Baffour-Awuah Oduro-Sarpong, popularly and affectionately called ‘BAOSa’ by many, is a young Seventh-Day Adventist Christian who hails from Nsuta-Kwamang in the Ashanti Region. Mr. Fred Oduro Sarpong, Mrs. Ernestina Owusu, Adwoa Adwubi Oduro-Sarpong, and Serwaa Berhene Oduro-Sarpong are his Father, Mother and Siblings respectively.
He started his basic education at Holy Land International School at Offinso in the Ashanti Region and completed his basic education at South Suntreso Adventist Preparatory School (S/S A.P.S) in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region. He gained admission to Prempeh College also in Kumasi (Ashanti Region) in 2011 to read General Science for his second-cycle education and completed with a WASSCE certificate. He is currently a level 500 student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast-Ghana, pursuing Doctor of Optometry.
Baffour-Awuah has a keen interest in-, and passion for Church music and its development. He started composing at the age of 15 when he learned how to play the keyboard. At the moment, he has so many compositions to his credit. In developing his music career and for service to God and the church, he has served as Organist for South Suntreso SDA Church, S/S A.P.S, and served as both Organist and Music Director while at Prempeh College. At UCC, he has served as Choir Secretary, and Organist for the Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS) UCC-Chapter, Principal Organist for PPCC Choir, and currently the Choir Master of the GNAAS UCC Choir. Some of the many notable singing groups/choirs he has served (and may still be serving) in the Ghanaian choral music ministry are The Seraphic Choir (South Suntreso, Kumasi), Golden Harps Chorale (Bohyen, Kumasi), Vocal Union (Kumasi), The Chord (Ejisu), Christline Choir (Accra), Adehyemba Chorale (Takoradi), Central Vocal Ensemble (Cape Coast), …, and various church choirs among others. He is currently the Chief Executive Director of Polyphonix Ghana in Kumasi, Ghana.
