Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1245807 Composed by Words: Johann Franck, tr. Catherine Winkworth / Music: Lyndell Leatherman. Arranged by Lyndell Leatherman. Advent,Christian,Religious,Sacred. Octavo. 1 pages. Leatherman Music Services #840637. Published by Leatherman Music Services (A0.1245807). This is the four-part hymn-style edition of this Eucharistic hymn, to facilitate congregational singing. As far as I am concerned, you may purchase the minimum amount of copies that SheetMusicPlus will allow, and then freely duplicate the song sheet for inclusion in worship bulletins. Other editions are available:A FESTIVAL CHOIR arrangement of this hymn is available here: https://www.arrangeme.com/title/436143A PIANO/ORGAN Duet of the hymn is available here: https://www.arrangeme.com/title/436144Here are some program notes: Johann Franck (1618-1677) was born in Guben, Germany, the son of a lawyer. Like his father, Johann studied law at the University of Konigsburg, where–in addition to his studies–he developed a warm friendship with a group of hymnists and poets. Returning home, he began his law practice and eventually became mayor of Guben. As an avocation, the Lutheran politician wrote poems–and soonbecame known as one of the leading hymnists of his time, ranked only behind Gerhard. He is credited for the creation of a group of so-called Jesus hymns, building the foundation for the pietistic hymn movement that would later sweep through Europe. Franck once wrote that poetry should be the nurse of piety, the herald of immortality, the promoter of cheerfulness, the conqueror of sadness, and a foretaste of heavenly glory. Indeed, his hymns echoed his own spirit of encouragement.Lyndell Leatherman (b. 1953) was born into a Nazarene parsonage in southeast Kansas. After studying church music and composition at Olivet Nazarene University (Kankakee, Illinois) and Illinois State University (Bloomington-Normal, Illinois), he launched into a life of music ministry. Since 1977 he has enjoyed a diverse career as church musician, editor, accompanist, composer, and arranger. In 1998 he became aware of Franck’s eucharistic / Advent hymn, translated either Deck Thyself with Joy and Gladness (Mattes) or Deck Thyself, My Soul, with Gladness (Winkworth). Because the text was unique in its unusually exultant treatment of the sacrament of holy communion, Lyndell felt that the hymn was worthy of renewed consideration in the third millennium of Christian worship. So he updated the language and gave it the new musical setting used here. ************It has long been my passion and privilege to create customized arrangements for the churches and schools with whom I have been associated. Many were published; some were not. During the 2020 slowdown caused by Covid-19, I finally had the time to start posting the unpublished resources on Sheet Music Plus. If you are curious about what else is available, please navigate to my publisher page here on SMP < https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/leatherman-music-services/16718 >  or slip over to Facebook < https://www.facebook.com/leathermanmusicservices >, where you can see and hear many of my published works. Thanks for your interest!   God bless!Lyndell Leatherman, ASCAP.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.935515 Composed by Shaun Parry. Sacred. Score. 1 pages. MusicforMillions #5754989. Published by MusicforMillions (A0.935515). THIS IS AN ORIGINAL (simple) SONG I WROTE FOR MY MOM AND SISTER To be clear, it is a prayer written in musical form. I guess that makes it a psalm. A few nights ago I was feeling the pain of so many people around the globe who are suffering due to the pandemic. I was inspired to sit down and write an simple song of comfort for them-for us. The very same evening I started writing the song, unbeknownst to me, my sister was being taken to the hospital where she collapsed of heart failure and was life-flighted to the nearest cardiovascular facility. They put her on life support (ECMO and ventilator) to let her heart and lungs rest. Two days later, due to complications with circulation in her leg she had to be rushed into emergency surgery to pull the catheter from the artery leading to her heart. This required taking her off of life support four days earlier than they had planned. We were informed she may not make it. Thanks to thousands of people praying for her, and her own indomitable spirit, she pulled through-but not without more complications.A fever kicked in and lack of circulation in her other leg caused even more concern. Her heart and body were suffering greatly. As we prayed (and thousands of you from around the world prayed with us) I kept massaging and nuancing the exact melody line I wanted, at the same time interweaving various lyrics to intuit what felt right. I wanted this to be a song anyone could sing for their beloved family member or friend who was struggling. Every note, every syllable had to land just right-as if it was meant to be.Through all this my mother was going through her own bit of personal anguish. We were basically waiting for my sister to die. Due to COVID regulations nobody, not even family, could visit her in ICU. My mother bought a plane ticket... just in case. We hoped beyond hope that, If she died, she would not die alone. I wanted to finish this song by Mother's Day to share with my mother and my dear struggling sister who is also a mother of 5. I finished it and sang it through tears on Mother's Day. I have many friends show speak Spanish who are going through very difficult times due to COVID-19 and the subsequent quarantine. The second time through is a carefully crafted Spanish translation. I hope to hear people singing this far and wide with, to and for each other.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1470292 By Bruno Mars. By Ari Levine, Bruno Mars, Khalil Walton, Khari Cain, and Philip Lawrence. Arranged by Tabitha Beaven. A Cappella,Children,Instructional,Pop. Score. 6 pages. Tabitha Beaven #1048055. Published by Tabitha Beaven (A0.1470292). Part of a 'Pop Song Layer-Up' series - these arrangements are designed to be fun, warm-up songs for choirs, singing or vocal groups or a quick, easy-win fun filler song. A #PopSongLayerUp is designed to be experimented with, taking elements of a song and layering them to see what new harmonies and rhythms can be created. There are multiple ways it can be explored to build confidence, listening skills and focus. Vocal group leaders can experiment with dynamics, tempo, key changes, different genres/styles of singing using a familiar song as a foundation. Two versions have been provided, Version 1 shows each part stacked to play around with layering and Version 2 is a single part flow with four entry points and an optional finish section ('long-form round'). We know that rounds and partner songs provide great brain training and stretch for singers to concentrate on their part, understand where it fits into the whole and not be swayed by the multiple notes and rhythms moving around their line. A 'Key Chart' with chords / note range is provided in four different keys to help decide which is the most suitable for your vocal group and see if you need to drop an octave for lower voices. Although a starter structure is provided, group leaders are encouraged to mess around with it, try different layers together and have fun creating something new from something familiar. Huge scope for adding fun body percussion beats to keep time, or simple finger clicks. Most important is to have fun with a #PopSongLayerUp! And if you share your group on social media, please add the hashtags #PopSongLayerUp #PopRound and tag @tunefultabitha - would love to hear what you come up with! #PopSongLayerUp #PopRound #Round #PartnerSong #ListeningSkills #Concentration #BrainTraining #Synergy #Dynamics #VocalSkills #WarmUp #ChoirWarmUp.

