She studied piano at the Conservatorio Vincenzo Bellini in Catania with Prof.Agata Catania, a pupil of Carlo Zecchi, and she got her diploma in Piano with excellence. She played concerts throughout Italy.After her Diploma she went to Germany and worked as pianist accompanist at the Musikhochschule in Cologne.During 1997-1999 she studied composition and orchestral conducting at the Universität für Musik un darstellende Kunst in Vienna.Her first concerts as pianist and composer in Vienna were so successful that she was soon asked by many musicians to write music for them. So many of her works were composed like the Gundulas duets 6 duets for 2 Flutes, her Trios for flute, viola and guitar that were performed in Slovakia in 1996 and broadcasted in radio.Many of Nelly LiPumas pieces were written and performed in Vienna, such as theWiener Quintett dedicated to the city of Vienna.In June 2000 she produced her CD some works of mine with artistis from the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna and from the Niederösterreichische-Tonkünstler-Orchester.In Summer 2000 she was invited at the International meeting for young composers and performers Music without Borders in the heart of Europe in the Slovakia were her CD was successfully presented.Her new compositions were played for the The Steinway Haus organized in 2001 a concert with her piano music.In Summer 2001 she was invited to the International Sommer Akademie Wien-Prag-Budapest for the premiere of her sonate for fagot and piano. The premiere was such a big success that the sonata was played again shortly after in Prag.In 2001 she has founded the Vienna International Girls choir VIGC in order to awake in young girls the joy and the enthusiasm for music.She has participated in the Talente Projekt chamber concert in Art Cult Center in the Museumquartier of Vienna 2002 where she performed her Sonate for English horn/oboe and piano, work commissioned by the sterreichische Gesellschaft für Zeitgenossische Musik.The Radio Arte Mobile in Rome has dedicated one of its radiofonic expositions to Nelly LiPuma, her music and her life.On Summer 2003 she presented her Sonate für Fagott und Klavier in a concert in the famous Castle of Dolna Krupa Slovakia.She has been chosen in order to conduct the Concert in honour of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in which occasion she presented her new work Symphonia per lEuropa.In 2004 she studies in Stockholm with MGary Graden and Prof.Anders Eby.She works as choir conductor with the Sodertälje Opera Kör Sweden as assistent of MGiovanni Impellizzeri.In 2004 she was nominated conductor of the new choir Young Voices of the Karajan Zentrum.Since December 2004 she conducts the JEDWEDER KCHENCHOR.In November 2004 the artist Marco Fedele di Catrano has dedicated to her music his Art Installation Raum für ein Klavier at the WUK in Vienna with the pianist Maria Pagliafora.From 2006 till 2012 she conducted the choir accordante of the Societá Dante Alighieri in Vienna.In 2007 she got the PREMIO CIANE in Italy for her musical career.In November 2008 her Trio BURST for violin, cello and piano, has been selected for the Composers Lounge No.2 presented in PorgyBess by the Austrian Society of Composers sterreichischer Komponistenbund.In May 2009 her Symphonia per lEuropa is performed by the Beethoven Sinfonie Orchester Wien in Steyr for the Schubert Festival.In 2009 she is invited to partecipate at the International Choir Festival in South Africa in which occasion she presents,in Cape Town,her choral piece Mambao, written for Africa.Since January 2010 she works as assistant conductor of the choir of the University of Vienna.Since 2013 she conducts the choir ARCADIA.In March 2010 she has been awarded the Premio Europeo Bianca di Navarra 2010.In 2011 she receives from the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, the honorific title ofCavaliere dellOrdine della Stella della Solidarietá Italiana.All her compositions are available by Musica Nuova-Musikverlag .Being very active as teacher she has also written many arrangiaments for choir and for piano of famous songs.She plays concerts as conductor,composer and pianist in Italy, Germany, Austria, China, Bulgaria, Georgia.Languages Italian, German, English, Spanish (Hide extended text)...(Read all)
