and solo projects. Cory’s music career began in Los Angeles, where he was the lead vocalist and guitarist for the alternative rock band Limestone Rome from 1994-2000. In 2001, he turned to the piano for the first time, and has since released 3 post-classical solo piano albums, One Road, Alabaster Sky and Paso in 2001, 2006 and 2013, respectively.
His classical and modern rock influences tend to converge in his music for contemporary dance and film, where he is often likened to composers & artists such as Trent Reznor, Philip Glass, Sigur Rós and others. He has released soundtracks to 2 full-length modern dance pieces, The Casket Girls in 2009, and Water Wars in 2012.
2013 has been a busy, and highly-productive year. Cory’s new solo piano record “Paso” was released in June, and he continued his collaboration with Sonia Plumb Dance Company on an all new piece for the fall entitled “The Moon”. He’s also writing the score for Dean Lennert’s animated film “Dear Anna Olson” and developing a new horror-play with playwright Jacques Lamarre. (Hide extended text)...(Read all)
