Added by anan, 19 Aug 2017 The Hurrian Hymn n° 6, from the archaeological site of Ugarit in Syria, is the oldest musical score that we know. All the transcriptions proposed are obviously conjectural. This one is based on the hypothesis of an ancient five-tone musical system, which for us modern can be easily approximated through the pentatonic scale of g flat major, formed to the piano by the only black keys. |
