| Added by alastair-lewis, 16 Dec 2011 The lyrics of the Christmas Carol "Angels from the Realms of Glory" were written by the Scottish poet James Montgomery. It was first printed in 1816 but only became popular after it was publish"The Christian Psalmist"; and in the Religious Tract Society's "The Christmas Box" or "New Year's Gift". It was initially sung to a variety of tunes including "Lewes" by John Randall, and "Wildersmouth" or "Feniton Court" by Edward Hopkins.
