Choral Choir,Choral (SATB Chorus) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1514821 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. 2 pages. Kevin G. Pace #1089315. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1514821). A magnificent, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:When confidence seems to wane and you need God’s aid,Seek his perfect insight; with you He will stay.Trust in his omniscient care from your spirit birth. As you pray in meekness, He’ll reveal your worth. When sorrow surrounds your soul and you feel alone,Kneel before your Father; kneel before his throne.Trust in his redeeming love; He will give you peace. As you seek his guidance, comfort will increase. When darkness obscures God’s light and your sight seems dim,Seek his holy presence; search your heart within.Find his everlasting light; He will be your guide.Trust in his pure power; in his love abide. When prayers are uttered with faith and a contrite heart,God will bless your efforts and his love impart. He will offer his sure strength; He makes all things new.As you trust Him fully, He will come to you.Seek his holy presence; He will come to you.

Mixed Percussion Accordion,Acoustic Guitar,Electric Bass Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1105293 By David Kai. By David Kai. Arranged by David Kai. Celtic,Comedy,Country,Folk,Irish. Full Performance. Duration 190. David Kai #708538. Published by David Kai (A0.1105293). A song about a famous symbol of Newfoundland - the Newfoundland dog. This song features the use of an Ugly Stick, a traditional Newfoundland percussion instrument. You Can’t Tell a Newfie words and music by David Kai ©1990 No you can’t tell a Newfie a thing he should do To sit or to stay or to come back to you He’s hairy and slobbery, as strong as a horse It’s the Newfoundland dog that I sing of, of course. He’s the kind of a dog that will never be scared For to serve and protect he was bred and prepared And there’s many a swimmer whose life has been spared By the Newfoundland dog, who’s like a lifeguard with hair. But you can’t tell a Newfie a thing he should do To sit or to stay or to come back to you He’s hairy and slobbery, as strong as a horse It’s the Newfoundland dog that I sing of, of course. You can hook up a Newfie to a cart or a sleigh It will bear all your burdens, not tiring all day It can carry a line from a boat to the land To rescue the perishing, saving all hands But you can’t tell a Newfie a thing it should do To sit or to stay or to come back to you It’s hairy and slobbery, as strong as a horse It’s the Newfoundland dog that I sing of, of course. She is strong but so gentle, a real teddy bear But there won’t be a place where you won’t find her hair She will care for the children, watch them just like a Mum And keep them in safety ‘til labours are done But you can’t tell a Newfie a thing she should do To sit or to stay or to come back to you She’s hairy and slobbery, as strong as a horse It’s the Newfoundland dog that I sing of, of course. Grim #4331275. Published by Adam B. Grim (A0.939366). The marimba piece All Good Things Start With a Dream comes from seeing the sunrise and sunset across many places in the United States during Ohio Northern’s National Singers Tour of 2016. As I was sitting in the back of our host’s car, my friend Shawn was talking to our gracious host about his aspirations of becoming a teacher even though he was starting later in life. During the conversation, we were driving across the prairie to the home we would be staying in. As our host said, Follow your dreams, and your life will never be boring Shawn replied, Oh definitely. I believe that all good things start with a dream. That is the inspiration for this piece. Sunrise, inspiration, and a dream.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.914315 Composed by James Mountain and American Spiritual. Arranged by Heather Knezevich. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 4 pages. Songs of Praise #6273063. Published by Songs of Praise (A0.914315). This advanced piano arrangement features a hymn (Like a River Glorious) and an American Spiritual (We Shall Walk through the Valley in Peace) on the theme of God's Peace. Written in the style of Chopin's Nocturne in F Major, Op. 15, No. 1, it features a simple melodic line with a LH triplet bass. The middle section changes key and mood as the spiritual begins, with more intensity and motion. The opening section repeats and then continues to the final coda. The piece is suitable for piano solo, church prelude, or recital piece. It reflects on the reassuring peace of knowing God.Like a river glorious is God's perfect peace // Over all victorious in its bright increase;//Perfect, yet it floweth fuller ev'ry day;// Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way.//Stayed upon Jehovah, Hearts are fully blest // Finding as He promised, Perfect peace and rest. The spiritual gives the simple, but profound truth that Jesus will help us through the valleys of life.We shall walk through the valley in peace; we shall walk through the valley in peace.Refrain: If Jesus himself shall be our leader, we shall walk through the valley in peace.I am an independent composer, piano teacher, and church pianist. This is one of many arrangements I have written for church. I would love to hear your feedback on my arrangements!