Folk Songs For Classical Guitar - Volume 34 (Songs 892-918)
Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167701 Composed by Tr…
(+)
Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167701 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 42 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #768069. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1167701). This is the thirtieth-fourth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all  volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view.Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 34 (Songs 892-918)Villikins and his DinahWaltzing MatildaWark o’ the Weavers (the)Water of Tyne (the)Watercress Girl (the)Watts’s Cradle Song 1Watts’s Cradle Song 2Watts’s Cradle Song 3We Wish You A Merry ChristmasWe’ve been a while a-wanderingWealthy Young Farmer (the)Weaver (the)Westering HomeWhat is the life of a manWhat You Gonna Call Yo’ Pretty Little BabyWhen Adam was First CreatedWhen Jones’s Ale was NewWhile Shepherds Watched (Liverpool)Whilst The Gamekeepers Lie SleepingWhite CockadeWhite Hare (the)Who will you give me to sail awayWho’ll be King but CharlieWho’s the fool nowWiddecombe FairWild Moor (the)Wild White Rose (the).

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522222 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Folk,Holiday. Score. 21 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #3913261. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.522222). These folk song arrangements are written in the Welsh language. The vocal range is from Middle C to F on the top line of the staff. They are suitable for mezzo soprano and could also be sung by tenor voice an octave lower. They are among some of the most popular folk songs of Wales and sure to be well received at a vocal recital. They would also make excellent encore pieces. For copyright reasons, English translations are not provided, although some are to be found on various web pages. 1. Y Ddau Farch (The Two Mares) The song tells the story of two horses. The older one tells the younger, “In my day I was as good a horse as youâ€. But when I became too old to work, I was sent away to the mountains. She vows never to return to her cruel owners. This is an example of a macaronic song in which the lyrics use more than one language. 2. Si Hei Lwli, ’Mabi (Sleep, my Lovely Baby) In this pentatonic lullaby, a mother tells her child that their ship is moving away, the captain is on board, the eastern wind is blowing and the seagull is on its nest. 3. Canu Cwnsela (Wassail Song) The singers ask permission to come in and sing for their dinner. But they seem to have chosen the wrong house because the reply is: “I have no dinner or money to spend, to give you a welcome tonight.†The melody is in the Dorian Mode. 4. Robin Ddiog (Lazy Robin) The song, also in the Aeolian mode is about a robin whose little house is always tidy. “Open the door a little bit, so that I can see the sea and the waves†he asks. When the door is opened, the breeze sweeps away all the leaves from the floor. 5. Migildi Magildi “When the smithy’s door is open, we can see the blacksmith working.†The song describes the sights and sounds of the blacksmith’s workshop. You can hear all the songs in the audio demo, though they are played by an oboe rather than sung.

