J.C. Paton (1855 - 1886) Royaume-Uni J.C. Paton was "a well-known teacher of music in Edinburgh and a musician of considerable talent" (according to his obituary notice in The Musical Times, Oct. 1, 1886). Paton is buried in St. Cuthbert's churchyard in a family plot, where his children are also interred. Paton died young, at age 31; one of his children predeceased him (an infant, 6 weeks old), but his surviving children died young as well.