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.701439). An original hymn. SATB. 3 verses. The text by Mark Fotheringham below beautifully teaches the importance of seeking the spirit.YouTube video: https://youtu.be/KuA5ro5NGUM1. Kneeling in darkness, searching for answers, pondering questions, and looking for light.Seek for the Spirit. He will reveal to you, leading you onto the path of the right. There in the silence, softly He whispers, reaching inside to inspire the heart, He will uncover wisdom and mercy, silently speaking, all truth to impart. 2. In pain or anguish, suffering sorrow, longing for comfort, in search of relief. Jesus, our Savior, sent forth a Comforter, giving you strength to endure every grief. Staying beside you, He'll never leave you, even when all men far from you have flown. Whispering softly, Christ knows your suff'ring, helping you know you are never alone. 3. Living the gospel, praying for guidance, searching the scriptures, preparing to teach. Ask for the Spirit. He'll testify to all, truth ever piercing each heart as you preach. One with The Father, one with our Savior, true revelation cannot be denied. Seek for the Spirit. Each day He'll point you back to our Father, with Him to reside.

Organ,Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1072082 Composed by Annie S. Hawks. Arranged by Jacob Hershberger. Christian,Sacred,Spiritual. Accompaniment. Duration 289. Jasberger Music #6009677. Published by Jasberger Music (A0.1072082). Jacob Hershberger performs his new arrangement of I Need Thee Every Hour on both the piano and organ.. Just not at the same time ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3D8ACXhnyU&feature=youtu.beThe softness of the piano and it's marriage to the organ make this a powerful arrangement with a lot of hidden spiritual messages in the arrangement. One such message is the differences in time in some of the organ and piano parts. The organ represents the us in the different stages of our lives. The piano represents Heavenly Father and his constant presence in our lives. He is always there steady and available, all we have to do is sync up with him through prayer and he will lead us ever onward through our mortal sojourn on earth. At the end of the video is the following scripture: Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen. ~2 Nephi 4:35 I hope you enjoy this beautiful arrangement of I need thee every hour. www.JasbergerMusic.com 1. I need thee ev’ry hour, Most gracious Lord. No tender voice like thine Can peace afford. [Chorus] I need thee, oh, I need thee; Ev’ry hour I need thee! Oh, bless me now, my Savior; I come to thee! 2. I need thee ev’ry hour; Stay thou nearby. Temptations lose their pow’r When thou art nigh. 3. I need thee ev’ry hour, In joy or pain. Come quickly and abide, Or life is vain. 4. I need thee ev’ry hour, Most holy One. Oh, make me thine indeed, Thou blessed Son!

