I was born and raised in Illinois, USA. I received music training on cornet in public schools in Granite City, Illinois under the tutelage of Ms. Elsie Maylath. I was awarded several First and First Superior medals in state competitions both as a soloist and in ensembles. Since giving that up in high school, I have been a mostly self-taught musician playing guitar, bass, drums, violin, viola, cello, trumpet, trombone, piano, organ, recorder, and shakuhachi. I have been a professional rock musician since 1982, playing bass guitar, electronic keyboards, and vocals.I has always been a fan of classical and baroque era music. String music is my greatest passion, with harpsichord and organ following closely behind.When I hear music, I imagine it played on other instruments thus, my passion for making arrangements of keyboard sonatas for strings.I currently reside with my lovely wife on a small farm in southern Illinois, whence all of this new arrangement of old music comes.
