This festive setting of Psalm 100 includes choir, brass and organ. Weidner marks this piece ardito or bold, and the rhythmic writing for choir and brass supply this element. Using a rising theme, Weidner has melded texture and key changes into a fine new praise anthem.

A dynamic a cappella original with a festival feel! The opening chordal style introduces a jubilant motive in the upper voices that gives a solid foundation for the energetic bass part. A contrasting middle section gives the opportunity to practice lyrical tone and phrasing. The work finishes with a soaring optional descant or solo. In Latin throughout, with the English translation included. Exciting! Â .

Two Folk Songs (2011) are settings of traditional American folk songs, primarily associated with Appalachia. In keeping with the nature of the source material (and how it is performed in folk contexts), the settings are very straightforward. Every Night, When the Sun Goes Down is song with lyrics that focus on the transcendent peace that comes from faith, overcoming sorrow and death. Sourwood Mountain is a jubilant song with a nonsense refrain (hey-ho diddle-um day). The organ setting evokes the spirit of the banjo. As often happens in a traditional folk band, the melody is elaborated in a more virtuosic fashion on each repetition. Instrumentation: Organ Duration: 6' Composed: 2011 Published by: Zimbel Press.

This is a sweeping new original composition in a subto Scottish style from popular composer Alan Lee Silva. Just another one of the pieces that always seem to flow effortlessly from his talented pen. This is an excellent piece for any contest or festival. This Scottish-flavored, uptempo piece in has a lilting, jubilant-feel throughout. Highland Celebration is built around two rhythmic subdivisions: two groups of three eighth notes per measure and three groups of two eighth notes per measure. Have the ensemble distinguish between the two subdivisions by tapping each one separately. Make an exercise of the rhythm in mm. 1–2 in Violin 1 to facilitate playing the different rhythms precisely: (1 2 3 - 4 5 6) and (1 2 - 3 4 - 5 6). Rehearsing four- to eightmeasure sections under tempo will aid in tightening these rhythms and solidifying pitch. The sections to concentrate on are: mm. 17–24 and mm. 33–40 to make sure that Violins I and II and Cello are playing together; mm. 33–40, to focus on the Violin 1 and Violin 2 unisons and couplings; and mm. 57–62, where the quarter-note subdivisions are emphasized. The piece is book-ended with the introduction material which always begins quietly and builds. The ensemble at m. 79 starts with tutti scalar figures and increases in intensity to the final accented measures at m. 83. Written in AABA form with a double bridge at m. 45, the overall feeling is dance-like and festive.

Arsenal was composed for the 50th anniversary of the ‘Harmonie van het Spoorwegarsenaal’[railroad arsenal], based in Mechelen (Belgium). Rather a stately concert march, it has beautiful themes and a broad melody in the trio. It was premiered in the Mechelen Cultural Center on the 11th of May 1996 during the solemn ceremony, opening the anniversary year and conducted by the composer. In the mean time, Arsenal has been recorded several times by such renowed performers like the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra, the Black Dyke BB etc.

Of the 11 surviving settings of the Mass by Charpentier, the present work, ,Messe de Minuit', ist without doubt one of the most popular. The work belongs to the tradition of the parody-Mass: the composer adapted 10 noels - whose titles are given in the autograph - to the text of the Ordinary. The resulting music is fresh, charming and jubilant. The single extant source is book 66 of the 25th volume of Charpentier's autograph ,Meslanges' which was sold to the Bibliotheque Royale (now Bibliotheque Nationale) Paris. The manuscript is extremely clear. All editorial additions are placed in square brackets.(Jean-Paul Montagnier) (Jean-Paul Montagnier) The present edition is based on the manuscript from the Bibliotheque Nationale de France (Paris). It it the oldest known source of the work. The very few errors have been corrected.