In the place Gethsemane, Jesus Christ so fair Spoke to His disciples there, Tarry here and watch with me. Falling on his loving face, Praying fervently; His Father’s will to offer grace; Suff’ring willingly. 2. Cometh then, He finds asleep Those he left to spare Agony and pain so rare Of his gift, that they may reap. Could’st thou not one hour stay Watchful as the meek? Thy spirit, willing, longs to pray For the flesh so weak. 3. Time would meet Eternity As He prayed to God. Angels sing of glory, laud, Honor born of charity. Drinking of the bitter cup; Father’s will be done. Determined he would lift us up; Thus did God’s own son. 4. Now I’m asked to watch and pray, Offer all my heart. I will choose the better part, That I might abide the day. Father help my heart to know; Help my eyes to see; Unveil and guide my wand ’ring soul T’ward Eternity

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.998356 Composed by Aaron Fonzi. Children,Contemporary,Rock,Standards. Score and parts. 27 pages. Aaron Fonzi #3367893. Published by Aaron Fonzi (A0.998356). This piece tells the epic story of Hades' abduction of his niece, Persephone. According to the legend, Hades came up through a crack in the ground and snatched the girl while she was playing. In the Underworld, he tried to seduce her in a variety of ways, but to no avail. Finally, Hades is said to have tricked her into staying by offering her a tempting pomegranate. As Persephone ate 6 seeds, she was to stay in the Underworld for six months each year. It is said that while Persphone is in the Underworld, the plants wither and die, and when she comes back to the surface she brings rebirth to growing things. This piece begins with playful pizzicato lines that build upon each other. These represent Persphone at play, but forebodes the dark forces that are encircling her. When the orchestra goes to arco, Persphone is being dragged into the Underworld. A mournful violin solo signifies her arrival, but this mournful theme is quickly replace by the devious seductions of Hades in the form of a humorous waltz. Finally, Hades offers the pomegranate to Persephone and she eats 6 seeds (represented by the six beats of the B major chord in measures 76 and 77). The main theme then takes over once again, modulating to F# minor to represent Hades' victory. With relentless energy, catchy ostinati and opportunities to work on shifting, pizzicato and arco throughout, this piece will not dissapoint for audiences and students alike. A FEW NOTES: 1. I'd recommend rehearsing the rhythms of recurring ostinati together- first pizzicato then arco. You may get creative and incorporate scales with these rhythms. However you do it, it'll be important that each ostinato is played with precision and confidence. 2. Have fun with the waltz section! It's meant to portray the strange, whimsical nature of Hades' attempts to woo Persephone, so the awkwardness in delivery is encouraged! 3. All ritardandos should be exaggerated for the sake of drama. 4. Encourage your drumset player to explore different ways of accompanying the orchestra- the drumset part is a blueprint, not definitive instructions. 5. Be sure to practice shifting into 2nd position for the modulation. I hope you and your students have a great time putting this epic piece together! I had a ton of fun writing it! ~Aaron Fonzi

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.794134 By Steve Lawrence. By Carole King and Gerry Goffin. Arranged by Dave Gingras, John E. Dosher. Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #6596527. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.794134). Go Away Little Girl is a popular song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. It was first recorded by Bobby Vee for Liberty Records on March 28, 1962. The lyrics consist of a young man asking a young attractive woman to stay away from him, so that he will not be tempted to betray his steady girlfriend by kissing her. This contemporary version features a root-based chord-blocking technique that John and I have used in many of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills to keep the rhythm going - we hope you like what we did with this version.

Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1473773 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Colin Kirkpatrick. Folk,Historic,Traditional. 20 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #1051492. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.1473773). This is one of the most popular and best-loved folksongs of all time, made famous by Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and many others. The song is in the Dorian mode and thought to have originated over four hundred years ago. Scarborough (SKAH-buh-ruh) is an English coastal town in the county of Yorkshire. It was occupied by the Romans during the fourth and fifth centuries but today has become the largest holiday resort on the Yorkshire coast with a thriving fishing industry. There are many different versions of the lyrics and by the end of the 19th century, dozens of variants existed. The repeated chorus of “parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme” is significant. In olden times, these herbs had medicinal purposes. In addition, parsley was associated with comfort, sage with strength, rosemary with love and thyme with courage. The song takes the form of a melancholy dialogue between two individuals who were once lovers but now live separate lives. Each of them asks the listener to pass on a message to the other. The young man requests impossible tasks from his former lover, saying that if she can perform them, he will take her back. In return, she requests equally impossible things of him, saying she will perform her tasks when he performs his. The fact that all the tasks are impossible seems to imply that neither of them have any intention of becoming reunited. This arrangement stays well within the instrumental ranges and attempts to reflect the melancholy feeling of the lyrics. This arrangement would make a splendid encore piece for a recital.