With its catchy melody and playful lyrics, it captures the carefree spirit of a night out with friends. Shaboozey’s blend of acoustic guitar, vocals, and infectious rhythm makes this song a crowd favorite. Key Features: Vocal Clarity and Chord Symbols: The vocal line is clearly notated, allowing singers to express the playful lyrics. Above, you’ll find simplified chord symbols for guitarists to strum along. Harmonic Simplicity: The song’s heart lies in its four recurring chords. We’ve captured that simplicity, making it accessible for beginners and seasoned players alike. Rhythmic Feel: The arrangement mirrors the guitar’s rhythmic vibe, emphasizing the left-hand bass part. Harmonic rhythm variations between sections add interest and progression. Violin/Fiddle Melody: The piano part weaves in the captivating violin/fiddle melody from the recording, elevating the overall experience. Difficulty Levels: Guitarists: Beginner-friendly, with the challenge of an F#m barre chord. Simplify further by using a regular E chord or employing a capo (we also have lead sheeat with a Guitar Chord Sheet you can also purchase). Vocalists: The melody’s modest range suits most voices. Transposition may be necessary for specific vocal registers. Pianists: Intermediate level—simple yet engaging accompaniment. Not recommended for absolute beginners. Who is this for? 1. String Ensemble,String Quintet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813717 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 10 pages. Regis Bookshar #6474561. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813717). Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets) (String Quintet) - Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts and recitals but if you are considering using this selection for church services in which a congregation may sing along, I would suggest that you look for the arrangements of either I Vow to Thee, My Country, O God, Beyond All Praising, O Spirit All Embracing or Thaxted, also by Regis Bookshar. They are all based on the same excerpt from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets. These arrangements are suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing these selections as well. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (9 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. We have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The Planets, written between 1914 and 1917 by the English composer Gustav Holst, premiered at the Queen's Hall in London, on September 29, 1918 for an invited audience of about 250 people. In the fourth movement, Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity, Holst portrays Jupiter's supposedly characteristic abundance of life and vitality. Nobility and generosity are allegedly characteristics of those born under Jupiter, and in the slower, middle section marked Andante Maestoso, perhaps the most well-known theme from The Planets (and the theme on which this arrangement is based), Holst provides a broad tune embodying these traits. In 1921, Holst adapted the theme to fit the patriotic poem I Vow to Thee, My Country by Cecil Spring Rice, and was written as a unison song with orchestra. It did not appear as the hymn tune until 1926, when Holst harmonized this melody, named Thaxted, named after the English village where he had lived for many years. Holst's friend Ralph Vaughan Williams included it in Songs of Praise. It has since been performed at numerous occasions, most notably for the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales in 1981, and also at the funerals of Princess Diana in 1997, Margaret Thatcher in 2013 and Senator John McCain where it was performed at the Washington National Cathedral on September 1, 2018. In addition to being used as the melody for the solemn, patriotic hymn I Vow to Thee, My Country, other settings of this hymn tune also include O God, Beyond All Praising, by Michael Perry in 1982, O Spirit All Embracing by Delores Dufner in 1995 and We Praise You and Acknowledge You, O God, a paraphrase of the Te Deum Laudemus by Stephen P. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a String Quintet, consisting of 2 Violins, 1 Viola (which has the lead), 1 Violoncello and 1 Double Bass, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. There are Quintets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Jupiter based.

String Ensemble,String Quintet Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.813719 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 9 pages. Regis Bookshar #6474563. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813719). Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a String Quintet, consisting of 2 Violins (one of which has the lead), 1 Viola, 1 Violoncello and 1 Double Bass, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Jupiter.

Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to the Trumpet Quintet version and this version for a Bassoon Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Jupiter based on the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav.
