Added by alastair-lewis, 16 May 2011 This traditional piece for recorder is a playful melody and ideal for an beginner player. There are some interesting off-beat rythms to test the learners musicality. Find a PDF file containing sheet music and an MP3 to listen to. The recorder is a woodwind instrument and member of the family known as fipple flutes or internal duct flutes. The fipple or block is a wooden plug found at the mouth of the instrument. This plug constricts the air as the player blows into the end of the instrument. There are holes for seven fingers, with the lower one or two often doubled to facilitate the production of semi-tones. There is also a hole for the thumb of the uppermost hand. Sheet central : | Liza Jane (19 sheet music) | |