Easy Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.920576 Composed by Elizabeth Essex. Children,Instructional. Score. 8 pages. Elizabeth Essex #6626591. Published by Elizabeth Essex (A0.920576). Doggie Tales for Piano is a set of fun musical stories meant to entertain preschoolers while reiterating reading skills. These books use finger number and rhythmic notation, and gradually integrate alpha notation. This series is built to correlate with preschool piano method books such as Wunderkeys Piano for Preschoolers, Faber’s My First Piano Adventures, or Alfred’s Music for Little Mozarts. Each method book series works well for preschool-age kids when they are ready to learn something new, but what about when they aren’t? Very young children constantly need new material and activities to stay engaged, but often aren’t ready for the next step in a lesson book. Marshall's Big Day, the first book in the series, follows the Labrador Marshall as he follows his big sister through her basketball-filled day. Young students will enjoy the story and illustrations as they practice reading on the black keys. Book 1 Skills - Practice with pre-reader finger number and rhythmic notation, playing one hand at a time, on two black keys. See my other arrangements: Sheet Music Press (copyrighted music available)

Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148567 Composed by Music by Richard Milburn. Arranged by F. Leslie Smith. Country,Folk,Historic,Traditional. 27 pages. Sweetwater Brass Press #748729. Published by Sweetwater Brass Press (A0.1148567). Listen to the Mocking Bird was first published in 1855. The melody originated with Richard Milburn, a Philadelphia African-American who has been described variously as a panhandling busker and as a musically inclined barber. A songwriter and publisher by the name of Septimus Winner heard Milburn's tune, arranged it, added words, put it into print and claimed credit for its creation under the pseudonym Alice Hawthorne. Supposedly, Winner sold the rights to the song for five dollars. Listen to the Mocking Bird grew to be one of the most popular songs of the mid-19th century, a real hit. Its sheet music, by one estimate, sold more than 20 million copies. It was sung and performed particularly often during the Civil War, and troops used its melody as a marching tune. It remains somewhat of a standard and has been recorded numerous times, especially as a favorite of bluegrass musicians. In the lyrics, the singer is remembering his loved one. She has passed away but he recalls their good life together. They particularly enjoyed the call of the mocking bird, which even now is singing o'er her grave. This arrangement opens in E-flat major with Trumpet 1 introducing the sweetly sad melody, I'm dreaming now of Hally. After the introduction, the tempo picks up to allegro and whirls along. It does slow down several times, and there are four one-measure deviations from the 4/4 time signature: one 6/4, two 2/4s and one 1/4. At measure 65, the key changes to B-flat major for the finale. Trumpets 1 and 2 each play one A-above-their-staff eighth note as their highest pitch; the rest of the music stays well within the normal playing range of the five instruments. Completed in 2022, performance time runs about 3 minutes, 23 seconds. The arranger, Les Smith, will be happy to provide substitute parts (for example, treble clef baritone for trombone) at no charge. He would like to receive your suggestions, comments, corrections and criticisms. Published by Edition Craig Hanson (A0.1270160). For TTBB chorus a cappella and solo voice. As performed by Arlo Guthrie.Wanna hear something? You know that Indians never ate clams. They didn't have linguini! And so what happened was that clams was allowed to grow unmolested in the coastal waters of America for millions of years. And they got big, and I ain't talking about clams in general, I'm talking about each clam! Individually. I mean each one was a couple of million years old or older. So imagine they could have got bigger than this whole room. And when they get that big, God gives them little feet so that they could walk around easier. And when they get feet, they get dangerous. I'm talking about real dangerous. I ain't talking about sitting under the water waiting for you. I'm talking about coming after you.Imagine being on one of them boats coming over to discover America, like Columbus or something, standing there at night on watch, everyone else is either drunk or asleep. And you're watching for America and the boat's going up and down. And you don't like it anyhow but you gotta stand there and watch, for what? Only he knows, and he ain't watching. You hear the waves lapping against the side of the ship. The moon is going behind the clouds. You hear the pitter patter of little footprints on deck. ‘Is that you kids?’ It ain't! My god! It's this humongous, giant clam!Imagine those little feet coming on deck. A clam twice the size of the ship. Feet first. You're standing there shivering with fear, you grab one of these. This is a belaying pin. They used to have these stuck in the holes all around the ship… You probably didn't know what this is for; you probably had an idea, but you were wrong. They used to have these stuck in the holes all along the sides of the ship, everywhere. You wouldn't know what this is for unless you was that guy that night.I mean, you'd grab this out of the hole, run on over there, bam bam on them little feet! Back into the ocean would go a hurt, but not defeated, humongous, giant clam. Ready to strike again when opportunity was better. You know not even the coastal villages was safe from them big clams. You know them big clams had an inland range of about 15 miles. Think of that. I mean our early pioneers and the settlers built little houses all up and down the coast you know. A little inland and stuff like that and they didn't have houses like we got now, with bathrooms and stuff. They built little privies out back. And late at night, maybe a kid would have to go, and he'd go stomping out there in the moonlight. And all they'd hear for miles around...(loud clap/belch).... One less kid for America. One more smiling, smurking, humongous, giant clam.So Americans built forts. Them forts --you know—them pictures of them forts with the wooden points all around. You probably thought them points was for Indians but that's stupid! 'Cause Indians know about doors. But clams didn't. Even if a clam knew about a door, so what? A clam couldn't fit in a door. I mean, he'd come stomping up to a fort at night, put them feet on them points, jump back crying, tears coming out of them everywhere. But Americans couldn't live in forts forever. You couldn't just build one big fort around America. How would you go to the beach? So what they did was they formed groups of people. I mean they had groups of people all up and down the coast form these little alliances. Like up North it was call the Clamshell Alliance. And farther down South it was called the Catfish Alliance. They had these Alliances all up and down the coast defending themselves against these threatening monsters. These humongous giant clams. Andt hey'd go out there, if there was maybe fifteen of them they'd be singing songs in fifteen part harmony. And when one part disappeared, that's how they knew where the clam would be.Which is why Americans only sing in four part harmony to this very day. That proved to be too dangerous. See, what they did was they'd be singing these songs called Clam Chanties, and they'd have these big spears called clampoons. And they'd be walking up and down the beach and the method they eventually devised where they'd have this guy, the most strongest heavy duty true blue American, courageous type dude they could find and they'd have him out there walking up and down the beach by himself with other chicken dudes hiding behind the sand dunes somewhere. He'd be singing the verses. They'd be singing the chorus, and clams would hear 'em. And clams hate music. So clams would come out of the water and they'd come after this one guy. And all you'd see pretty soon was flying all over the sand flying up and down the beach manmanclamclammanmanclam manclamclamman up and down the beach going this way and that way up the hills in the water out of the water behind the trees everywhere. Finally the man would jump over a big sand dune, roll over the side, the clam would come over the dune, fall in the hole and fourteen guys would come out there and stab the shit out of him with their clampoons. That's the way it was. That was one way to deal with them. The other way was to weld two clams together. [I don't believe it. I'm losing it. Hey. What can you do. Another night shot to hell.] Hey, this was serious back then. This was very serious. I mean these songs now are just piddly folk songs. But back then these songs were controversial. These was radical, almost revolutionary songs. Because times was different and clams was a threat to America. That's right. So we want to sing this song tonight about the one last... You see what they did was there was one man, he was one of these men, his name will always be remembered, his name was Reuben Clamzo, and he was one of the last great clam men there ever was. He stuck