États-UnisGustav Saenger was born in New York City in 1865, and played violin with the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic, and the New York Symphony. He was Carl Fischer's editor-in-chief from 1907 until his death. He was a prolific transcriber, arranger, and editor. His pseudonym was W. F. Ambrosio. He died in 1935.
