettling chords from the prelude return to once again remind us that the rural lifestyle will always be a part of us. Maybe this city life won't be such a bad thing. We experience the best life when it comes with change. While I never lived in a rural community myself, I can empathize with the experience of people who have from their own stories and emotions. And when they move into the overwhelming cityscape, they sometimes either break down or build up. In the end, though, I can never really understand what it is like until I move into a rural community. But I know nothing will ever change how they grew up there, as the experiences always seem to follow them into the next chapter of their adventures. And it is because of that kind of beautiful resolve, did I nickname this Prelude and Allegro Urbanalia. When life meets change it opens up a whole new story.

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.701653). An original hymn with text by Michael Young below.YouTube video: https://youtu.be/IYJ1IZr-6tQ1. In Eden, then in Canaan's land,Then in Israel was heard. The voice of God, both still and grand,Prophets wrote His holy word. The Stick of Judah lent its voice,Witnessing of Christ to come,And making all who read rejoiceIt was the part, but not the sum.2. First in a stable as a child, On the shores of Galilee,Some heard Christ’s words, pure, undefiled,Many wrote what they did see.The Stick of Judah grew againWitnessing the Christ who came. How once our Savior dwelt with men,And cleansed mankind of sin and blame.3. In wilderness and on the sea,And then in the Promised Land. Both Nephi and his seed were free,And did God’s grace understand. The Stick of Joseph then sprang up,Witnessing of Christ as well,Of him who drained the bitter cup,Who redeemed their souls from hell.4. The Stick of Judah is one voice, The Stick of Joseph unitesIts witness, and gives us the choice, Of heeding both these two lights. Two witness of Christ who lives, Who came and will soon again, Until that time, His words He gives, None may know the hour when.

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.976711 Composed by Isaac Watts / Lowell Mason. Arranged by Robert Myers. Christian,Easter,Sacred. Octavo. 31 pages. WheatMyer Music #4775085. Published by WheatMyer Music (A0.976711). When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, written by the Father of English Hymnody, Isaac Watts, in 1707 and later matched with Lowell Mason’s 1824 tune, HAMBURG, has long stood at the forefront of English hymnody. This arrangement, taken from my Passion Week cantata, Wounded, Bleeding, Still Proceeding, allows the full talent-spectrum of the Body of Christ to contemplate His sacrifice and offer their devotion. The first two stanzas feature an alto/soprano duet, set in a minor key with frequent diminished and augmented chords to reflect the despair and loss of a witness to the crucifixion. The entire third stanza, set for SATB chorus, never really moves off the F minor tonic until the end. That, and the relentless pounding of the bass line, ponders the witnesses anguish and our vicarious experience of it through Scripture. So, sing these stanzas sadly – they are sad! When the choir enters, be sure to observe the swelling crescendos/diminuendos as the sorrow and love mingle together. The fourth stanza offers optional congregational participation and may be used to provide a responsorial to the Word of God or a preparation for the Table. The choir sings this stanza in four part harmony as the congregation joins on the melody. It stays in a major key and closely follows the traditional consonances used in Lowell Mason’s harmonization; thus, the choral parts will feel familiar and the congregational melody will flow naturally. Take the text literally (Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.) and sing it firmly, enthusiastically, passionately, but never triumphantly. Sing it as a song of personal devotion to commit all that you have, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, to the one who humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Phil 2:8b) so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor 5:21)The music is well within the grasp of any ensemble competent with traditional SATB anthems. The piano/organ accompaniments are straightforward yet very colorful. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross is an unapologetic Christian worship anthem suitable for sacred services, yet does not compromise on artistic expression. The parts provided in this version include a full score, a piano-vocal octavo (which may be performed alone), and organ and timpani/percussion parts. Neither organ or timpani are required but adding either or both provides a deep and rich experience. Parts for reduced orchestra (strings and single winds) are available separately.

Brass Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.999619 Composed by Peter Benoit. Arranged by Marc Goris. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 15 pages. Brassery Publications #6025981. Published by Brassery Publications (A0.999619). The Duke of Alva's entry into Brussels from The Pacification of Ghent, duration : 2 min music : Peter Benoit arr. : Marc Goris Peter Benoit composed music based on the historical drama with the title 'De Pacificatie van Gent' by Emiel Van Goethem. Because of the combination of drama and music he defined the piece as a lyrical drama. He completed The Pacification of Ghent on 11 July 1876, the world premiere happening on 3 September at the Ghent Municipal Theatre. On 8 November 1576 a treaty was proclaimed from the balcony of the city hall in Ghent between the different regions of the southern and the northern Netherlands. This Pacification of Ghent occurred after the revolt against the Spanish occupation of Philip the Second and was the great ideal of William of Orange: he was striving for unity in the seventeen provinces in the Netherlands as well as for freedom of religion. Furthermore the treaty stipulated that the Spanish troops were to be removed from the Netherlands. Although this treaty was observed for only three years, the Pacification was embellished with a mythical aura in the Flanders of the 19th century. King Philip II sent the Duke of Alva to Brussels on 22 August 1567, at the head of a powerful army. On arrival, Alva replaced Margaret of Parma, the sister of the Spanish king, as head of the civil jurisdiction. He decided that the local nobility was in open rebellion against the king and supported the new Protestant teachings, heresy in his view. A few days later, on 5 September 1567, Alva established the Council of Troubles, popularly known in the Netherlands as the Court of Blood, to prosecute those responsible for the riots of 1566, especially those who were deemed heretics. Alba also targeted the local Catholic nobility, who favoured dialogue and opposed outside intervention. Two of the three heads of the Flemish nobility, the Count of Egmont, a Catholic General for Philip II, who had led the cavalry that defeated the French at the Battle of San Quentin, and Philip de Montmorency, Count of Horn, were arrested. The court sentenced both counts to death. The Major of Antwerpen, Anthony van Stralen, Lord of Merksem and Jan van Casembroot were other famous victims of the bloody repression, along with a large group of other heretics. The condemned persons were executed on 5 June 1568 in the Town Hall Square in Brussels. Alva had little confidence in Flemish justice, which he perceived as sympathetic to the defendants, and witnessed the executions in person.