the last clam stab. The last clampoon into the last clam that was ever seen on this continent. Knowing he would be out of work in an hour. He did it anyway so that you and me could go to the beach in relative safety. That's right. Made America safe for the likes of you and me. And so we sing this song in his memory. He went into whaling like most of them guys did and he got out of that, when he died. You know, clams was much more dangerous than whales. Clams can run in the water, on the water or on the ground, and they are so big sometimes that they can jump and they can spread their kinda shells and kinda almost fly like one of them flying squirrels. You could be standing there thinking that your perfectly safe and all of a sudden whop.... That's true... And so this is the song of this guy by the name of Reuben Clamzo and the song takes place right after he stabbed this clam and the clam was, going through this kinda death dance over on the side somewhere. The song starts there and he goes into whaling and takes you through the next...I sing the part of the guy on the beach by himself. I go like this: Poor old Reuben Clamzo and you go Clamzo Boys Clamzo. That's the part of the fourteen chicken dudes over on the other side. That's what they used to sing. They'd be calling these clams out of the water. Like taunting them making fun of them. Clams would get real mad and come out. Here we go. I want you to sing it in case you ever have an occasion to join such an alliance. You know some of these alliances are still around. Still defending America against things like them clams. If you ever wants to join one, now you have some historic background. So you know where these guys are coming from. It's not just some 60's movement or something, these things go back a long time.Notice the distinction you're going to have to make now between the first and easy Clamzo Boys Clamzo and the more complicated Clamzo Me Boys Clamzo. Stay serious! Folk songs are serious. That's what Pete Seeger told me. Arlo I only want to tell you one thing... Folk songs are serious. I said right. Let's do it in C for Clam...Iet's do it in B... For boy that's a big clam... Iet' s do it in G for Gee, I hope that big clam don't see me. Let's do it in F... For …he sees me. Let's do it back in A...for a clam is coming. Better get this song done quick. The Story of Reuben Clamzo and His Strange Daughter in the Key of A.

Brass Ensemble,Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1202140 Composed by Johanna Hall and John Hall. Arranged by F. Leslie Smith. John Hall and his then-wife Johanna had written several hit songs for John's group, Orleans.  Johanna wanted to create a song in the 1950s doo-wop style she so admired.  They did, and their composition described a certain Miss Grace who enchanted the lyricist with her “satin and perfume and lace.† The problem was: that song really did not fit in with Orleans' pop rock repertoire and image.  Meanwhile, The Tymes, a Philadelphia group, was looking for a number that might revive its popularity.  So when the Miss Grace song was suggested they decided to take it on. This was the mid-1970s, just when the honorific Ms. was growing in use.  So The Tymes changed the song's title to “Ms. Grace.† Released as a single, the song did very well in the UK, topping the chart at number one in January 1975.  Written in 4/4 time, this brass quintet version flows along at about 104 BPM.  Beginning notation instructs that eighth-note pairs are to be played so that the first note is about twice as long as the second; in other words, swing style.  It retains the original D major key, but gives most of the melody to Horn and Trombone an octave lower so that it stays within normal playing range of the group.  The nature of the song is such that there are a number of phrases that begin with off-beat pickup notes. Trumpets provide accents and flourishes and occasionally take over the melody for a few measures.  Tuba really does the most work, playing through almost the entire piece.  Completed in 2023, performance time runs about 3 minutes, 3 seconds. The arranger, Les Smith, will be happy to provide substitute parts (for example, treble clef baritone for trombone) at no charge.  He would like to receive your suggestions, comments, corrections and criticisms.  For more arrangements by Les, enter Sweetwater Brass Press (without the quotation marks) in the Sheet Music Plus or Sheet Music Direct search box.  (Also, purchase of this piece entitles you to your choice of another of his arrangements at no charge; send a copy of your purchase receipt directly to him at lessmith61@bellsouth.net.).
