Born in 1955, he first practiced piano and then entered to the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris to follow the teaching of the Master Max Deutsch (disciple of Arnold Schoenberg) in class of composition , as well as Ginette Keller and Francine Aubin classes of harmony, counterpoint and fugue. Olivier Miquel holds four licenses of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in these matters. It then initiates the conducting with the conductor Alexander Myrat .
