Cedric Hamelryck is a Belgium post-classical composer, based in Brussels.
His music tends to prefer harmonic beauty over virtuosity. So do not expect Chopin or Litz piano driven skills, but beautiful melodies blending together with exciting harmonies and rhythms that will take you on a musical adventure. Cedric studied harmony with Toon Van Noppen and composition with Rowy Van Hest. He mostly writes for woodwinds or piano and added electronic instruments.
Philip Glass, Max Richter, J.S. Bach and Wim Mertens have been an inspiration, but Cedric has his own unique style that has been described in the press as: minimal, dark, invigorating and experimental.
