I've been an amateur musician for 60 odd years, beginning with piano, violin, and guitar. I switched to trumpet in senior high, and played it in a community band for about 30 years. Now I play flute in two community bands, a celtic trad group, and a flute ensemble. I began arranging for flute ensemble a few years ago, when I purchased an alto flute only to discover a very limited available repertoire. I've discovered I love arranging, almost as much as playing! Now that I'm retired, I've been devoting a lot of time to music - between arranging, practicing (I also like to keep up with guitar, banjo, and violin), and the four groups I'm involved with weekly, plus enjoying time with my grandkids, my life is pretty full :) (Hide extended text)...(Read all)
