Famous Pieces By G. F. Handel For Eb Alto Saxophone And Piano – Vol. 2 is an anthology of four pieces arranged for Alto Saxophone and Piano by Marcel Mule. This second book features four sonatas all composed initially by G. F. Handel and part of the collection “Saxophone Classics” by Mule. - First sonata: Flute and Piano - Second sonata: Violin and Piano - Fourth sonata: Flute and Piano - Sixth sonata: Violin and Piano  Each sonata should be played separately and their level of difficulty is quite challenging which would match the abilities ofupper intermediate / advanced players who have mastered their breathing. Marcel Mule (1901-2001) is one of the greatest French saxophonists renowned worldwide for his work on the classical Saxophone repertoire. He was teaching his students how to obtain a good quality of sound and believed it was dependent on the embouchure the emission the mastery of vibrato and thus of breathing. He wrote different methods that focus on technique articulation and tone productions such as 'Dix-huit Exercices ou Études' 'Exercices Journaliers d’après Terschack' or '30 Grands Exercices ou Études d’après Soussmann' (in two books) among others.

To this day Eugène Bozza (1905-1991) remains one of the most prolific composers for wind instruments despite being a violinist himself. His Parade Des Petits Soldats for Alto Saxophone and Piano is no exception to the composer's success. During his studies at the Paris Conservatoire Bozza won prizes for Violin conducting and composition as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. He then conducted the orchestra of the Opéra-Comique and became Head of the Conservatoire in Valenciennes whilst remaining a prominent composer. Composed in 1964 Bozza's Parade Des PetitsSoldats for Alto Saxophone and Piano is a delightful work for beginner to intermediate saxophonists addressing a variety of features. As music educationalist Paul Griffiths has written of Bozza's compositions 'his works reveal melodic fluency elegance of structure and a consistenly sensitive concern of instrumental capabilities.'

Jindrich Feld's Sonata for Alto Saxophone and Piano is frequently performed by virtuoso Saxophonists. Composed in 1989-90 the Sonata is elaborate and quirky and successfully exploits many extended techniques on the instrument. Born in Prague Feld (1925-2007) studied Violin and Viola with his parents before studying at the Conservatory and Academy of Music of his native city. His compositions predominantly instrumental soon became popular being performed all over the world. As reflected in his Sonata for Alto Saxophone and Piano Feld's style is deeply rooted in the Czechmusical tradition but he also integrated the main styles of 20th century Western music. The Sonata is made up of four movements 1. Allegro ritmico 2. Adagio/Bells of liberty 3. Allegro vivo/Scherzo and 4. Allegro con fuoco. Each movement of the Sonata presents different challenges from fast staccato semiquaver flourishes to the lyrical slurred passages. This Feld piece is highly virtuosic yet an excellent and enjoyable performance for all advanced saxophonists.

The great Fantaisie Italienne is a piece composed by Eugène Bozza and transcribed for Alto Saxophone and Piano by Marcel Mule. Quite difficult it requires some advanced skills to be executed perfectly. Starting Moderato it opens with a cadenza which includes some Solo Saxophone sections and continues with a short and lyrical melody. It closes on a nice rhythmic section in Allegro. Really nice to play and to listen to  Fantaisie Italienne is amazing to demonstrate your skills and technical abilities during a recital and a concert. Eugène Bozza wondifferent prizes at the Conservatoire de Paris such as the First Prizes for the Violin conducting and composition as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. He composed several operas chamber works and ballets among others.

The collection spans three centuries from the blind bardic harpists of the 18th century to the international performers of the present day.
