He started his studies with Angelo Gilardino getting his diploma by the Conservatoire ?A. Vivaldi? in Alessandria, after having achieved his diploma by the Academy of music ?G.B. Viotti? in Vercelli. After that, he followed many specialization courses with Angelo Gilardino and Pier Narciso Masi and he studied composition with Bruno Bettinelli.
He started his concert activity as soloist and then he turned his attention to the chamber music, making with the guitar player Antonello Ghidoni a guitar duo, present in all the most important concert shows in Italy, Europe and Central America. This duo won the first absolute prize in the International Musical Contest ?Città di Stresa?.
He took part to many radio and television shows like ?Giovani Maestri? at the Vatican Radio, Rai Radio 3, Mexican Televisa, the National Argentine Radio etc. Some important composers like Pierre Wissmer, Nicola Campogrande, Sergio Chiereghin and Vittorio Zago dedicated to him some of their compositions.
Together with his concert activity, carried out with different chamber music groups (violin, piano,flute and others) , he also had an intense discographic activity, recording most of all pieces of the ?900 repertoire. He has been the first one to record the two collections of Preludes and Fugues by Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, with the favourable review of Massimo Mila, the collection of compositions for two guitars by B, Bettinelli, Daniel-Lesur, S.Chiereghin, J.Absil and the complete opera for two guitars by J.K.Mertz.
In 1977, with the flautist Michele Mo and the pianist Paola Motta, he founded the Trio Hausopera. With that Trio he made many tours in Europe, South America, United States, Asia and Africa and recorded a CD containing arias of Italian operas set down in chamber style for the recording house Rugginenti in Milan.
Actually he also make concerts in duo with the bandoneon player Daniele Di Bonaventura with whom he has recently played the Double Concert by Astor Piazzolla the Conservatoire in Turin.
He has also published some collections for flute and guitar for the Berben publishers.
