Added by bernard-dewagtere, 11 Sep 2009 O Christmas tree is a Christmas carol of German origin. Its title is: O Tannenbaum. The most famous version is based on a traditional music and a 1824 text written in German by Ernst Anschütz, organist and professor at Leipzig. The first known version of the words date from 1550, another version was composed in 1615 by Melchior Franck. This song has been translated into many languages.
