Seiber's life and work linked and developed many diverse musical influences, from the Hungarian tradition of Bart贸k and Kod谩ly, to Sch枚nberg and serial music, to jazz, folksong, film and lighter music (rewarded by an Ivor Novello Prize for By The Fountains of Rome). Six easy pieces. Par MULLER IVAN. Ivan M眉ller was born in Reval in Russia (now Tallinin, Estonia) on 3 December 1786 and died in B眉ckeburg (Germany) in 1854. In 1808/09 he performed widely as a clarinet virtuoso - in Berlin, Leipzig, Wien, Paris and many other places where he also presented the new ?clarinette omnitonique? in B flat which he had invented. The system of keys in use in Germany to this day is based on M眉llers invention. As a composer M眉ller was an exponent of the early Romantic style and wrote numerous concertos for his chosen instrument as well as this Serenade for Clarinet and Piano (or Harp or Guitar). Bernhard Heiden (1910 - 2000) was a German conductor composer and music teacher who settled in the United States in 1935. He started composing pieces at the age of 6 and studied Piano Clarinet and Violin from an early age. Much of his music is for either chamber groups or solo wind or string instruments with Piano. His Sonatina For Clarinet And Piano is one of this most frequently played works. It is written in three movements: Con Moto Andante and Vivace.

Edward Gregson completed Tributes in the summer of 2010. Lasting some 16 minutes there are five pieces in the set each dedicated to a different composer and a different clarinettist (with whom Gregson had long musical associations). The Wagner and Mendelssohn are of course popular at weddings and the slow movement of the Mozart concerto creates a beautiful ambience.My own piece 'Wedding Bells' conveys a celebratory loving and joyous atmosphere and 'on the big day' I played it during the signing of the register accompanied by the father of the bride - it was an emotional performance!These arrangements are intended to catch the mood: purists please forgive me - Wagner Mozart and Mendelssohn may not have written every note here but I hope that they would approve.

Sonatas op.120 for Clarinet and Piano-In 1894 Johannes Brahms asked the clarinettist Richard M眉hlfeld to visit him during his beloved summer sojourn in Ischl adding “It would be really wonderful if you brought your B flat Clarinet with you andif you were in no great hurry” – for the two Sonatas Op. 120 were waiting to be rehearsed. The first performances were given privately directly afterwards and the press enthusiastically reported: “Thesonatas [...] are wonderful and will cause a great sensation”. These were the last chamber pieces Brahms wrote before his death and are considered two of the great masterpieces in the Clarinet repertoire.
