Jose Welligton Sousa de Castro began his music studies in 2000 when he joined the Banda de Musica de Pindoretama Band of Music, playing the trombone. In 2002 and 2006, he toured Germany, performing at festivals such as the Duckstein-Festival in Kiel and Lübeck, the Pinneberg Summer Jazz Festival, the FIFA FAN FEST, the Altonale, the Kieler Woche, and the Wine Fest Pinneberg.
