He studied music and piano under the guidance of his father Friedrich, former conductor and thereafter at the Conservatory of Leipzig .
Assumed the role of the teacher in Hamburg and Leipzig, where he directed the Municipal Theatre, and then continued his career in Magdeburg and Berlin .
Among his most important works are: compositions for piano, a sonata for cello and piano; various works including Der Pfeifer von Dusebach and Schloss von Dusebach over the piano reduction of the works of Wagner. (Hide extended text)...(Read all)
