Eric is a music graduate from the University of Hong Kong. He studied piano under the late Mr. Leung Hon Ming and Mr. Tam Ka Kit and is currently a music education professional, also the instructor, accompanist and organist for various choirs.
Eric has been actively composing and promoting Catholic sacred music for many years. Back in the early years of the establishment of the Diocesan Choir of the HK Diocese, Eric took up the post of Vice President and the President in 1989 and 1990-1992 respectively. He is also the founder and Music Director of the GsM (Gabriel's Message) Choir and has participated in various Sacred Choral CDs recording as the accompanist and music arranger for the Hong Kong Catholic Diocese. Eric has composed and arranged numerous sacred music, among them, his choral composition "The Oil Lamp" was awarded the 2nd Place in the First International Chinese Hymn Composition Contest held by The Radio Veritas Asia in 2014. Eric is currently an Organ Instructor of the courses held by the HK Diocesan Sacred Music Commission, a Liturgical Organist of the HK Catholic Diocese and the accompanist for the Diocesan Choir.
Eric has been a music teacher at the Wah Yan College, Kowloon and Tak Sun Secondary School, also a presenter of fine music and art news programme at the RTHK Radio 4 and programme assistant of music program at Hit 997 of Metro Broadcast; Currently, he is a part-time teacher at HKU SPACE, the Assistant Music Director of HKU Alumni Association Choir, the choral conductor of the HK Music Institute Choir, St. Francis Choir of Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Benji's Children Choir and a private teacher at the Gittith Arts Workshop.
