Added by magataganm, 30 Nov 2014 Originally: "I Vow to Thee, My Country" was a British patriotic song created in 1921 when a poem by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice was set to music by Gustav Holst. Gustav Holst adapted the music from a section of Jupiter from his suite The Planets to create a setting for the poem. The music was extended slightly to fit the final two lines of the first verse. I modified the Lyrics set by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice in the first verse and created the second verse in service to our lord, Jesus Christ and offer this arrangement as "I Vow to Thee, My Lord". Sheet central : | I vow to thee, my country (4 sheet music) | |
